I'm just glad that the whole point of the crossover was to integrate X-books into the larger continuity. In recent years, Cyclops has just been a racist as far as I'm concerned. He was always busy fighting a race war and not actually super-heroing (from rescuing cats from trees to protecting the planet). Now we're seeing interesting Avengers teams with mutants on them, and while their characterization isn't perfect it's a step in the right direction...

I would've had them make the Avengers take down the X-men, and then when SHIELD shows up to round them all up have them go too far and the Avengers intervene, making it clear that they're the big dogs and the X-men go back to being fringe society, feared and distrusted heroes, which is where they shine. The X-men per their original concept never should be able to go toe to toe with "Earth's Mightiest Heroes". Keep the tension, keep the animosity, why not? On a side note I'd kill Wolverine with Cyclops, but that's because Wolverine is mad annoying and not really because it'd help tell the story.

meh. it was all a big letdown. they should have just skipped to the AvX: Consequences comic, which has been pretty solid thusfar

new ideas are like kryptonite to marvel. add wolverine lather rinse repeat.marvel fans have proven they dodn't want true heroes like captain marvel, quasar, noh-varr and my friends new fav Gravity. they have the potential for something great but they're to afraid to try something other than blah blah xmen.the writers give us the same garbage but its our fault as fans because we still by the product hoping for a turn out we know will never happen.like stated earlier when you have a scumbag like wolverine idolized over there greatest hero captain marvel well this is what u get.

Sorry for using "of course" 3 times in 1 sentence in the previous post. I will of course be varying my vocabulary in future. Assuming I post again of course!

The challenge of course lies in how else to end the story arc. The 'greater threat' device is of course like pressing the reset button and suddenly everything is back to normal and we're all friends. They could of course have opted for:
a) During a scuffle Beast is killed. The mourning of both teams presses the reset button
PLUS: surprise and shock!
MINUS: I like Beast :(
b) It turns out the Puppet Master had found a huge lump of radioactive clay and was mind controlling (insert team here).
PLUS: We all like to see Puppet Master beaten up by 30+ heroes!
MINUS: Even more trite!
c) S.H.I.E.L.D. Turns up and threatens the whole lot of them with a good nuking if they don't simmer down.
PLUS: The animosity between the teams can continue to simmer in their own titles. Leaves it open for AvX 2.
MINUS: Not really a dramatic conclusion. Leaves it open for AvX 2!
d) Skrulls did it.
PLUS: ?????
MINUS: Not again!!!!!
So how would you other clixworlders have ended it?
