The Quintessential Juggernaut HeroClix DialA few weeks ago we did a poll asking you to vote on a new Quintessential article, and you chose Juggernaut! Remember, Polls actually matter at HeroClix World!

As you can see, the Quintessential Juggernaut comes in at 3 different point values, allowing you to field him in a multitude of teams. At each point value (300, 200, or 100), he always starts with the You X-Wimps Can't Hurt Me Special power, which is a modified version of Impervious. And he's going to need it too -- fortunately he also gets a little help from the Remove The Helmet Trait, which gives him some good protection against ranged powers!

Dial by Eric Schaen (continued below)...

The Quintessential Juggernaut HeroClix Dial

On the powers side, he has lots of Charge and Super Strength, with a touch of Regeneration and Flurry. Remember, Juggy has always been a melee character, and it's reflected here with his fairly hig attack values and deadly close abilities like Exploit Weakness for 4 damage!

Otherwise, Juggy is a straight up beatstick -- get him in and do some damage, and let him stay in the battle for you! Personally we like him best at the 200 point value or 100 point value, where he can be more of a team member rather than a 300-tent-pole. We're also pleased with the Indomitable and excellent defense values (and damage reduction).

Kudos to Eric for making an excellent Quintessential Juggernaut!

This is Juggy at his comic book best!

JonJon - That is because the Juggernaut is better than the Hulk

Why is the quintessential Juggernaut better than the quintessential Hulk. . .

wow. I really like this dial. the whole helmet/relic thing is very cool IMHO. I would like to make an exile team with this guy.

So a few things..
1.) I agree the helmet should become a relic that Jugs can roll for to pick back up. Since the reality of it is that depending on when the close combat attack happen he could in theory pick the helment back up next round.

2.) Super Strenght should ALWAYS be a trait of his / hulk(s) PERIOD. This rule could also apply to Fear Itself Colussus.

3.)I love the X-Whimps ability that's classic.

I'm going to go the opposite way to The Le here and say I love the 300 version. He is tough enough to stand as a tent pole and, at this point level, you can actually do the old Juggernaut vs entire original X-Men team battles of yore. I like the other start lines, but we already have team player Juggernauts this is the one man army we lack.

Can I request a Purgatori ir Lady Death dial?

@ David:

The intent is to Remove the helmet when the attack is made against Juggernaut.

I love this dial. Two things, I wish Heroclix would just make a super strength trait for all those characters like this you could add so much other powers to the attack, and along with that I would get rid of the regen click won't ever land on it. I would play this piece though. Great job!!

***FIX*** SORRY - PC ISSUE

Would you remove the helmet token when an opposing character makes a successful close combat attack and doubles against Jugg, or against anyone?

Great Dial Man!!!!

One question? The 'Remove The Helmet' trait.

Would you remove the helmet token when an opposing character makes a successful close combat attack and doubles

Posted by: David on 9/26/2014 12:44:10 PM
@azjuggalo
It is a good idea but realistically, his opponent, much like X men in the show, begin to just onslaught him with attacks. Because of this he neither has the time or focus to do so. Also in game play, using a double power action leaves him open, especially if it requires him to move to the helmet assuming it is an object not placed beside him.

Very solid dial. Feels like the Juggernaut. One of the things I like about this series, is that comic accuracy seems to be a consideration in the designers work. Keep em coming!

so i do really like this, but i have an odd issue and i have this same issue in the comics/cartoons for the character. why doesnt he ever just pick the helmet up after. in game id like to see it as a double power action (one to pick up and one to put it back on). but if he already has a token he then takes 1 penetrating damage that ignores the helmet rule of course.
