13. ROBOCOP
This would have to be a smaller set, but it would great to see Robocop and ED-209 in HeroClix form. There's not enough for a large set, but a single Fast Forces pack would be perfect for this movie franchise.

I'd avoid the less-than-stellar reboot though...

15 Sets We Want - Robocop HeroClix

Robocop's powers include Running Shot, Outwit, and Toughness.

How about Darkwing Duck???? He is from the Disney Corporation, who owns Marvel, and is one cartoon to actually be based on Batman. He has loads of villians, and several sidekicks. I believe Darkwing Duck would make grand Heroclix set.

What about TMNT clix, and maybe some GI joe clix too? Both have many characters for larger sets or can be put out like the smaller gravity feed sets. Either way, would like to see those and the transformers sets along with maybe a game of thrones set. As long as Joffrey does not get the leadership ability haha

How was the Tick missing from this list, by the way?! SPOOO... erm.

I would like to see more fighting-game characters make their way into HeroClix. More Street Fighter characters need to be made, but also the Resident Evil characters from Marvel vs Capcom. There have also been clashes between Mortal Kombat and the DC Universe, so we of course need Mortal Kombat characters. These are all characters that would span 20+ years of gaming as opposed to some of the video game sets we've seen.

@Transfotaku,

Just to rebut your point of view, there was recently a team-up between Warner Brothers/DC, Marvel, Lego, and (I forget what video game publishers) to create a Marvel Lego game that spun off of the DC properties. Therefore, anything can happen if rival companies put aside their differences for the sake of awesomeness.

I keep hoping that there will be loopholes that people pay attention to. For example, Masters of the Universe is owned by Mattel as you say, and nobody can make MOTU toys. BUT right now there are no game properties that I know of and WizKids/NECA specifically makes their figs without moving parts so that they will be classified as game pieces rather than toys.

Meanwhile, DC is publishing MOTU comic books since 2012. So if the negotiation went properly, WB/DC could conceivably convince Mattel that it would benefit all parties to allow WizKids to make some clix to raise awareness of the characters.

Just one example. Transformers teamed with the New Avengers in 2006 or so, which is the same year that DC published a Space Ghost comic. Most of the problem is that HeroClix is too niche of a game to attract the attention of companies that are used to big selling numbers in stores like Toys R Us.

Come on people.

A lot of these properties will never be in Clix form. Star Wars is licensed now by Fantasy Flight Games for quite a number of years, and they won't let Wizkids directly compete with their own products.

Power Rangers is owned by Nick, the toys by Bandai. Neither company is easy to deal with for licensing things out, and Bandai is a direct competitor to NECA who owns WK. Likewise, TMNT Clix is not at all likely, Nick and Playmates aren't going to give the license to NECA.

Transformers is NEVER going to happen. Neither is GI Joe. Neither is ROM. All three are completely owned by Hasbro and Hasbro and NECA are enemy companies. Hasbro keeps their properties tight in their own company and won't let competition to fool around with them.
Hasbro also owns Wizards of the Coast, a direct competitor to WK. If Hasbro wanted to do a Transformers/GI Joe/etc miniatures game, they'd have WotC do it. And before you say: But D&D Attack Wing! Hasbro doesn't give a crap about D&D, what happens with D&D, who does D&D, so long as WotC doesn't sell the property off and keeps a certain profit margin for the brand.

Most of the other properties mentioned here also owned by companies that don't want to license out easily, or have licensing contracts already given out.

Mattel, btw, is even less nice than Hasbro is. Masters of the Universe Clix is never going to happen, unless Mattel sells the MotU brand off to someone.

All that of course counts on the fact that neither Hasbro or FFG or any other company I mentioned doesn't buy out NECA or WK from NECA. Hasbro buying NECA (or WK from NECA) is about the only way you'll get just about any of these properties.

I generally collect clix because they are Marvel or DC based so I'm going to be Scrooge and say I don't want to see these sets taking up the clix release schedule. Having said that if a set based on my childhood faves came out I would have to relent and but the lot! He Man or TMNT all the way!

We need a Fire Fly Serenity Set... Fast Forces or a Gravity Set with a Vehicle Booster.

Posted by: Chessman on 12/30/2014 8:57:56 AM
Masters of the Universe!!

Posted by: Frank on 12/29/2014 1:13:03 AM
I'd like to see sets based on Evil Dead, XCOM and Team Fortress 2.

Posted by: Wombatboy on 12/27/2014 1:40:21 PM
I'm all for a Doctor Who set... but Make the TARDIS a resource like the Lanterns. I'm also for Transformers, and then they can actually become vehicles as well.

But the one set that I have been really wanting to see is a Ben 10 set, or actually one per incarnation: Ben 10 original, Ben 10 Alien Force, Ben 10 Ultimate Aliens, Ben 10 Omniverse and even a Ben 10 Monster Alien set. The trick would be to recreate they way each version of the Omnitrix worked, including a randomized choice as well as ones that can be picked and the timing out and re-energizing. But each set already has a minimum of 11 heroes (1 Ben and 10 aliens) plus allies and all the enemies.

this list needs more video games.
Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil, Castlevania just to name a few that would make awesome heroclix sets.

Good choices! He-Man has enough characters for a full set. Thundercats with a Silverhawks subset. Hanna Barberra collection could make a whole set as well. Space Ghost, Frankenstein Jr., the Herculoids, Blue Falcon & Dinomutt, etc..

Seriously? No Firefly/Serenity? RAGE QUIT!

Personally I'd have Transformers and Dr. Who ranked as my top 2. However I find myself at a bit of a confusion over lack of hero's in the Dr. Who set comment. Between U.N.I.T, the companions and even just the episode specific allies I think there would be great balance of characters.

Posted by: Hellboy on 12/24/2014 1:33:00 PM
Naruto, Attack on Titan, Doctor Who, MY LITTLE PONY!!! Just to name a few.

Posted by: Lord Logan on 12/24/2014 11:07:19 AM
My choice would be a Sixties Hanna-Barbera Set...Space Ghost, Mightor, the Herculoids, Birdman, the Galaxy Trio, Jonny Quest...it would be the bee's knees! (Yes, I am aware that I am old).
