Over on the official Wizkids Facebook page, fan Justin L. posted an interesting new picture. It's claimed to be proof of a brand new X-MEN HeroClix set (to be announced soon).

We cannot confirm the validity of this picture or supposed set, so we're going to put this into the Unconfirmed Rumor category... for now...

X-Men Set?

(edit: There is mention of a STREET FIGHTER HeroClix set recently announced. More news coming soon as we find out more! Assume it's all rumors until we get definitive word!)

Edit: John T. just uploaded this on the WK Facebook site. It's all looking more and more legit!

Just awesome!! If only WK would get on and tell us officially so we can start saving. One of 8 in the big boosters may deter case buying, or make those 8 harder to get. Still really cool

Well it looks good. No word from heroclix, no surprised as there PR dept is lacking until official release. But the x-men box based on dimensions in pic would indicate the sentinels are not collosal. Hopefully Giant figures finally. Maybe different marks get better white powers who knows.

oh and to add to the info

this stuff is/was at the Alliance Open House Dinner

bricks will be 9 boosters (8- 5figure boosters, and 1-super booster with 1of8 figures like Apoc there)
brick figure will be in store and is apparently Jamie Madrox (multiple man)

I hate to be the naysayer here, but it looks fake. And this is from someone who REALLY REALLY wants the next set to be X-Themed... So I hope I'm wrong.

But this doesn't look genuine enough to me.

I'm open to the idea -- there are many remakes long overdue, along with first-timers -- though I'm immediately wondering about the secondary themes as an X-Men/mutants theme will repel several of the people I know. Also, I'm not looking for more colossal Sentinels. I already have a couple and I never seem to bother using them. I'd much prefer new ones made as single-base generics; we've seen how much power can be packed into the 12-click configuration, and I'm not at all averse to relatively high-point, generic Commons.

That sure looks like an X-Men set to me and maybe even a starter set as well. I say it's about dang time to may be this time they will get some of the other characters done that they have been danceing around and just maybe they get afew of them done right ( I.E. Morph in human form from night of the sentenals )

Some of the fans asked for it since a loooooooooong time.
And I know some of thme who longs for AoA characters, some remakes and updates (Cyclops with Leadership !!), new characters (Darwin and Vulcan to name only two).
I hope for them it's not only an "Unconfirmed Rumor" (I'm a DC fan, i only play a few Marvel figs)
