The Quintessential Invisible Woman HeroClix Dial
The Quintessential series returns with an old favorite of ours -- Sue Storm! This modern age take on Invisible Woman (red costume) is a little more Unorthodox than what Wizkids has given us in the past, but we're sure you'll like it.

The Quintessential series discusses just one character and presents, what we feel, is the ideal HeroClix dial.

The Quintessential Invisible Woman dial starts off with some basic powers that you would expect:  Flight, Energy Shield/Deflection, and the Team Ability, of course. But once you get a little deeper, you'll see things are a little different with this FF member. Rather than Stealth, we've given her a form of Shape Change and something better than Stealth if she has no action tokens!

Dial by Eric Schaen (continued below)

The Quintessential Invisible Woman

The Quintessential Invisible Woman also has some early Invulnerability with Energy Shield/Deflection that can bring her defense up to 19! Best of all, that special power gives her the ability to share that protection with her nearby allies!

On the offensive side the The Quintessential Invisible Woman's got some Ranged Combat Expert, Telekinesis, and a special form of Quake (as a free action) that can hit multiple characters!

Along with her other special/standard powers, what The Quintessential Invisible Woman gives you is a great figure that works as an attack piece or utility piece, with great defensive abilities too. The Quintessential Invisible Woman is really the whole package.

Make it happen Wizkids!

@ clixking,

As anyone with eyes can see, one of us has used a logic based argument with clear cut examples to support their views (that would be me). The others argument is based on the equivalent of sheer denial and now rude unfounded aqusations (that would be you). Yeah, I think we're done here.

Wade, we aren't done. She is just as, if not more powerful than larfleeze for 89 points less. How do you think that any of those Clix you mentioned are as OP as her? Not even the primes are, and that's saying something. I could go to HCRealms, just like you did, search a point range, and list them on another site. It's easy. Doesn't prove your point at all. None of those pieces are anywhere near as powerful as she is. I don't understand how you can't see that. I'm about to resort to name calling too. Oh and you think you gave me steak? Tubesteak maybe! Are you just some troll who got kicked off the realms for being one and now you come and do it here? I bet you are.

Clicking, you are delusional. I give you perfect examples and you fire back with a respond equivalent of not-uh. I have you steak, you threw back McDonalds, we are done here.

Posted by: Wade on 3/12/2015 11:18:21 AM
Nice try Wade, but none of those are even close to being as OP as she is. Not even close.

You know, I think she may be a bit OP for points but I hate it when people dive into "fanboy dial" claim. Sometimes things can just look perfect when they aren't. Wizkids has done it plenty of times.

You want one, sure. Going off the top of my head without doing much research here are a bunch that are comparable to her dial for about the same or less points:

102 WXM034 Magik
110 IIM201 Iron Man
110 IIM056 Iron Soldier
110 IIM055 Iron Engine
110 IIM054 Iron Slayer
109 FI015 Attuma
107 ASM013B Hannibal King
110 CW023 Ms. Marvel
110 CW024 Iron Man
110 WKD-023 Wonder Girl
112 JLTW037B Freddy Freeman
110 SLOSH033 Stargirl
110 TT015 Aquaman
111 JL52005 Aquaman

I don't see how her dial is any better than these. Your comparison to Larfleeze is way off, as he is more points based on how much more he is capable of and his barrier power is way more powerful than hers. Shutting down the range game, please there are many ways to get around a character gaining ES/D; including just rolling high enough to hit. How else could we deal with KC flash?

My final thought on the topic is this. Unless you know exactly how the point formula works, you cant possibly KNOW if the points are allocated with 100% accuracy. Having seen this designers dials for some time now, I would say he does a fine job of not making his character cost outlandish. Could she cost a little more points? possibly, but she could also come in at 109 for all we know.

Good day sir.

Also I just checked out Sunfire (somehow I never saw him and the custom dials are the main reason I frequent this site) and he's 8 points MORE than Susie is. I think the person who made this might have an affinity for the FF or Invisble Woman. Nothin wrong with that you ought to see some of the dials I've made. But seriously how is that Sunfire 8 points more expensive? He proved my point for me.

Posted by: ClixKing on 2/16/2015 3:22:12 PM
Yes I'm saying she is OP for the points I'm sorry if I came off as rude. Another good example to draw a comparison with is Larfleeze from WoL. He's a character tthat has a Barrier then Attack power similar to hers. He's a 200 point character that can't do half the things she does. No traited Shape Change plus no LOF with no actions tokens, he's not giving people ESD, she can Quake whenever, she has 3 clix of Invulnerabilty and she has less clix of 9 atk. I just feel she does too much for 111 points and I'll be the first to admit I could have went about voicing my opinion in a better way and for that I apologoze. Just, imagine possessing her with Ophidian and running her with Larfleeze. Ouch!

@ClixKing: Might be some misunderstanding here (I am not sure) -- when I read your first post, I thought you were suggesting that The Quintessential Invisible Woman is too expensive for what she does... but I see that I am mistaken. What you're saying is that she's a overpowered for the cost, correct?

Posted by: The Le on 2/15/2015 4:50:39 PM
Hey Wade name me one buddy. Name me on figure in the entirety of the game that grants all friendly characters within 2 squares ESD which basically shuts down your opponents entire ranged game ON TOP of everything else she does. Look at the GF Dr. Strange from GG. He is a 75 pointer who grants ESD to ADJACENT characters. He has no invulnerability, his CV's aren't as good and he certainly doenst have traited Shape Change with a you can't shoot me at all if I have no action tokens or barrier with a free action quake that can target multiple non adjacent characters. Add on the sidestep, TK and enhancement just for fun. And that's only the top click. You can't sit here and tell me with a straight face she should only be worth 36 more points than Dr. Strange. I'm using that character as an example because he grants ESD and that's about it thats where most of his cost comes from. So again I challenge you to name one click that does as much as she does all dial long for around 111 points. Maybe it's because you don't know much about HeroClix. Maybe that's why you have trouble finding humor in a fanboy dial like this.

I'd love to see a version of Susie close to this one. She is arguably one of the more powerful members of the FF.

@ ClixKing, I fail to see the humor in this as I can think of several characters in the 100 to 115 range that are on par with this dial. Sheesh, some people...

Posted by: Wade on 2/8/2015 9:36:26 AM
Franklin Richards should have a trait that goes something like this: If you win map roll and go first and have Franklin Richards as part of your force you win the game.

Posted by: The Mad Bonger on 2/7/2015 1:58:06 PM
111 points for all that? That's funny. Really funny actually.

Posted by: ClixKing on 2/6/2015 11:22:26 AM
I'd love to see a Franklin Richards as an adult heroclix he should be crazy powerful and scare the crap out of all other clix.. lol Since he can warp/create more or less anything he wants he could have some trait outwit ability. Heck all the kids from the FF as adults would be crazy powerful.

Oops can't spell (no pun intended)I meant special power.

Posted by: Prince of Orphans on 2/5/2015 6:44:39 PM
I like the overall concept. and the better than stealth is a great idea. My only issue is the "lines of fire are blocked". I'm not sure exactly what that means. How does it interact with Pulse Wave? I agree if this stops ranged attacks, but to be accurate as character, she should still be vulnerable to Outwit.

Posted by: superfriend on 2/5/2015 2:37:40 PM
While I dont want to make her "broken" but...
I'd like energy shield deflection to be simular to you see me know. If she has no tokens then she can use ES/D.

Posted by: Bliss on 2/5/2015 12:51:42 PM
Yeeeees, baby! Loving the defense and damage spell powers!Nice job on this one, definitely.

Haven't followed FF for the longest time so i never knew they had red costumes (or is it just her?). Regardless I'm glad to see new-ish themes rather than another Clark Kent Superman or Hal Jordan Green Lantern, etc.

Please continue supporting these Quintessential dials with specific time frames/stories. I think it provides an easier time with representing a character while being specific.
