07-12-2012: The Justice League HeroClix set previews continues, with a mystical Justice Memebr herself, MADAME XANDU! It's a pretty simple dial, with Perplex, Outwit, and Probability Control. Looks like she'll be a great candidate for Nanobots or maybe some Automatic Regeneration!

Lovin' the sculpts for the new Firestorms & the Merge mechanic. Been reading that title, and it's fairly compelling, IMO.

Posted by: MEsch on 8/9/2012 9:31:02 AM
Kind of disappointed with this Green Arrow. Hawkeye from Chaos War is much better for only 3 pts. more with a heck of a lot more options than poor Ollie. Well at least Green Arrow has a TV series so I guess that sort of makes them even (or maybe not since Hawkeye was in the biggest super hero movie of this summer). ;-)

Posted by: phep on 8/6/2012 11:41:44 PM
According to the Heroclix website, it's actually the other way around, with the 10th Anniversary coming out on th 15th and Justice League hitting on the 29th (it actually says 31st, but that doesn't really make sense).

Posted by: XStrike on 8/4/2012 11:41:35 PM
10th anniversary aug 29th

Posted by: keyvon on 8/2/2012 12:11:44 PM
DCs 52 aug 15th.

Posted by: keyvon on 8/2/2012 12:10:38 PM
Batman wearing black pants? He hasn't got pants with his 52 costume.

Posted by: Lee on 7/31/2012 5:15:08 PM
@ JDKenada - Thanks. Are the 10th Anniversary sets supposed to come out the same date? Heard rumors.

I have been a Firestorm fan for years so I am more excited about the characters than the pieces. The comic, however, I just could not get into. I ended dropping it around issue 6 or 7.

Posted by: lordoracle on 7/31/2012 9:29:52 AM
@lordoracle -August 15th

Honestly, I like many of the new pieces from New 52, but these Firestorm ones just don't really do a whole lot for me. I'm still content with the ones from Brightest Day and to some degree Justice League.

Not arguing their being made, I'm just not "feeling it" with this trio at all. *shrug*

Posted by: JDKenada on 7/31/2012 3:44:41 AM
The more dials get released, the more excited I get for the 'New 52' set. It's about time!

Posted by: @djrobertlamont on 7/30/2012 8:52:45 PM
@geminimerc,

So far all the previewed pieces have been Rookie or Unique. Please remember, this is the "New 52". All of these characters are in their 1st 5 years of operation so they are ALL rookies.

To anyone who knows, when is this set supposed to come out?

Posted by: lordoracle on 7/28/2012 6:44:55 AM
I just noticed they left Aquaman out of the FF box. That guy just can't get any respect! ;)

Like the new Hawkman but I concur with Blitz2301. He should have at least a couple of clicks of regeneration and B/C/F (maybe on the flurry clicks) to represent the Nth metal healing and his prowess with ancient weapons. But at 95 pts. he isn't too bad.

Posted by: phep on 7/24/2012 8:24:29 PM
Chaos king
Sentry/Void
Avengers Prime.
Thanos
Magneto
Captain America w/Shield Throw (so broken)
Any recent Hulk, D. Strange. Any cosmic fig. Lol i do Realize i am naming off some high pointed figs.

Posted by: Blitz2301 on 7/24/2012 4:38:37 PM
most of the new marvel figs are six to seven clix long, with 2 to 3 clixs of uselessness tacked onto the end. which figs are you talking about?

Posted by: rick leo on 7/24/2012 10:43:49 AM
@rick leo- ok they have some good figs in superman set but have you played with any of Marvels new figs? They are so overpowered.

Posted by: Blitz2301 on 7/23/2012 5:15:03 PM
Why is it when Wizkids makes a character they haven't done in awhile, they want to make it a rookie version. They could have given him some attack powers. I like what they have but they could have beefed him up more. Who knows when we'll se another Hawkman.

Posted by: geminimerc on 7/23/2012 4:18:13 PM
blitz..to se the very model of OP figs, look no further than Superman set. not that i'm complaining about it, but the BEST figs in modern age right now are from that set.

eradicator, cyborg supes, the whole FF set, common 150 point supes, lobo, darkseid, queen of fables.....

Posted by: rick leo on 7/23/2012 2:29:14 PM
Hawkman model is wicked. But wheres the b/c/f to represent his skill as a warrior? Or regen to represent nth metal? He doesnt even have Super strength For his anti gravity. Unbelievable wizkids, once again showing proof the they favor Marvel and their over powered figures. Not impressed at all with this set.

Posted by: Blitz2301 on 7/23/2012 2:21:48 PM
Not too impressed w/ the new Hawkman. BD Hawkgirl would wreck Hawkman's day for 24-pts less, and even the OriginS Hawkman would fare well against this fig. The single biggest advantage DC10 Hawkman has over either of the others is Indomnitable, which fits very well from a comic perspective.

Posted by: Hodak on 7/23/2012 12:49:42 PM
that SP on hawkman isn't "very situational" if you play theme and pick the right map. on the Bizzarro world map, he's quite the killer for a sub 100 point option

Posted by: rick leo on 7/23/2012 11:51:01 AM
@phep: It won't have an effect on pushing damage. Action tokens are applied "as the action resolve" and pushing is applied contemporaneously. Madame Xanadu allows the removal of the token "after actions resolve" which would be after pushing damage was already applied.

Posted by: PassingBy on 7/17/2012 4:12:29 PM
That Batman...gods, why? He looks so toony.

Posted by: bobby on 7/16/2012 7:35:55 PM
Love the figs but I can't get to excited by sneak peeks or spoilers as they seemingly crank out a new set monthly. There's no build up.

Posted by: daryldkins on 7/15/2012 5:04:11 PM
That Fortune Telling special power from Madame Xanadu is great! It like making a successful Ld roll every other turn! I wonder if Fortune Telling would keep figures from taking push damage?

Posted by: phep on 7/12/2012 6:32:55 PM
@Big $: oops! you're right! I have corrected the Madame Xanadu listing!

Posted by: The Le on 7/12/2012 10:21:02 AM
How does she get Brilliant Tactician? I don't see any Outwit anywhere on the dial...?

Posted by: Big $ on 7/12/2012 8:45:45 AM
Man Xanadu with a duo or character with flurry is disgusting. Oh I miss one of my two attacks. Guess I get two more next turn.

Posted by: Sconer on 7/12/2012 8:28:26 AM
This Aquaman isn't useless (well neither was the last 2 but..)!

5 clicks of charge, starting 2 clicks Super Strength followed by 2 clicks of BCF, then end dialing with Close Combat Expert makes him another close combat beatstick.

I wish they would work his telepathic power with marine life in somehow (like a trait that allows him to use mind control on figures with the swim symbol up to 3 targets within 4 squares and not take damage for using the power).

I concur with Taskmatster though it should be called "avenging mera" instead of "defending mera".

Posted by: phep on 7/5/2012 11:57:23 PM
Trait should be called avenging mera cause you obviously didnt do such a hot job defending her. Well with her being KOed and all.

Posted by: Taskmatster on 7/5/2012 9:37:39 AM
Is that the same base thing (grass and pillar) from the flashpoint wonder woman?

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 7/3/2012 1:22:27 PM
I'm in love!

Posted by: Ianator73 on 6/29/2012 4:37:57 AM
I like the new Wonder Woman. She has relatively high DV through half her dial and can deal 3 or more damage consistently in close combat. Her Lasso of Truth power is pretty good for tying up Leap/Climb, Phasing, & HSS figures and can counter outwit, probability control, and perplex to boot!

Posted by: phep on 6/27/2012 7:30:26 PM
Well I guess this Cyborg is better than the previous 2 versions thanks to Indomitable and his trait. Wish he had at least a few more clicks of running shot though.

Posted by: phep on 6/20/2012 6:12:03 PM
Look at all that Prob. YESSSSSSSSS!

Posted by: (no one) on 6/11/2012 4:48:00 PM
Ok, I haven't been reading JLDark but apparently, going by this dial, Enchantress is one B.A.B!

Posted by: geminimerc on 5/31/2012 7:20:16 PM
Well this offically makes the Enchantress the most powerful member of Shadowpact (unless there is a new Blue Devil in this set). She all kinds of scary on clicks 1 - 3.

Posted by: phep on 5/30/2012 10:02:23 PM
Alas the world finest team for this set at 300 pts. is not meant to be. :(

Anyways onwards to the Batman dial. WOW... the Batman from the Dark Knight Rises set (140 pts. version) would eat this one for lunch (eek!). The Dark Knight version from the same set almost on par with this version but think is slightly better with it's no look outwit & starting 18 DV with Invulnerability & Perplex.

Otherwise I think this version of Batman has a good mix of powers and abilities. Very much a finese piece. Tying up pieces by L/C and charging into adjacency then either following up with another attack or re-positioning to another location to use that outwit or perplex on a different target. Solid piece but just not as good as the DKR ones.

Posted by: phep on 5/24/2012 1:38:56 AM
Do you think Supes and Bats in the JLA FF will have dual TAs or just the JLA one?

Posted by: NeoDaxamite64 on 5/23/2012 7:39:02 PM
Top10; No he can't. The powers don't mix together..it says it in the wording.

Damn I'm liking this batman!! With jla ata he'll be pulling a 12 attack and 19d with cr!!
I think dc is the best!!

Posted by: Jack on 5/23/2012 1:35:59 PM
I like this Batman. He has lots of things going for him. Leap climb, Indomitable, 11 attack, stealth.

Question: Can he charge out of hindering terrain without movement penalty b/c of Leap Climb?

Posted by: Top10 on 5/23/2012 11:41:01 AM
John Constantine's New Drinking Buddy(not that Bats ever drinks)! Justice League Teams are going to be sick! Just need a decent Hitter at or under 112 points for a good 300 point team! Cyborg or maybe Aquaman?

Posted by: The Dark Knight on 5/23/2012 10:40:44 AM
The perfect Batman IMO.

Posted by: Slade Wilson on 5/23/2012 10:34:52 AM
So... if Rookie Bats is 119 points will the Veteran be 150 or 200? seems like too much for a guy getting beaten up by owls!

Posted by: Kragnorak on 5/23/2012 10:20:15 AM
Love it! Man I just can't get enough Batman heroclix! I just wish that this Batman had ESD in that SP as well as CR because the Bat is almost as hard to hit from afar as he is up close.

Posted by: rwint1968 on 5/23/2012 10:02:17 AM
This guy is amazing. probably going to be the best support piece out there.

Posted by: Green Scar89 on 5/4/2012 3:48:53 AM
I'm confused the boosters say collect all 10 figures but Constantine is number 19...so is there more? because that would be awesome.

Posted by: BonerEater on 5/3/2012 9:03:15 PM
John Constantine has a pretty bad @$$ special power.

Nerfing opponent's probability control regardless of range or LOF... awesome!!!

Being able to use said special power plus being a wildcard & having the Mystic ability... priceless!!!!

Meet the new DC version of Fantastic Forces Scarlet Witch! Every team will have one! ;-)

Posted by: phep on 5/2/2012 8:41:39 PM
Sweet, I can't wait for my Justice League Dark. I'm happy for Clix to represent the New 52 now.

Posted by: NeoDaxamite64 on 5/2/2012 2:59:44 PM
Resembles Keanu Reeve for J. Constantine... makes me want to watch the movie again... I just wish they could have added more clix to the dial at least 2 more plus at least 2 range. It's all good!

Posted by: Ianator73 on 5/2/2012 1:54:24 PM
I am so glad that DC clix is coming back. Finally a set that I will be extremely interested in getting.

Posted by: Nightwing-fan on 5/2/2012 1:22:13 PM
all my dreams just came true. John Constantine clixed.

Posted by: mmiller42 on 5/2/2012 10:57:02 AM
Seriously... This is all I could have ever asked for in a Constantine Clix and more

Posted by: Shazbot on 5/2/2012 10:54:42 AM
Now that WildStorm characters have also been folded into DC, I am really hoping for some Authority clix as well as the StormWatch guys.

I would like to see Marvel authorize clix based upon Supreme Power as well.

Then we could have fun pitting Batman vs. Nite Owl vs. Midnighter vs. Nighthawk!

Posted by: Kragnorak on 5/2/2012 10:53:28 AM
Superman - Wow!
7 clixs of Imperv. is impressive. Kind of actually like the spacing of Helping People Is What I Do power. Adds for a balanced dial as they are not in one area.Actuall kind of like the HHS, 3 damage and only a 9 attack at the end. Shold allow him to stay around at the end of his dial but not be a tank

Posted by: SIr Christopher on 4/26/2012 11:18:29 AM
love this superman

Posted by: mario on 4/25/2012 8:27:56 PM
Not as powerful as Common Superman in the Superman Set but I'm pleased with the duo team ability, indomitable, and the keywords. Playable for what he's costed for. Wanna bet Batman is 96 pts. so they're a perfect 300 pts. World Finest team? ;-)

Posted by: phep on 4/25/2012 6:55:08 PM
@lordoracle- my mistake, it just says that move actions don't count towards your turn. oops. :P

Posted by: oceanmastr729 on 4/25/2012 6:20:23 PM
I like this Superman! very kool! I can't wait for the rest of the JLA!

Posted by: Tikiphantom on 4/25/2012 3:54:36 PM
Since when does the JLA/Avengers TA allow move and attack? I thought the move action just didn't count against your actions for the turn. It should still be dealing an action token. It's not a free action. If it were, it would say they could move as a free action.

Posted by: lordoracle on 4/25/2012 2:45:48 PM
This is the superman I've been waiting for. The one from the first JL set was cool but has been discontinued. He's only 204 points, so he's more playable than the ones from the Superman set. And he has close combat expert- FINALLY!!! Then throw in the JLA team ability- which allows him to move and attack- and the Superman TA (which allows him to see through hindering terrain for line of fire and movement purposes) and he hammers it home. This set is now on my definite "HAVE TO GET IT" list. Best. Superman. Ever.

Posted by: oceanmastr729 on 4/25/2012 1:42:35 PM
I like this Superman a lot. Wish they would have given him the trait xray vision and left of the superman TA to make him 190 points.

Posted by: Dr. Silly on 4/25/2012 12:19:52 PM
Very much like this superman. One of the nicest I've seen.

Posted by: rwhitl on 4/25/2012 10:44:04 AM
Nice figure and nice dial. One of the best and more "playables" superman to date...

Posted by: Guille on 4/25/2012 10:35:39 AM
@ Karagnarok
I'm confused too. There has been a "Justice league" set already. I believe it was the first DC set in Heroclix v2.0 (i.e. with character cards) How on earth this one is going to be shorthanded I've no idea. Maybe JL2!?! Or perhaps JL52! It was hard enough when Mutant Mayhem was followed by Mutations and Monsters (MM & MuMo). As if us posters don't have life hard enough without having to come up with creative abbreviations! Get it together WK or i'll have to PAC in YA!

Posted by: Mantis Warrior on 4/23/2012 8:29:57 AM
@ white phoenix of the crown

Thanks, I'd forgotten they'd changed her look so much. The new version might make a nice shadowrun miniature.

Posted by: annoyinglizardvoice on 4/14/2012 6:13:05 PM
annoyinglizardvoice,

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 4/13/2012 6:44:01 PM
Impressed.
Who's the woman in black with the lightning and explosions?

Posted by: annoyinglizardvoice on 4/11/2012 2:32:08 PM
I'll take it!

Posted by: Cujo8-1 on 4/10/2012 3:46:48 AM
So happy about this set. I'm pretty new and don't own any Justice League pieces, so the collector/DC lover part of me revels in the chance to get these new, modern character.

Posted by: NeoDaxamite64 on 4/8/2012 2:40:22 PM
There had better be a lot of secondary heros in this set. I want it to be like origins. There needs to be a Captain Atom,Mr. Miracle, Big Barda, Elongated Man, Plastic Man, Ray, Azteck, Dr. Fate, Orion, Tin Hat Flash, Jakeem and Johnny Thunder, and a lot of other jsa figs.
I do not want to see a Wonder Woman, Flash, any Lanterns, Superman, or a Batman.

Posted by: theo on 4/2/2012 8:40:52 PM
Also, the Avengers movie set is 40 pieces and it's single-booster format.

Posted by: lordoracle on 3/26/2012 9:03:06 PM
On the side it's wonder woman, green arrow, aquaman, and deadman

Posted by: Sr. Mxyzptlk on 3/24/2012 6:51:10 AM
@Sir Christopher. As a gaming company, it is in Wizkid's best interest to keep the retirement system as is. The retirement system is a necessary evil in order to remove older broken figures out of the system (many from Web of spiderman) while at the same time keep customers buying new sets to stay in the Modern Age.

The other main reason to keep recent sets active is to make sure players don't feel like they're being cheated -- you don't want a set that you just purchased 6 months ago to become retired. so, retiring the most recent DC sets right now would tick off far too many players, and would cost Wizkids a lot of goodwill.

Posted by: The Le on 3/22/2012 12:35:46 PM
Don't be hating on me. I know that even though Heroclix is based on comic books they do not operate along the storyline in the comicbooks.

Just thinking if DC has reset their entire universe, Which they probibbly will reset in crisis 3 with in 5 years, Should not all previous DC sets be moved to a retired Status? THose realities no longer exist.

Just thoughts.

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 3/22/2012 12:26:19 PM
@FriggenHugeOrc, that is not correct. Street Fighter and Lord of the Rings came like this and there were 25 or so.

Considering how fast the 50th Anniversary set sold out last year, I can't believe that this theme isn't being used for a full set! I think 10 figures only makes sense if this is in addition to a brick format. If not, then it should be 22 figures.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 3/22/2012 8:09:09 AM
Aquaman is sleeping with the fishes!

BTW, I'm confused. Isn't there already a Justice League set with the same name? I never got that one so I'm thinking of ordering the first one soon.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 3/20/2012 9:38:33 PM
Aquaman is swimming in Atlantis i think :P

Posted by: joxeloco on 3/19/2012 7:10:40 PM
I'm thinking that it's Green Arrow on the side box. If you zoom in you can tell the arms are in the classic bow pull position. Looks like it's from this cover:

http://i1.cdnds.net/11/35/250w_new_52_green_arrow.jpg

Posted by: Gambit on 3/19/2012 3:02:21 PM
The single boosters are always a special set of 10

Posted by: FriggenHugeOrc on 3/19/2012 12:38:10 PM
@nate: look at the middle side art of one of the boxes.

so i see wonder woman, aquaman, flash? cyborg?, and it looks like maybe GL on the side box art.

Posted by: night_blade on 3/19/2012 12:36:21 PM
im confused, in this link ( http://comics.cosmicbooknews.com/content/first-look-heroclix-new-52-justice-league-figures-includes-superman) the set size is said to be 22. on this picture here the box says 10.

Posted by: outsider on 3/19/2012 11:43:27 AM
I imagine Aquaman is the picture in lower / center left corner of the box's side.

Posted by: footllose on 3/19/2012 11:12:37 AM
Where is Aquaman? :(
