Just before the set came out I said to myself " I'll be happy with any super rare EXCEPT THE THING"
And when I opened my boosters.....and I was not impressed for there in the booster, was none other than the Thing....
I better get Mistress Death to make up for it

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 4/17/2012 3:48:50 PM
completed the set!

Posted by: bp29 on 4/17/2012 3:36:16 AM
Pulled Galactus, kinda disappointed on how it assembles. Am I to assume these all need to be glued as he comes apart way to easy.

Posted by: scourge101 on 4/14/2012 2:50:25 PM
I pulled giganto dorrammamu uato galactus and ziran. chases are thanos keeper and d doom super rares are all exept for stranger and thanos. complete cur plus mmmmmmmmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnyyyyyyyyyy doubles

Posted by: bp29 on 4/14/2012 4:39:22 AM
My comic shop really treats me good. I got Ziran, Galactus, Master mold x 2, & Giganto for my Colossal pulls. They gave me a Marquee fig and other Heroclix GG cool stuff that I can't disclose, lol! It pays to pre-pay in advance, like 2 months in advance! Sadly this may be my last buy for awhile. Good times!

"Question: On Mistress Deaths card at the top (where it has a picture of the figure) there are two pictures of her, one on either side of the card. One where she is a skeleton and the other where she is human. Why is this?

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 4/7/2012 8:01:09 PM"

Nightwing-fan's answer is a good one but there also the fact there are two different version of Death in the Galactic Guardians set according the previews on Figures.com. :-)

Posted by: phep on 4/10/2012 8:35:24 PM
Sir Christopher,

Cosmo is a telepath. He is also a good dog, so he rarely bites. In Guardians of the Galaxy his Pulse Wave and Incap powers were shown when he would enforce his role as security chief by subduing everybody around him with a telepathic brain blast.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 4/10/2012 7:25:51 AM
I dont know if it is still current, but in the comics from the 80's-early 90's when Death is talking to Thanos. She is preceived as one side of her body being a skeleton while the other represents a beautiful young woman. I vaguely remember she said one time that the human side represents a kinder more gently version of her that good people met when they died. While the skeleton side was used to greet those who were evil and to show them no kindness at all when they died. It just shows you that death does have compassion for some people.

Cosmo - This has to be one of the strangest powers combination/dials i have seen in a long time. No powers that I would associate with a dog, except maybe the INCAP (Loud barking?)

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 4/7/2012 10:01:18 AM
Sit Cosmo Sit... Good Dog!!!

I'm liking the first 2 clicks on the dial and the last click pulse wave option. PD is a nice touch for the GotG range attackers. This figure might actually make Phyla-Vell Quasar playable in a GotG team.

Posted by: phep on 4/6/2012 8:43:52 PM
Halt! Sit! Stay!

That does it. That enough. No more Mr. Nice Dog. Now Cosmo hurt EVERYONE.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 4/6/2012 5:10:45 PM
Doom, all 3 versions are nice, not sure which I will get. The only failure I see so far is the op kit, cant stand reused molds from previous sets, sorry....

Posted by: scourge101 on 4/6/2012 2:16:43 PM
Hmm... I like the dial & stats on GG Dr. Doom plus he got a cool trait and special power but I think when compared to the FF starter one from Secret Invasion that version is still a much better even though it cost 31 pts. more to field.

Re: Doombot--Um...Servo-ACTUATORS maybe?

Posted by: Johnnys65 on 3/30/2012 3:36:46 PM
@White Phoenix of the Crown, it comes out April 11th as of right now. I just got an email from my distributor saying that it would be the 11th.

Posted by: japete61 on 3/27/2012 6:07:23 PM
Does anyone know when this comes out? I've heard a least 4 different release dates and was wondering if anyone knew for sure.

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 3/27/2012 4:45:43 PM
@Sir Christopher: Technically the defender's owner can choose option 1.

"Had Enough Clobberin' Yet?": Is there something in the text there that prevents this power from being looped?"

I don't see anything that prevents this power from comtinually being used. Over and Over again as it is a free action.

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 3/27/2012 2:53:49 PM
from my understanding, thing can make up to 3 attacks if going through option 2...

Posted by: 2517582 on 3/26/2012 12:13:24 PM
@MantisWarrior - OOOoooohhhh... I didn't catch that the victim's owner gets to decide - that's great!

Posted by: kragnorak on 3/26/2012 11:28:31 AM
so i hear that this set wont come out til april 11th now instead of the 4th.. can anyone confirm this?

Posted by: imnotbatman on 3/25/2012 6:09:15 PM
I'm starting to think Wizkids got a "thing" for the Thing! That special power is crazy.

Posted by: phep on 3/23/2012 7:08:18 PM
wow thing is crazy can't wait for him.

Posted by: Green scar89 on 3/23/2012 5:24:36 PM
I hate when they make well known characters super rare. Just to alternate suits/ timelines so people can at least get the thing , even I'd the super rare is better.

Posted by: skippy on 3/23/2012 11:55:32 AM
Final colossal: Hmmm, I doubt we will see Tim Boo Ba, so I'm going to hope for either Red Ronin or Growing Man (since Kang is in the set). Of course, I think of Growing Man as more of a giant so I'm not convinced.

That reminds me, Red Ronin was created originally to fight Godzilla, so I really would like to see HeroClix do the big guy even though he can't be officially associated with Marvel.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 3/23/2012 10:27:17 AM
@Karagnarok
It specifically says it CAN be looped in italics underneath! Presumably most players will opt for option 1 as otherwise you're on the recieving end of limitlesss damage presuming he hits. The power seems to activate with charge too! Mind you the FF starter Thing was soooo good for 100 points that any new Things are going to have to top that one or remain unplayed outside restrictions imposed by format.

Posted by: MAntis Warrior on 3/23/2012 10:24:14 AM
"Had Enough Clobberin' Yet?": Is there something in the text there that prevents this power from being looped?

This is the best Thing I've seen, although he looks small compared to that base. I see he's Super-Rare so I'm guessing that he and Reed are going to be in the set, completing the SRs from Captain America. And then the Future Foundation will be in Chaos War.

"Lyja will be a welcomed edition to my FF teams (especially the new FF team consisting of Wolverine, Spider-Man, Joe Fix-It, & Ghost Rider due to their lack of mobility). Her Trait also makes her an a**et to Human Torch/Johnny Storm FF builds (someone pointed out on another website that she can be used with the Jim Hammond Human Torch too).

Posted by: phep"

Don't worry. I'm sure Wizkids will come up with an arrata on the issue of the Jim Hammond HT. They love arratas.

Not a big fan with the special powers that require 2 specific characters. The only one I have seen used effective is the Falcon/Cap combo. THat was only because Falcon could carry Cap and they he use runshot to move into the doorway and shoot. Them both being flyers does hinder the use of the ability as far as when a move and attack ability is used. If HT is going to runshot someone You may need to move Lyja 1st causing you to use an action and then move HT
I think that she is over cost for 80pts and having only 1 clix of runshot, 2 clix Psiblast, a average attack of 9 and only doing 2 damage 13pts per click.

sorry Ianator gonna have to shoot you down that thanos on throne is the grandprize for winning the infinity gauntlet organized play in the final month

Posted by: ALgeorge on 3/20/2012 8:58:46 PM
Do I get a prize for finding out what the 6th colossal figure will be? It's Thanos standing on his white base column base stand. Page 5 :-) Makes sense right? You heard it hear first... I think.

"Seductive Infiltrator" - I can only imagine the honeymoon one would have with a shape-changing chick nicknamed "Lazerfist". Yikes!

Posted by: Kragnorak on 3/16/2012 11:39:43 AM
I like Martinex. He can potentiallly hit multiple figures for EE damage and incap the same or another target within range & LOF as a free action. His Defense SP is also pretty good as long as the opponent's attack rolls are below average(which helps out with his below average DVs). He would make a good secondary attacker if he can get a Guardian of Galaxy team member to share at least 18 DV with him (Groot is becoming all kinds of useful these days for GoG team builds).

Posted by: phep on 3/9/2012 8:55:29 PM
Cardinal of the UCT – Good combat values for a GRUNT. These guy can dish out the damage with a combo of CC Expert and/or Exploit Weakness for 6 clicks makes them a threat. The Belief Battery Power is a nice touch for a theme team but the situation might not present itself in a sealed tournament. Do like the resistant defense on all but the last click. The Regen on the last click could be help to keep them alive.
All this and 7 clix of life for 66 pts = 9.42 pts per clix makes this a good support piece that you can play more than one of.

Love the big hammer _ Want to take the hammer and mod it with a Harlequin figure

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 3/5/2012 3:43:57 PM
The Universal Church of Truth! I BELIEVE!!!

Also, I like the way Cosmic-Fan thinks. I thought the same thing about Silver Surfer's lightning bolts vs. the sculpt but he wrote it :-)

"I agree Shazbot, I'm really getting tired of everyone dogging every figure that comes out. You're gonna find something you don't like regardless. Can't please everyone. But anyway, I love this fig! He's gonna be awesome! Can't you just imagine on his white box using Running Shop for his full speed combined with an 8 range, potentially you could target someone from 20 squares away. Awesome!

Posted by: CosmicGeek on 2/24/2012 5:16:30 PM"

actually, you can potentially hit people up to 26 squares away. can still perplex his range and speed by 3 more each. 20 base though, and that is really something

Posted by: Ianator73 on 2/24/2012 5:08:58 PM
One word: TAXI!!!!!!!

Honestly... this is everything you could have ever wanted from a surfer. He might not have the highest values for his cost but he's got lots of life and he's always on the move with Hypersonic and Phasing for almost his whole dial. This is the kind of figure you team up with another bruiser or two in a 600 point team and carry them into the fray. Perplex and Penetrating ensure he's always going to be keeping up with your other attackers for the first half of his dial even.

Posted by: Shazbot on 2/24/2012 2:02:55 PM
This is " the " best Silversurfer Sculpt ever made for Heroclix . However the dial contradicts the sculpt , because the dial indicates Surfer only has ( One-Arrow ). The sculpt has both his hands glowing with power . The Silversurfer should have ( Two-Arrows ).

WTH? This Hulk sucks!

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 2/19/2012 3:25:25 PM
A hulk that does not get better as he goes as far a combat dails? Don't see this piece being played often or ever. The charm of a Hulk piece usually is that the more he gets hit the better he gets until the end. Not seeing it in this version

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 2/19/2012 1:16:54 PM
I hate to say it but I think the Hulk from the main GG set isn't really as good as some of the ones in the Incredible Hulk set. The trait is also very situational. In comparsion to another similar beatstick figure like Hollywood in the same set Hollywood has a much better dial design even if you removed indomitable & flight from the figure.

Posted by: phep on 2/18/2012 2:06:59 AM
HULK... That's the way uh-huh-uh-huh, I DON'T like it, uh-huh-uh-huh!

Posted by: Ianator73 on 2/17/2012 7:58:04 PM
HULK LAME!!! What a waste of a great sculpt! I admit I'm pretty stoked about Galactus and Mastermold, but it's pretty sad when the most intriguing figure in the base set is a new Doombot. Maybe the base set Dr Doom or Thing will be worthwhile

Posted by: Licensedhero on 2/17/2012 7:29:32 PM
Please Wizkids, pretty, pretty, please. If you can't make Hulk right, just stop ok? This is embarassing for the big green guy. What happened to the days of 6 damage for the big guy. He got some respect then at least. Sure he couldn't move and fell to an outwitter like a ton of bricks, but he didn't stink this bad. I don't hate the dial, don't get me wrong, but this just isn't the Hulk. This is like one of the wrecking crew or something. We desperately need another big Hulk. One that would make Green Scar weep in terror. I have no problem fronting a 300 point Hulk if he's worthy. Here's holding out hope for the movie version, but honestly, not much.....

Posted by: Webslinger14 on 2/17/2012 1:18:46 PM
Wow, this Hulk is horrible! No impervious, no indomitability, leap/climb for only 3 clicks, and his dial gets worse the more damage he takes! What happened to "the angrier he gets the stronger he gets"? The only good things I can see with this Hulk are his damage powers and his TA. Please whoever wins and gets to make a figure make the Hulk and treat him how he should be since no one can seem to figure it out at wizkids.

Posted by: Japete61 on 2/17/2012 12:39:05 PM
Defanitly wants the Annihilators FF Pack the only collosal I wasnts is Glactus thats all I wants

Posted by: The Wanderer on 2/17/2012 12:05:47 PM
@Sir Christopher - if you use Flashpoint Aquaman FLOOD THE LAND IN REVENGE: When Aquaman is KO'd, all grounded terrain becomes squares of water terrain for the rest of the game instead of squares of clear, hindering, or blocking terrain, even though this character is not on the map.. That solves your issue of not enough water boards, or you can just throw a few bucks of water on the board.. lol

Posted by: Clix Clown on 2/13/2012 9:29:17 AM
I have to agree with phep about Namor. The transporter ability will make his useful at 120 points. If it wasn't for that, I doubt I would have ever used him in any tourney. The Imperious Rex while is bad for your opponent when you roll leadership. I wish it also gave friendly characters a +1 on there rolls.

I'll be trying him out when I get him, but I still may just stick with the 150 point version from Secret Invasion. I use that one often.

Posted by: Nightwign-fan on 2/13/2012 5:54:59 AM
Namor - Like the figuare. The Ability sounds interesting just wish that there were more Waterbased maps. Would have liked to so him with charge of starting his movement in printed water terrain (not the silly bucket). I stll want to mod a Tigershark to be carrying a water bucket.

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 2/12/2012 11:55:12 AM
At first I was going to say this Namor is a bit disappointing as there's no move & attack powers despite the high AV, DV, & Damage but then I see the transporter symbol then that changed my entire outlook of his dial. The Imperius Rex SP really screws over swarm teams that rely on multiple Ld rolls to work.

Posted by: phep on 2/10/2012 8:32:08 PM
Yeah....this set looks way better than Incredible Hulk.

Posted by: Spider-Man 071 on 2/9/2012 6:37:02 PM
This is a power like Sauron from Lord of the Rings clix Sir Christopher. You outwit, but you have to take the power that makes him unoutwittable first. With two outwitters, you can do it, with one, you cannot.

Posted by: Webslinger14 on 2/6/2012 2:24:00 PM
“Welcome to My Realm – Dormammu’s other powers can’t be countered.”
I find this odd. The power does not state Welcome to My Realm can not be countered, just other powers. You counter Welcome to My Realm and then it appears you can counter any powers left. Not sure if this was the intention of the power.

Oh yea! Another new errata before a set comes out.

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 2/6/2012 2:12:23 PM
I'm trying to figure out which dial and sculpt is more accurate: This Dormammu or the one from Infinity Challenge ;-)

Posted by: Kragnorak on 2/6/2012 12:50:28 PM
Dormammu's image and dial is great! Finally! Looking forward to this! Now where's our HULK?

Posted by: Ianator on 2/6/2012 11:06:38 AM
Wondering how Quasar is going to be changed in the FF booster. Hoping he still keeps the Phase/attack power but, Sigh, He probibly won't. The power was neat as it is the closest they have come up to Combat Teleport. Sorry to say but Nightcrawler should have the power to teleport(phase) 1/2 his distance and then attack and teleport the remainder of his movement - Not HSS

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 2/5/2012 4:47:51 PM
I really like Strange.
Looking for Alex, Lorna and Rachel!

Dr. Strange is throwing the devil horns! Rock on Dr. Strange!!!

Posted by: Commander Awesomesauce on 2/3/2012 5:41:30 PM
Strange is great, for sure, but the SI one is excellent already. Give me Brother Voodoo, Red Hood and/or Damien Helstorm...

I do agree though, I'm more excited for this set than any any set before it, and I've been buying Heroclix since Armor Wars and Collateral Damage, really even before that.

Posted by: Preacher13 on 2/3/2012 5:27:13 PM
3 clicks of smoke cloud, 2 with willpower, and a free move action every turn?! The possibilities are endless, I know which of the 3 forms is my favorite

Posted by: Captain Awesome on 2/3/2012 3:54:35 PM
Even if DR Strange astrial forms are added into your build. It's 1 dr Strange and 8 Astrial forms for 300 pts.

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 2/3/2012 3:44:49 PM
@Japete61 Yeah, the way I'm reading it, your points build is already calculated at the beginning of the game. I think this plays like the Larafleeze Construct tokens. In theory, you could just keep pumping them out, right?

If I understand it correctly, the purpose of the points on the Astral Dr. Strange is because if your opponent KOs them, then they get to count that to their points for winning purposes.

Posted by: ChronoFett on 2/3/2012 2:05:29 PM
Dr. Strange tends to annoy opponents as it is - this one may cause serious real-life violence!

I am hoping they will include a version where he wears that weird blue hood, for Defenders vs. Offenders..

Posted by: Kragnorak on 2/3/2012 2:03:10 PM
Nice Dr. Strange! Those astral forms are cool; are they another form of AE? Or this some new mechanic that will be incorporated with Dr. Strange and other Magical/Mystical type characters?

Posted by: rwint1968 on 2/3/2012 1:08:18 PM
Great Dr. Strange! Should be a force on most teams. My only question is with the astral form trait, does the Astral figure come into the game for free or do you need to add him into your point total for the game? From how I'm reading it I think it might be free build wise, any thoughts?

Posted by: Japete61 on 2/3/2012 11:09:49 AM
That's the way uh-huh-uh-huh, I like it, uh-huh-uh-huh!

Posted by: Ianator on 2/2/2012 6:22:25 PM
@ Orc. I was finally able to sit down and read Master Mold and Giganto's cards. Outwit will work on both, but you cant perplex Master Mold. It says that in his Advanced Sentinel trait along with a couple of other powers, Mind control and Penetrating Psychic Blast.

Posted by: Nightwing-fan on 2/2/2012 9:16:05 AM
Nightwing Fan.. I didnt think you could use outwit or perplex or any other special ability on colosal sized figures? course i havent messed with once since the S01 sentinal and his rules said no special abilities could be used on the colosal sized figures...

Posted by: Orc on 2/1/2012 6:22:20 PM
@white crown: its a celestial
@Kragnorak:there is the omega prime sentinels from gsx @ 59 points for 2nd factory clix

Posted by: morgan on 1/31/2012 2:14:59 PM
I wonder if there will are cheap Sentinels planned or if the Factory dial is intended to be used with the old-school Sentinel Troopers.

I know I need more of them, I think I have 1!

Is there any info on G-002? Im hoping its phoenix or odin (in the armor he wears when he fights galactus)

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 1/30/2012 5:52:16 PM
I like both colossals. But I'm a little disappointed in the Mole Monster. He looks great, but is weaker then I thought. At his 100 point line the Fantastic Four Starter Thing I feel could beat him. Not sure if the 4 starter FF members could do it, but I wouldn't bet against them. As far as Master Mold goes, he's pretty good, but as I see on both of them. Outwit and perplex will cripple both of them. Its going to interesting to see how a 1500 point X-Men team would do against Master Mold. I need to start building one to see.

Posted by: Nightwing-fan on 1/30/2012 2:06:41 PM
Im glad theres a Morg and all but shouldnt he be waay stronger? He single handedly took down silver surfer, nova, firelord, terrax, and airwalker!...at the same time

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 1/29/2012 12:40:33 PM
Looks kind of like parts of Morg are chromed, I hope they start doing that to figures again. It would be nice to see another all chrome Silver Surfer.

Posted by: Japete61 on 1/29/2012 10:52:14 AM
I'm really hoping for a new Havok and Polaris in this set since they've had a part in the whole galactic saga as of late ... and we need more X-Mutants!!

I think I'm going to like the Nova Corp keyworded figures in GG. It like they have access to different team abilities through the traits on each of figures previewed.

i can get a brick i like thanos alot.

Posted by: bp29 on 1/21/2012 7:07:14 AM
I think it's awesome! I would still play the NOVA Corp team members no matter how they look. It's NOVA for heaven sake! Much cooler than any DC characters. I would just build a NOVA team with the Infinity Gauntlet and all the gems and pawn on everyone.

Posted by: CosmicGeek on 1/20/2012 1:25:25 PM
So... we can play the many and varied Green Lantern Corps aliens or we can play with Nova Corp generics that all appear to hail from Earth and are clones of Richard Rider.

Hmmmmmmmmm...

"Now that you mentioned it (Kragnorak) isn't Hollywood really "future" Wonder Man?"

Ianotar, that's exactly what I meant. It looks like a Wonder Man dial (an awesome one) on a Hollywood sculpt. Hollywood is much more decrepit. I would prefer something similar to his Rookie MM dial for that :b

I just saw Captain Marvel and I like him. He reminds me of the original unique verson of him many years ago. I will be using him and the fact he is a rare should make it easier to get one.

@Japete - Uatu feels solid, while Galactus is very light...

And no, I'm not the Ryan who posts under Glass Cabinet Films... I forget his username on the Realms.... he had Rocket Raccoon for his avatar though.

Now that you mentioned it (Kragnorak) isn't Hollywood really "future" Wonder Man? The similarities are a give away. :-)-

OK big question, pun intended. I can see the Smaller collosals like they packed the GSX line but with so many 3x6 coming out I assume they will not be random boxes but actual display??? have not seen anything in print to confirm, as I am waiting for Master Mold.....hopeing he can build sentinels during game play....thanks

Dude, any modern age character obver 100 pts, with range and a move and attack power has a shot at defeating that piece

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 12/31/2011 12:24:52 PM
The only problem with Hollywood, is that his dial is like Wonder Man in his prime. I read the Guardians of the Galaxy with Hollywood and he is old and is having trouble keeping his powers focused.

I don't have a problem with his long dial, but with the amount of damage he is able to dish out, with the endurance (Indomitable) of a much younger man.

For 2012 after this set and one more DC set, I am slowing down on purchasing heroclix. It's time for some much deserved RnR. I would hope to return to catch up on what I have missed in 2013. I'll still be checking Heroclix world of course! Happy New Year everyone! Numbers 6: 24-26

Posted by: Ianator on 12/31/2011 11:28:57 AM
Hollywood - First 4 clicks are nasty. Kind of like the 3 damage. He's a great secondary attacker that most players will over look as no range and only 3 damage. Character should not be overlooked as a great tie up piece for a Hulk Type character. He wwill last in a CC fight.

Gladiator – Awsome piece for having no “white” powers. The ability looks very cool. Looks like he could hold his own against Superman for around the same point value. Would have liked to have had the “Confidence is My Strength” ability limited to not being able to be used on damage. Scary that he could be doing 10 click of damage using a Heavy Object. Give him the Metorite Object and someone going down fast if not KO’d in one shot.

Posted by: phep on 12/30/2011 2:39:49 AM
For all the comments of "why only 5 range?" it's a matter of game balance if you look at it this way for example.

Gladiator's starting click is 10 movement with HSS, 12 attack with super strength, & 5 damage which is pretty good considering he's only 195 pts. His second click is similar to his first with only a single digit drop in stats. It seems even without Indomitable he's relatively push friendly depending on what you want to do with him.

He can one shot KO most figures with an object on a attack roll of 5 or higher most of the time (I consider the standard DV to be 17). He drops steadily from there but the drop in stats isn't so drastic that he's no longer useful as an attacker on his later clicks.

Also since he has Leadership for his first 2 clicks Gladiator can carry a figure with the boot symbol of a lower point value (say one with a range attack) that has already attacked in the same turn prior to him making a HSS attack on either the same target or different one (since the range attacks seems to have dropped to 8 squares as the norm from the last few sets the target should been within his HSS range), then be able to use that figure as a meat shield while he clears at the start of the next turn in addition to possibly remove an action token from the figure he carried with a successful Ld roll so it can attack again without pushing! The potential combos you can come with for a sealed team with Gladiator is pretty awesome if you think about it!

He's also almost on par with Vet. Superman from Icons if you factor in his trait. If you gave him a 10 range then he should cost as much as V Icons Supes if not more since he has a full movement track of powers, high damage values for most of his dial, and can regenerate from damage up to click #3 if the roll is high enough. In a set were most of the good figures are probably going to be north of 40 pts. it would be hard enough to put together a 300 pts. sealed team with him in it if his point cost wa

Posted by: 2517582 on 12/29/2011 8:41:29 PM
Well, I like this Gladiator and the sculp is pretty cool, but I have 2 complaints. Like most of the people have already posted, why is his range only 5. That's lame. Even the old one had a 10. Come on Wizkids, I hope you guys are reading. Also, he should have Indomitable. He is an immensely powerful cosmic superbeing on the scale of Superman who has held his own against some of Marvel's best heavy-hitters and walked away to tell about it. He should have it, plain and simple. Thanks.

Posted by: Greg on 12/29/2011 2:40:46 PM
I really like this Gladiator, I think he's awesome, but yeah what's up with the 5 range? Gladiator's vision is comparable to Superman and his laser vision can target foe for miles away. I've never used the one from MM, but it would seem they got it right.

All and all, I can't wait to get one!

Posted by: CosmicGeek on 12/29/2011 1:36:45 PM
For the Keywords and Theme ruling. Since Alter Ego Theme only before the battle starts, his rolls and rolls targeting him can't use theme rerolls, just as a mind controlled figure can't use the theme rerolls.

ahaha seems kinda commonist with that red arm up...

Posted by: Flacco on 12/29/2011 3:17:06 AM
Gladiator is NOT too top-heavy - he is perfect! At first I thought that if Gladiator takes damage then confidence tokens should be removed, but then I realized that his stats get crappier as he takes damage which already takes that part into account :-)

It is interesting that he can regen up to Invuln, but not Impervious.

Finally, any ideas why his range is only 5? I am used to his MM version that can snipe a long distance. (I see this is not the click in the Fast Forces pack, btw - I wonder what that range is.)

Posted by: Kragnorak on 12/29/2011 12:18:58 AM
Wow, Gladiator is actually better than most of the older Marvel tentpole figures and some of the DC ones at 195 points. 6 clicks of move and attack powers with good combinations of damage powers in the mix (this Gladiator is very feat friendly). I like the trait and I find it a bit funny they gave him Leap/Climb so he can break away and then regenerate on the next turn. I believe he's only the second flying character to have the Leap/Climb power on his movement track (the first being Mimic from the Mutant Mayhem set).

Gladiator! Yyyyyyeeeeessssss!!!!!!!!

Posted by: geminimerc on 12/28/2011 4:41:29 PM
@Sir Christopher, I think they did a good job with the points and dial on Galactus. To me all of his dials are very what I would consider comic accurate down to his combat values. To me, Galactus is the one figure that should be "broken" and all but unbeatable at any level. I would much rather have this than the always over powered Superman. No way they should have made him that good in the Superman set.

Posted by: japete61 on 12/28/2011 2:18:37 PM
Galactus – Not overly crazy about the sculpt. His legs look weird. Regardless. The dials look awesome. Finally a piece that could take on the Spectre and hold his own. Whoa, is the Spectre. The problem that I have is Galactus to WAY too Overpowered for his points. It looks like he has a 300 point dial that could hold his own if not defeat the Spectre at 600 Pts. The problem is that in a 300 point unrestricted build you would be a fool not to play him. I cannot thick of a 300 point team that could even pose a threat to him. I would have increased the dial cost by at least 150 points so the disclaimers of no Galactus or colossal could be played. Which is unfortunate because that would include an Sentinels. It seems that Wiz kids have swung to the opposite side of the spectrum. Any ultra power and almost unbeatable

from everything ive seen, all of the boxes are the same size. they make galactus hollow, and the watcher solid to even out the weight. either way, both look awesome. uatus "watcher" dial and galactus' herald are sweet

Posted by: 2517582 on 12/27/2011 8:11:49 PM
Galactus is a lot bigger than the Watcher, how are they going to fit two figures of such different size in the same box? Think they are maybe going to put two of the smaller gsx size figures to a booster and only one Galactus size? The weight difference I would think be a give away as to what was in the booster. I'm already super excited about everything I have seen in this set so far tho.

Pretty excited about the Watcher and other SS characters. That Beta Ray Bill looks familiar though, actually so do a couple others. The Master Mold might be nice if they have some affordable Sentinels to collect with him. Looks pretty good so far, though I'd prefer not to have recycled molds.

Daaaah? He's going to be so over cost that no one can afford to play him or if they do other people will not even filed their team. I did that as a judge, my venue allows the judge to play. Set up a 600 pt unlimited tournament. Players wining "I want to play high points teams" I put Spectre on the board and one kid got up and left and then wined to the owner. My team was totally Legitiment. Frickin Baby

Okay, I just wet my pants again! By the time this set comes out I am gonna have a whole new set of pants. Hahaha!

Besides Galactus, this is gonna be my absolute must have this year, 13 attack on his first click, penetrating phsyic blast through his dial and his trate is other character can't heal, COOL!!

One thing they should have gave him was at least a 10 range with 3 bolts. Other than that I LOVE IT!

Actually, Galactus may need to be assembled. There is no confirmation on him though. But, there will most likely be no moveable parts because Heroclix figures are not supposed to be action figures.

I agree, I would like to see a few of the Imperial Guard as well, although I would imagine them to all be power houses pretty much. The problem is who do you use from that bunch? Besides that female Gladiator of course (forgot her name).

I would like to see more of the Inhumans done right or at least updated, or maybe even the crew from the Starjammer. Oh and they gotta redo Darkhawk, he's gottin so much better since the last one.

There's so much they could do with this set, I can't wait, getting excited just thinking about it again.

Posted by: CosmicGeek on 12/8/2011 5:38:02 PM
White Phoenix,

The fast forces reprints of older sculpts doesn't bother me at all. I like the way they do things now compared to the redundant R/E/Vs that used to get made.

But I just noticed a picture on that box. It looks like Gladiator is getting remade. I can only imagine how buff he will be since I am currently destroying many opponents with the Mutant Mayhem version in an ongoing mega-battle.

I also hopes this means more of the Praetorian Guard or whatever they're called, since he has often been lonely. I vote for Stuff!

Posted by: Kragnorak on 12/8/2011 2:16:54 PM
You know, I really like the idea of the 2-part foot-tall super booster figs.

I REALLY want them to get the major kaiju licenses now because it would be great to do a Godzilla Monster Island battle with Gojirra, Fin Fang Foom, Rodan, Gamera, King Kong etc etc etc.

I'm curious how much these will cost. I have to imagine it's going to be more than the Giant-Size X-Men boosters.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 12/8/2011 2:12:27 PM
They were to lazy to make a new sculpt for Ronan and Quasar?

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 12/7/2011 10:33:52 PM
you do have to put the super booster pieces together, galactus is 14in tall. and thank you for the new silver surfer and dr. doom.

If the Super Booster characters don't need to be put together then will Galactus be comparatively short?

He was the first Supernova (Nova Omaga) who went mad carrying the Nova Force. I love them all and gonna get everything! Maybe they'll even come out with a colossal of EGO. Love the new Drax (about time) gonna play him with my Guardians of the Galaxy, but would like to see an all new Darkhawk. Can't wait!!!

What will be the next DC Heroclix set and when will it come out? I am super anxious.

Posted by: DCFan2005 on 12/6/2011 4:27:43 AM
Dormammu is a colossal and no none of the super booster figures will have to be assembled. They all weigh the same, so there will be no cherry picking. 5 of the 6 colossals have already been confirmed. They are:
G001: Galactus
G002: Mole Monster
G003: Master Mold
G005: Uatu, the Watcher
G006: Dormammu
Galactus and Master Mold will be on 6 x 3 bases. Dormammu and Mole Monster will be on 2 x 2 bases. I'm not sure about Uatu though. I think he will be on a 2 x 2 base.

@White Phoenix of the Crown - Thanos will be a colossal prize in the Infinity Gauntlet OP kit for the month of August. Apparently he will be ridiculously powerful, according to sources.

Posted by: Ryan on 12/5/2011 9:48:32 PM
I know there is a variant of Silver Surfer which is done as his personna of the Keeper, Protector of the Universe in the Guardians of the Galaxy future. It has a red cloak and he has on Quasar's Quantum Bands. This was shown at a trade show.

I don't know if he'll be an LE or part of the regular set.

I do like that the BbtB is going back to being a BBTB piece. Randomly putting it in the boosters made it where you did not have to purchase a brick, you could just buy a pack and have a chance of pulling it.

Posted by: lordoracle on 12/5/2011 8:26:59 PM

I REALLY hope that Praxagora is in this set because Kl'rt is being made for the 3rd time here and he doesn't have enough themed teammates.

Just hoping Master Mold is not a stupid Convention Exclusive. This is a bad idea the Heroclix should do away with as not all of the players have the ability to attend Conventions. It just leads to conventioners grabbing the figuares and then reselling them a a great profit(often twice the cost) on th esecondary market. It would much better serve the Heroclix community to either do away wuth the Con-exclusives or Make them available to the public 6 months to a year after the original release. They could still keep the collectability of them by maybe a different paint job or mark that indicates a con-exclusive.

The sculpt looks awesome! I was expecting something different but I like it! Even if I won't get to play it, just the sheer sculpt makes it a must have! This is why I'm in love with Heroclix... They keep figures as close to scale as possible. And it's like you get a mini-action figure (for imaginative play- great w/ the kids), a mini-statue (great for display), and it's a game! A 3 in 1 deal! But who am I talking to? Ya'll know that ;-)-
