Top 5 Modern Age HeroClix Hulk FiguresWelcome back to another top 5 article featuring the top 5 Hulks in Heroclix. For quite some time players had to deal with Hulks that were anything but incredible, however thanks to a plethora of sets that included Hulk characters, there are now a variety of Hulks to smash with.

Disclaimer: Now, be advised, the qualification for this list is that the character can fit on a standard 300 point team (Sorry no Worldbreaker) and that they are legal in modern age games.

So let’s take a look at the top 5 Hulks:

#5 Marvel 10th 002 Hulk
Talk about a bargain. At just 87points this Hulk has a lot to offer, including an activation clix that is actually useful, no really. This version starts out as Bruce Banner hiding out and using his keen intellect to help takedown evil-doers. Yet, a single clix later, this scientist on the run goes from mild mannered to rage monster with all the appropriate powers for a Hulk. This version also represents the Hulk from his first issue sporting his classic gray look, with clix 4 and 5 representing him at his angriest. Late dial Regeneration affords him the opportunity to make a comeback and possibly land on those best clix of his all over again. For 87 points it’s hard to go wrong here.

Continued below...

Marvel 10th Anniversary Hulk Dial

Why he’s #5
As good as he is for his points; he’s still a diet or light version of the Hulk. That activation clix is a strength as well as a weakness, an opposing character charging in with a heavy object for six damage will take him right past his best clix and leaving him open for a second attack to put him down.

Your Comments:
Your #4 Hulk (She Hulk) is the anchor of the Lady Liberator team. Her up-front Perplex helps her friends while keeping her soft(ish) defense alive. Good choice!

What about the AVM FF set Hulk? The Incredible Avenger.

At 150 points he an awesome figure to play and since he is not a giant, one can use Telekinesis to get him into the fight faster.

He also makes a great herald for Galactus…

@ Grim, Very true but I felt the other choices on the list outshine those particular versions. Had the 250 point version not been a giant, he may have squeezed in to one of the top 5 spots. Good observation though.

@Nick Wilfong Dont forget that the 10th anoversary hulk can promote into worldbreaker.

@ Slade, while true for him 350 point dial he does have a 250 and 150 starting line as well.

Interesting. With that opening click of 16 defense and easily outwitable toughness, I've never seriously looked at 001 Hulk. I'll need to take a new look now that I see the special ability.

Love Red Hulk, btw. Played an unconventional Avenegers themed team of IH Red Hulk, SI Spiderman and SI Iron Fist.

I like that you included pieces from the gravity feed and the Avengers Movie set, not restricting the pool except for point cost. On that note, one of my friends favorite Hulk related pieces is the gravity feed General Ross to Red Hulk combination. GF Ross's Airstrike special ability on his 2nd click is nasty.

This list is kinda meh. Can I ask why world breaker did not make your list? Was it cause he was not named hulk?
