Actually, damage taken is unavoidable. Damage values are modified by other powers to damage dealt. Damage dealt is reduced by damage reducers to damage taken. If a figure takes damage, it can't be reduced or avoided. And since Acid Reflux isn't an attack, just like Poison, it can't be evaded with Senses. Taking damage is clicking the dial.

Actually, Galith, takes one damage implies just that: one damage. It's been established in clix for sometime that if the damage type is not clarified by type (penetrating, pushing, unavoidable) it's basic damage. This means that the damage possibly dealt by the character can be evaded or reduced. Therefore, if he intended any other type of damage, he would have to clarify. Personally, for what it's based on, I'd make it penetrating damage or remove the die roll. As of right now, it's a hard ten points to use if the opposition send in anyone with toughness to deal with the character.

Use of the term "takes one damage" implies that the damage is not evadeable, reduceable, etc. If this is intentional that's fine otherwise you should use "is dealt one damage".
