This week's Awesome Clix is an oldie but goodie: Taskmaster from the Marvel Xplosion HeroClix set. It's one of the oldest Clix figures out there, but even by today's standard he's a force to be reckoned with. For 39 points he can potentially do 6 points of damage on his first attack -- why aren't you using him in your games?
Awesome Clix is a series that discusses Golden Age characters should be used in today's Modern age games.
For 39 points you get an incredibly potent secondary attacker. The beauty of this figure really lies with that first click of life -- an 11 attack value with Blades/Claws/Fangs! Think about that... Taskmaster can potentially deal 6 points of damage for just 39 points! Even if he gets bumped to his second click, he's still got that BCF (a 9 AV is still good for 39 points). Note that he also has a range of 6 but you're better off focusing on getting in a good BCF attack.
Stealth and Energy Shield/Deflection help round out this character, which is very important since these two powers will keep Taskmaster alive until he can get into position. You certainly don't want to push him off that first click, so take your primary tentpole and Carry Taskmaster... because once you're adjacent to an opponent, he or she will have a hard decision to make -- attack your tentpole or attack the 39 point character that can potentially do 6 damage?

WILDCARD!
What I really like about this character is that he's a Wild Card. This is extremely important for a cheap figure like this. Need more Defense? Put him on a team. Need higher Attack? Put him on a team. Want to be a real jerk? Let him copy .
FEATS
Here's some feats you can toss on Taskmaster to spice things up: Alias, Blood Oath (this is a particularly nasty card to use), Endurance, Life Model Decoy, Sneak, and Nanobots
At 39 points, the rookie version is where he shines the best... but the EXP and VET versions aren't bad either...
