#2 Superman (Superman 001)
Also known as All Star Superman, this Superman packs one hell of a punch. One glance at his starting combat values and powers and it’s no mystery why this Superman is such dreaded competition. His mobility (Hypersonic Speed), speed and damage output combined with Outwit, Indomitable and the Superman team ability, truly make him a force to be reckoned with.
Ordinarily, playing a single character as your full force is risky choice at best, but this man of steel stands a better than average chance of pulling a win even when sheer numbers are against him.
Continued below...
Why he’s number #2
He may be a great option for a one man army, but he is still a one man army. As the game has proven time and time again, being able to out action your opponent can be a tremendous advantage. When the only character on your team is still subject to powers like Outwit, Penetrating/Psychic Blast and Pulse Wave, and Perplex, it can quickly turn to an uphill battle no matter how good the dial is.
"Superman didn't become Superman. Superman was born Superman. When Superman wakes up in the morning, he's Superman. His alter ego is Clark Kent. His outfit with the big red "S", that's the blanket he was wrapped in as a baby when the Kents found him. Those are his clothes. What Kent wears - the glasses, the business suit - that's the costume. That's the costume Superman wears to blend in with us. Clark Kent is how Superman views us. And what are the characteristics of Clark Kent. He's weak... he's unsure of himself... he's a coward. Clark Kent is Superman's critique on the whole human race." -- Bill, Kill Bill Vol 2.
