Before we take a look a the Mandarin's rings, let's take a look at his dial.

His standard powers include Running Shot, Charge, Phasing/Teleport, #Toughness, Outwit, Combat Reflexes, and Probability Control.

Heroclix Mandarin Dial

From Marvel.com:
Discovered by the Mandarin in China’s “Valley of Spirits,” the Ten Rings of Power are actually the product of the dragon-like race Axonn-Karr (or Makluans) from the planet Maklu-IV. The Axonn-Karr utilized them mainly as the power source for their interstellar craft’s engines. The rings’ functions currently cannot be explained by modern Earth science.

The Mandarin learned how to utilize the rings for own personal use and make them respond to his personal commands. Over the years, the Mandarin’s mind has actually come to inhabit the rings so that now no one else can make use of them. The Mandarin can also now control the rings over large distances.

@Trebor: Resources are not "ridiculously overpowered." They can be defeated by a competent opponent with a good, balanced team. And by the way, I use things like that and me and my opponents still manage to have fun. Resources don't "ruin the game" like everyone seems to think.

@ste, I understand what you're saying about fighting fire with fire, but it just seems like almost everyone but me uses these things to overly assist them. It just doesn't seem FUN to me, in my little humble opinion. I use a few feats once in a while but that's all. Skill and planning is the way to go. And GOOD dice rolls help too. Lol.

@ Trebor, yes although how much of a crutch the power plant & rings are going to be, will mean you'll just be fighting fire with fire. you may just as well use your belt/book/gauntlet to be honest.
as much as i like resources & relics, i know they have their place.
relics = home games & non-to-competitive store play, while Resources = tourney play.
these rings are going to be all the tourney rage until people complete the Pheonix force resource dial.
then i reckon you'll see a lot of clix players saying "Cap was right!" lol

Wow once someone gets all 10 Rings you could load up a team and make some really nasty combos. I'm looking forward more to the rings then I am the set.

So with the Disintegration Ring... Does that mean that you could 'destroy' those crutches known as the Utility Belt and the Infinity Gauntlet and actually make your opponent have to use skill and think, therefore play the game using strategy for once? Just as the game was originally intended. Because anyone who needs things like that just don't know how to really play the game and have FUN.

These could be a lot of fun or very annoying. Will have to see. I wonder if pulling them will be easy or difficult and if they will have different rarities.

Those rings make alot of characters a whole lot more dangerous and will be great for some really fun battles using thugs and such from golden age.
