Galactic Guardians Gravity Feed Drax DialGreetings clix players! Welcome back for another look at the Galactic Guarduans Gravity Feed set. Today we're taking a hard look at #204 in the set, the destroyer himself, Drax.

This experienced version of Drax has a low cost of 75 points. Let’s review his dial and see what he has going for him.

(click left image to see full dial!)

Keywords
Drax has a nice mix of keywords for use with both generic and non generic theme teams, including: Brute, Guardians of the Galaxy, Infinity Watch, and Warrior. With his low cost he is a fine addition to any of these theme choices.

Combat values
HeroClix Online Dr Strange DraxFor his points Drax has a pretty solid dial. His attack values stand out the most compared to his other attributes. Drax has 6 clix of life and a range value of 5, not bad. The only thing I found a little lacking is that his damage values drop to 1 on his last couple of clix. However, he does have powers on those slots to make up for low damage values, particularly Exploit Weakness and Blades/Claws/Fangs.

Traits
Drax has a very situational trait called; “Created only for this purpose.” This modifies Drax attack values by +2 when attacking a character named Thanos. It’s a very appropriate trait, however unless you are sitting across from a player who has Thanos on his team it won't be of any use to you.

Want Drax now? Head over to HeroClix Online to get him!

@ Dr. Silly,

I didn't click on the image so I didn't realize you could view the external portion of the dial. My mistake. However since this is the gravity feed version there still hope that the main set version might have the Defenders TA.

@ Phep

Dont see any TA on his dial, why would you hope for it? As for the dial. I like it.

Finally! Drax is in the house. The Guardians of the Galaxy (new version of the team) needed a close combat beatstick and this is what the doctored ordered. Hopefully he'll have the Defenders TA as well to help with the average DV.

I approve of the Blades/Exploit Weakness combo for Drax. I would like to see that comboed with Flurry as well on a couple of clicks for perhaps the Veteran version.

Thanos will still destroy Drax though which stinks. I don't think his defensive stats and abilities are good enough. What does he have that can counter a ranged attacker that is firing off 4+ clicks of damage with 11+ to Attack?

I like him, for his points he will be a good tie up figure that can dish it out.
