The reason Ben will tank is b/c they are rushing to get the heroes together to make JLA. In a small cameo role in the sups movie fine but it takes away from Cavill and his development of the character.

I think he's going to surprise everyone and knock this out of the park. And to anyone who isn't going to see this movie because he's Batman all I have to say is "you're an idiot". And why would you compare him to Christian Bale? I didn't compare Keaton to Clooney or Kilmer or Nicholson to Ledger cause each actor puts his own spin on their roles. Bale is the better and more accomplished actor but how does he have fans anyways? Remeber him flipping out on the set of Terminator? Terrible. Just terrible.

Ok..first Affleck didn't have a whole lot to work with in the mentioned films above. He has reinvented himself in the last 5-7 years as a quality actor and director. Did anybody watch him in The Town and Argo? Afflect has a goods to deliver. It will be different. No one should expect another Christain Bale. This will be a different movie with a different take on the Batman. I do think though that instead of putting him in a World's Finiest movie, that should just make a separate Batman movie and a separate Superman movie. I am excited.

I didin't complain when they casted Keaton as Batman. I didn't complain when they casted Ledger as Joker. But i am abso-effin-lutely complaining they casted Affleck as Batman. It's never, EVEEER gonna work. I did complain when they casted Daniel Craig as James Bond tho, but I never even heard of him then. But Affleck... I know Affleck.

I have never been a fan of Ben Affleck one reason being Daredevil. I choose to give him a chance and go into it with an Open mind. I thought Micheal Keaton was going to suck as Batman but he ended up doing a great Job. Also, Daredevils being a suck fest does not all rest on Ben Afflecks shoulders. It was a failure across the board.

I hated Daniel Craig as Bond, Casino Royal was so Boring, but by the time he got to Skyfall he made the role of Bond his. Keaton was a Great Batman So give Affleck a chance he may surprise you, Ledger did. After all the reason Daredevil wasn't good was because the writers and producers didn't show respect for the character or medium. When the respect isn't there you get movies like Daredevil, Batman and Robin, and worst of all Catwoman.

I think it's great. It would seem that a ton of people follow his career closely...which means people don't dislike him as much as they tell others. When someone is bad, people don't watch.

Yeah, I'm like a lot of the people here. My initial reaction was shocked and disappointed, but after thinking about it, I think that he might be able to pull it off. And everybody wants to point out his bad movies, but they forget about his most recent movie, Argo, that was critically acclaimed and good. I'm just saying, let's reserve some judgement until the movie actually comes out.

On the other hand, I remember when I learned that Nicholas Cage was casted as the Ghost Rider and I was thoroughly disappointed before it came out. But I think that's different because Cage just didn't look the part like I envisioned Johnny Blaze to be, (a younger looking and more athletic build).

Ok on point number 4.....

Ken Urban in Judge Dredd......simply equals awesome and the perfect chin for the part.

And I will say it Daredevil was good. You have to see the Directors Cut...so much better. If anything Bullseye made that movie suck out loud.

To be fair to Affleck, you cannot lay the blame solely on him for his bad movies. Some blame has to be placed on the writers and the director. Affleck can be criticized for his choice of projects to act in though.

If sequels don't normally do as well as the original and people are boycotting going to the movie then they are already losing money. It's imperative they put the best actors into the rolls because it will only take a few more duds like Green Lantern and you won't see JLA movies and the genre will die out.

I liked Daredevil, Affleck himself said in an interview in his defense that Daredevil was directed in a time when companies weren't investing $$ in those types of movies...Daredevil could have been better but not bad for the time. I think he could do bruce wayne, batman may be a challenge for him.

Ben Affleck has made a lot of good roles. I like Daredevil, but i agrre that the film could have been better, but that is not a reason to think that he is not good for being Batman. You're saying this now, but I'll bet that you will be happy next year with the new Batman.

People complained that Mr. Mom was going to be Barman when they announced Keaton in the role of Barman. Not everyone was thrilled with the announcement of Bale as Barman, nor did they like Ledger as The Joker, mainly because of Brokeback Mountain. They complained Hugh Jackman was too tall to be Wolverine.

Daredevil was a bad movie because Dardevil was a bad movie, not because of Affelck. The story was horrible and implausible for the Dardevil origin story. They didn't take their time to tell one story so much as they tried to cram too much storytelling into one movie.

I'm not saying that I love Ben Affleck as an actor, but he has had some good roles as much as bad. I think he will do a fine job. Will he be the best? We'll see.

Daredevil wasn't that bad, by no means a Casablanca level masterpiece, but being a comic fan and a movie snob don't mix well. We kinda have to just accept that adaptations are generally not as good as the comic. Besides he alone can't be bad enough to ruin a movie, if it sucks it'll suck for a couple reasons.

@ Lance;; Agreed lets give him a chance first. back in '89 I didn't think Keaton would be a good for for Batman seeing how the last movie I saw him in was Beetlejuice (thought he would be better for Joker at the time)and most saw him as Mr. Mom (which I hadn't seen) but he ended up being better than everyone else before and since (and yes that includes Bale who makes Adam West look good by comparison)
