Karate Kid - Mr. Miyagi
Mr. Miyagi is an inspiration to us all. Played by the late Pat Morita, Mr Miyagi was the ultimate teacher who made wax on / wax off into a common catch phrase used by rednecks everywhere to make fun of Asians. As an asian myself, I have heard this phrase used quite often for those exact reasons. Regardless, Mr. Miyagi was well loved in my family, and who wouldn’t love him? He’s wise, thoughtful, charitable, and can kick Cobra Kai’s ass with his eyes closed.
Mr. Miyagi, I salute you!
