The rest of Dr. Strange's dial becomes an interesting mix of powers. Although his defense drops to [15] for the rest of the dial, right in the middle we get a powerful mix of Willpower and Penetrating/Psychic Blast. Seriously now, having a range of [8] with Psychic Blast and damage of [2] makes Dr. Strange quite a threat. And if that wasn't enough, he's got Probability Control for those two clicks too! Yowza!
Rounding out the end of the dial, Dr. Strange still has staying power thanks to true Energy Shield/Deflection, but what's this? 2 clicks of Incapacitate and Support? That keeps Dr. Strange still potent for offense or as a utility. Because of that Incapacitate, the Ambidextrous feat would be a great option in Golden Age games.
There are some downsides to Dr. Strange, most noteably the lack of damage reduction, so it's critical that you take advantage of the Defenders Team Ability and keep his defense up. Combined with 4 clicks of Energy Shield/Deflection, even borrowing just a 16 defense could keep him alive for a long time. For Golden Age games, try the Life Model Decoy feat.
The only real downside I see here is the 2 clicks of Force Blast, a power that is almost never used. But in Golden Age games the Disassemble feat would be perfect here, especially since Dr. Strange has 2 clicks of Energy Explosion too!
News Flash!!! This Dr. Strange, along with the Drax, will both be available at the HeroClix Online store this Thursday! That's right, Dr. Strange and Drax will be available at HeroClix Online before it's available in physical form!
