HeroClix World Hawkeye Clobberin Time Dial - Worst Clix EverToday we kick off a brand new series called The Worst Clix Ever. There are literally thousands of HeroClix figures out there today and a lot of them are really badly designed. Some, however, are worse than others -- look no farther than the rookie Hawkeye from the Marvel HeroClix Set, Clobberin' time!

HeroClix World Hawkeye Clobberin Time Dial - Worst Clix Ever

Yeah, you see the problem right away, right? 2 ranged attacks with [0] damage. What a waste of space! Of course, back then you also didn't need distribute your damage across all targets (so if you had a damage value of [2] you could deal 2 damage to two different targets). Not that it matters -- zero damage is still zero damage.

note: Ranged Combat Expert has always been +2 damage to a single target. This has never changed.

As for his combat values, they're actually not bad at all for an old 29-point rookie. Back then they didn't hand out 11AV and 17D like candy to children who didn't know any better. But still -- this archer should have had at least a [1] in that damage value slot.

Congratulations Hawkeye, you're today's Worst Clix Ever.

I still say that Hawkeye from Mighty Aven...I mean "Chaos War" is overpowered as s**t.

Ya'll must not remember the good ol days like I do. I see 29 points paired with three perplex and/or three enhancements. With a prob controller or two on the side. Options man, options. A sleeper fig seen as no threat until its too late. At 29 points he wasnt even a tenth of your team. Bigger maps, 3 or so clix with no powers, only 2-5 powers a character, no cards, no resources, just skill and tactics. By today's power creep standard of; point and click/alpha strike/your dead cheesyness...yeah worst figure ever. For the good old days, just another tacticle tool in the tool box to make your opponent rage quit when you beat his unique/rare/le team with a rookie peice, your brains, and awesomeness.

@Mantis Warrior: The rookie version does not have the Avengers TA -- only the more expensive EXP version does (43 points).

At least the Avengers TA means you can position him for that devastating attack for free! My vote for worst ever is the Infinity Challenge Hobgoblin. So many points for so very little!!

or ff12 Hawkeye. Aaaah the good old days.

Now I can get behind ul36 Hawkeye. I still use him to this day in some of my golden age games. Such a good piece.

It was a different game back then and as far as I know they still had outwit back then too. That would really ruin this clix. Defiantly a bad design.

Bought 2 boosters of this set one day and pulled 3 of these. yes, 2 rookie Hawkeye in the same booster.

You can still deal all the damage to a single character. that rule has not changed. it's still a seriously bad dial

Yeah, that's a bad dial alright.
