Gears of War - Marcus Fenix
I'll admit it, I freakin love Gears of War. Marcus Fenix is the main character in this fantastic Xbox 360 game, and there's a reason for it. He's a badass in all levels and will probably be featured in future games.
Gears 2 is especially satisfying thanks to Horde mode -- you have to fight 50 waves of bad guys. Give it a shot, because it's hella awesome.
I made Marcus a bit powerful, but he's well worth it. The Blades/Claws/Fangs is an absolute must since his standard Lancer rifle comes with a chainsaw. That's right, an assault rifle with a chainsaw. 'Nuff said!
