So What's bad about Blade Runner?

•Character development. Yes, the acting is very good but that doesn't mean we actually care about the characters these talented actors are portraying. Some of the Replicants appear so briefly that we're  barely able to form an impression of them before they're retired (killed). So it is hard to care about their demise since we barely know them.

•Narration. I found Deckard’s narration to be rather grating at times. What was bothersome to me was the lack of any emotion/voice inflection at all. The narration was so monotone and dull, it sounded like Deckard was reading off of a cue card or boring lecture notes. It made me tired and disinterested. And I "get" that at the beginning Deckard is not interested in the job and is disillusioned with life... and as the story goes on we see a detective unraveling an exciting case, recover his humanity/self though falling in love. Shouldn’t that transition reflected in his narration too? Even at the end of the movie he sounds bored, depressed, and disinterested.

•Pacing. The movie really drags at some points. There are some scenes that seem completely pointless and are just excessively “talky”. I don’t want 90 minutes of explosion but I don’t want pointless/meaningless conversations and detective work either.  

In Closing...
Blade Runner is a really great movie, but it falls short of being truly amazing. At the heart of the film is the Replicants attempt to find their creator and prolong their lives. This struggle raises such questions as what is the meaning of existence? Where did we come from and where are we going? Can the creation ever truly triumph over the creator?

Its questions like these that make the film a powerful philosophical work. However, it's undeniable flaws keep it from becoming the masterpiece it should be.
