HeroClix Dial the Quintessential Ash WilliamsAsh Williams is the man. No, really. He's got a chainsaw in one hand and boomstick in another. There's a reason he was voted the 24th Greatest  Movie Character of all time (and #1 Greatest Horror Movie Character of all time) by Empire Magazine.

Of course, in HeroClix form, he looks tame at first glance with just as smidgen of colors -- Running Shot, Charge, Toughness, Probability Control, and Perplex. But look deeper and you have the entire Evil Dead series in one great dial.

Dial by Eric Schaen (continued below...)

HeroClix Dial the Quintessential Ash Williams

If I could pick one power that I like the most in this dial, it would be the Klattu Verata Nik (you can google it if you don't know it). While Pulse Wave is a nice power to have, it's always nice to have a stop click. Of course, the Boomstick power comes in a close second in my book.

What do you think?

Your Comments:
Are there any good Ash figures out there? I have one that's an EARLY Reaper sculpt; I'm talking close to 20mm from Sandra Garrity.

I guess WizKids doesn't know what to do with the license for one guy, but if they had packs with a bunch of deadites in them it would be great for teams to fight generics.

Quintessential Talion from shadow of Mordor! Wraith strike would be an excellent white power :) so much to choose from! Maybe once per game if he would be k.o'd, the wraith can bring him back to a certain click # ! Fun game, fun figure :)

@Kragnorak - He really should have flurry oppose to blades claws. Well at least not until he's lost his hand. You could also give him 1 or 2 clicks of super strenght since he does get that weird robo hand but again for no more then two clicks.

@Eric - Well done BUT now he needs someone to fight... hint hint :)

Sorry, that's not the Ash I know and love. He's not dodgy, he's tough so I'd never give him Super Senses. He goes in and out of sanity and takes punishment like a champ. To represent that I'd give him Toughness and Regen and a long dial but not a particularly powerful one. Ash would get schooled by a guy like Blade and yet he's a similar amount of points. I don't see him being more than 75.

If you wanted to get really referential you could give Ash a Battle Fury click or two called "Give Me Back My Hand" to show that he is stubborn enough to have fought off possession multiple times.

My wording for Groovy Chainsaw would be different as well. I'd get rid of the Precision Strike because enemies can dodge Ash fairly easily. Instead: "Ash can use Blades/Claws/Fangs. If he does so and causes at least 1 damage to the target he may immediately attack again using Blades/Claws/Fangs." If that is too powerful you could give that a -2 attack modifier, but what better way to represent a chainsaw than having it get stuck inside an opponent's body until they are ripped in half?

and the past keyword as well

Shouldn't he have the future keyword?

Really creative special power on that stop click, well played Eric.
