HeroClix Slade Files Moon Knight StrategyWell I must say, it’s about freaking time! For a while now fans have been clamoring for a version of Moon Knight with a little more oomph. Thankfully, the latest adaptation of Marc Spector available from the Amazing Spider-Man set seems to have all the right stuff to placate even the toughest of critics.

Now that’s more like it. This Moon Knight is a much more capable than his previous counterparts.  In fact; unlike many of today’s character dials, this one even has more clix of life than the previous versions offered, something you don’t see too often. However like the old school dials, his top clix appears to be his best clix, at first glance anyway. His front-loaded Perplex opens up a host of possibilities for this avenging avatar.

Continued below...

HeroClix Moon Knight Dial

Although his combat values seem relatively mediocre considering his point total, fear not; Moon Knight has a trait that helps justify his cost:

FULL MOON: At the beginning of the turn, roll a D6 once for all friendly characters with the Full Moon trait. On a result of 1-3, Moon Knight can use Stealth. On a result of 4-6, modify Moon Knight's combat values by +1 until the next turn.

So at the start of your turn Moon Knight can gain a +1 to all of his combat values making him quite formidable, or at the very least he will gain Stealth to help keep him out of harm’s way. Either way there’s nothing hate about that trait (see what I did there).

Thanks again Eric. I like this Moon Knight, the waxing and waning of his power level is cool, fun and characterful. Shellhead could be amazing if he lands on the right spot thogh i'm reluctant to shell out (see what I did there ;)) for a feat that i may never get to use. My only down side to this figure is that unless he is played very well he is pretty easy to take out; 16D with toughness isn't scaring anybody if you find yourself caught in the open. The effort is required from the controlling player, rather than the opponent, with this fig.

" Either way there’s nothing hate about that trait (see what I did there)."

I always get confused when people write "see what I did there" when there is no obvious pun. I start looking closer and nitpicking - what is the significance of the missing word 'to' between 'nothing' and 'hate'?!
