Your Comments:
i just went to my local comic shop and bought it because of the thor

Posted by: bp29 on 11/2/2011 9:17:16 AM
i am suprised the tor is goog. usually the main figure in the set is bad

Posted by: bp29 on 11/2/2011 5:26:25 AM
No, I was saying that the HoT set thor is more powerful thaen fast forces. But that frost Giant idea is cool: Warriors Three, Thor, and Sif vs. Loki, and 4 Frost Giants from GSX. Brutal.

Posted by: Shadius on 8/15/2011 3:27:08 PM
Wait a minute! You are complaining that Thor, The GOD of Thunder, beat the crap out of an entire generic team?!?!?! That is what he is suppose to do! Big Frost Giant monsters were holed by Mjolnir in the movie!!! A few minion zombies are NOT going to take down Thor!!!!

Posted by: FIrst Lensman on 7/13/2011 11:39:52 PM
honestly, this is sorta Crappy. I have the Common Thor, and he beat the CRAP out of An entire Mutant Army I cobbled together. He also has Leadership, Exploit Weakness, and CCE, while this Thor has no Damage Abilities. The Hogun is by far the best piece here, while The Volstagg from the actual Set had Toughness, Invulnerability, and Impervious like this one, but the one from the set had Super Strength (To some a Plus), couldn't be knocked back, and opposing figs -1 from the break away roll. That Bolstagg was Great, while this one had a dial-spin stopper, and charge. not much. The Warrior is Standard (but doesn't have The Perplexer), and the Fandral is okay.

I don't know if this set is a plus or a fail.

someone try to play a team with the figures from the Pack and tell us what happened.

Posted by: Shadius on 7/7/2011 11:23:03 AM
I've been hearing a lot of flack about this set not being up to snuff...

Has Hammer of Thor really disenchanted everyone so much that they can't appreciate this set? Didn't I hear a lot of grumbling two or so years ago about how 'broken at 300' the original Warriors Three were? Don't I remember about how unstoppable the 'common Thor' was when he first came out? This set has a cost effective Thor and Warriors Three. As far as i can tell, the new Warriors Three even play well with the first set. can someone tell me in unbiased/measurable terms why this set isn't worth getting?

And if nothing else i'd have got it for the maps.

Posted by: Logan on 7/6/2011 8:40:14 PM
I feel that this really didn't entice me to buy the set. I love the HoT Warriors Three. This Loki is good, but the HoT Loki is nasty. I am a player not a collector, so I will probably skip this one.

Posted by: Brendan on 7/6/2011 6:34:03 AM
Now that i saw the loki ill be playing him as well

Posted by: joe on 7/5/2011 4:33:18 PM
Im only getting this for the volstagg fom my other worriors three

Posted by: joe on 7/1/2011 10:24:02 AM
@the le, i think you know where to email me, do so and i'll shoot you a screenshot of the trouble screen.

Posted by: lancelot on 6/30/2011 8:39:18 PM
@friendly neighborhood super soldier, I'll give the Thor is a good piece but I just couldn't really see myself running it but for volstagg just a psychic penatrate for 3 leaves him near harmless, but the HATE thing that just messing with the guy for taking it too seriously, words gain new meaning over time many words have done that but I won't list any cuz people might get offended

Posted by: Jeris on 6/30/2011 7:28:49 PM
i am dissapointed. the warriors three do not seem very intimidating. dont get me wrong, for a 300 point team they are rediculous but... all of them just dont strike fear or show me "HEY USE ME USE ME" they just say, "hey, im pretty good for my points.... if i dont get smacked first

Posted by: sparkdemon on 6/30/2011 5:58:23 PM
@lancelot: Weird. Someone else reported a QOTD issue too, but I haven't been able to duplicate it. I'll look into it some more.

Loki, the final figure preview, will be available tomorrow as part of something new I've been working on. Stay tuned.

Posted by: The Le on 6/30/2011 10:46:39 AM
WHERE'S LOKI!?! I NEED ME MY MISCHIEF MAKER!

As a side note, the "Quote of the Day" is problematic...whenever I clicked on my answer (I think it's Howie the Duck), it led to a problem screen. Just so you know.

Posted by: lancelot on 6/30/2011 10:33:29 AM
For 1 more point, I would rather use the original Fandral.

Posted by: Friendly Neighborhood Super Soldier on 6/30/2011 9:22:25 AM
What the smack? No minion powers for the brawler?

Posted by: geminimerc on 6/29/2011 12:30:06 PM
It's a highlight to show that there's no silver ring.

Posted by: Ceasam on 6/29/2011 12:27:21 PM
Just noticed the ring....looks yellow. Is this something with the set. As the only ring designation i know of anymore is silver. Or is it silver just bad coloring? Thanks

Posted by: scourge101 on 6/29/2011 9:26:48 AM
asgardian brawler should have b/c/f on the first three clicks

Posted by: joe on 6/29/2011 5:49:13 AM
The Asgadian Brawler is, for the points and in comparison to the HoT versions, the best Fast Forces figure from this pack!

Damage is a bit low (really liked the starting 3 on the HoT Asgardian Warrior!) but a 5th click of life, good AV, B/C/F on 2 clicks followed by CCE on 2 clicks give the AsBra a good punch!

Too bad AsBra did not start with Leadership; would have offered excellent synergy with AsWa.

Yes, I know, the nicknames I made up for the figures are awesome !! ;)

@ProfessorShananigans-

Are you aware that the term rape does not necessarily imply forced sexual intercourse? It refers to any act of theft by force, and this broader (and earlier) definition is fully in line with Kujonomore's use of the word.

I find it amusing that killing can be referenced freely in almost any setting but people are still able to hold onto their expectation that their personal feelings about the word rape are worthy of silencing others. Rape is not a specific act, using the word rape lightly is not like joking about the holocaust, nor is it an inherently descriptive and disturbing term; its a general term that's most common meaning happens to be rather vile.

You really ought to look at things a little more objectively before you try to censor others in an open forum. There are plenty of general terms that have personal and hurtful connotations to individuals, trying to remove them all from our lexicon (or even our common speech) would be both ridiculous and trying to do so, even on a limited scale, is rather tyrannical.

Posted by: jayson on 6/29/2011 12:57:50 AM
Jeris, I have to disagree with you. The Thor is really good, and I am glad that they made one this cheap. Volstagg's dial is a bit lackluster, but 18 defense with Impervious and 4 damage is pretty good, especially at 100 points. Also, I can understand that "hate" may bother some people, but I believe that it is the lesser of the two evils in this situation.

Posted by: Friendly Neighborhood Super Soldier on 6/28/2011 10:21:44 PM
Where's our Captain America Stuff?

Posted by: Shadius on 6/28/2011 5:18:21 PM
Well I just started playing around 6months ago and I don't have a single HOT piece but that volstaag and Thor look pretty terrible for their points, hogun looks pretty good but if fandral is crap then hogun isn't worth running at all...on a side note tho I really emotionally don't like it when people use the word HATE, it's such a strong word and is very upsetting to hear

Posted by: Jeris on 6/28/2011 2:11:41 PM
Agree withb greyloc on the value for the points. However,Volstagg got "intimately violated" with the pts though.

Posted by: Timstom on 6/28/2011 11:51:02 AM
@Kujonomore Not everyone has the SR like you do. And everyone knows the dials in HOT were mostly undercosted (heavily, pun intended, in some points like SR Volstagg).

Posted by: Borgy on 6/28/2011 10:51:45 AM
@ Kujonomore-
I absolutely HATE when people use the expression "raped" casually. If you've ever met a woman that has had that kind of horrible experience forced upon her, you wouldn't use it in such a stupid context.

Posted by: ProfessorShananigans on 6/28/2011 10:30:44 AM
I must admit, these dials are actually good for the points. they just don't feel like the characters they rep. Easy fix. one opening 11 av for all of them. no other changes. then they will feel like the warriors three.

Posted by: bgreyloc on 6/28/2011 10:15:27 AM
Did you accidentally leave some powers off of Volstagg's dial?? He just seems so much less than his previous version. If this dial is correct he got raped for those three points and I'd never play this fig in lieu of the SR.

Posted by: Kujonomore on 6/28/2011 9:17:39 AM
The rule says the same set and number on unigues so I don't see why you couldn't since they are technically different sets.

Posted by: Highlander34 on 6/28/2011 7:14:32 AM
@evan. They are Unique, but from two different sets, so you could play the HoT Warriors Three with the FF:T Warriors Three. Since all 6 have the WT Keyword, it would be a very nice team.

Posted by: Dairoka on 6/28/2011 5:20:59 AM
WTF!?!?! Where are the dials? These aren't previews. They're sneaks peaks at previews. Sheesh!

Posted by: songwriter on 6/28/2011 5:11:46 AM
It would be fun, but they're all unique...

Posted by: evan on 6/28/2011 2:56:02 AM
these should be fun to run with the HoT worriors three in a 600 point game

Posted by: joe on 6/27/2011 4:53:26 PM
Are we ever going to see the Loki dial?

Posted by: Puuka on 6/27/2011 4:28:56 PM
Did he eat it?

Posted by: Friendly Neighborhood Super Soldier on 6/27/2011 3:49:19 PM
Where is the rest of Volstagg's dial?

Posted by: Friendly Neighborhood Super Soldier on 6/27/2011 3:48:35 PM
I just hope Wizkids continues this trend of re-issuing Super Rare/difficult to track down figures from years past. It helps both new and existing players fill out their collections!

Posted by: spudeus on 6/27/2011 12:42:39 PM
REALLY disappointed with this version of Hogun.

For (4) points more, FF Hogun loses (the highlights):
Indomitable
WARRIORS THREE SP
18-DV (2-clicks)
11-AV (1-click)
1-click of life

Gain:
WATCH EACH OTHER'S BACKS SP

Yet another figure to take up permanent residence in my 'clix case....

Posted by: Hodak on 6/27/2011 11:10:12 AM
@ Hair 10. Completely agree about the generics. They should be in blind boosters only. I really wonder if this tactic will even help sales. The way I see it it will simply drive up secondary market prices for the specific fig. But I can't see anybody buying two of these just for one guy.

Posted by: Hogun the Graham Cracker on 6/27/2011 10:50:51 AM
Hogun's "watch each other's back" power is pretty nice...at least, he can have one last whack at whomever was attacking him to get him to the last click...anyway, so excited for this set. And I do like THIS Thor's dial, well-rounded even if not at all too powerful...but then again, what do you expect from a common figure from a starter set? I mean, really? At least you get to use a cheap Thor...the HOT version, even if it was "common", was pretty difficult to track down (everybody want to keep their thors... :-) ). The reigning LE version was especially difficult, since I do not play in tournaments...So, this is a nice set for a noob like me.

Posted by: ThorGodOfThunder on 6/27/2011 9:12:42 AM
I got a HoT booster today, and I got Thor, Odin, Smokey Cap, Karnilla, and Marvel boy. Talk about lucky.

Posted by: Shadius on 6/26/2011 7:28:08 PM
I believe this loki pleases me... yes, very much indeed.... just to see his dial... only most important knowledge about the peice!!!

Posted by: Sparkdemon on 6/25/2011 12:28:26 PM
I do not know what to feel about this thor.. he has mostly a 4 and a 3 damage, and frontloaded with super strength. and unless im mistaken, energy explosion is not on top of the damage your already dealing, so its TERRIBLE now, but for 150 points, you wouldnt htink his attack would drop below 10. and i think he should have a special power for the first three maybe four clicks of willpower, to keep the points down, just take out the last 2 or 3 clicks

Posted by: Sparkdemon on 6/24/2011 6:49:26 AM
@Kragnorak,

I agree with you... except when it comes to generic characters. Unlike someone like Volstaag (where there is only one character of that name), most people want multiples of any given generic to run together. Packaging them in sets/packages like this is nothing more than a marketing scheme by WK. They know that some people will buy multiple sets to get the generics. It's been happening since at least the Anti-Monitor and it's nothing more than a money grab.

Generics should be left for booster packaging where are the extra commons are actually worth seeing.

Posted by: hair10 on 6/24/2011 5:23:18 AM
yay we finally get a cheap enough Thor for low point games

Posted by: joe on 6/23/2011 4:16:52 PM
@Hair10,

Like I said, I think it's great when they do the same sculpt, different dial reissue of the high-priced eBay clix.

It's a win-win. Some people like me want to collect the characters, so I was sad that I didn't have Volstagg. I don't need ALL versions of Volstagg, but I'll be glad to get one to recreate comic scenarios such as Siege.

But those collectors that paid $60 for the HoT Volstagg can still be happy because they have that ultra-rare version that I don't have.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 6/23/2011 2:44:31 PM
No indomitable or willpower for Thor. Could have given him willpower as a special trait at least

Posted by: Geminimerc on 6/23/2011 1:21:40 PM
Very well rounded , I like it !!!!!

Posted by: Robert Tannehill on 6/23/2011 11:06:25 AM
The Fast Forces (FF) Warriors Three dials will not be shown until next week I'm afraid, but here's a Teaser -- all three of the the new figures have the following keywords: "Asgardian, Warrior, Warriors Three"... so it should play nicely with the original Core-Set figures.

Posted by: The Le on 6/23/2011 9:06:20 AM
@Kragnorak... Except these Warriors will be different from the HoT ones as they'll have different dials.

Posted by: hair10 on 6/23/2011 8:15:36 AM
I already pre-ordered my set, so I'm getting one regardless, but, it's nice to see a solid, straightforward Thor. The 150 cost is good, too, making it easier to field an Avengers "core" team. Cap, Iron Man and Thor for a 400 point game sounds good to me.

Posted by: Dairoka on 6/23/2011 5:58:11 AM
I think they picked a good group. I love the Warriors Three. I also like the fact they had Thor and Loki. In a way it is similar to having the four members of the FF with Dr. Doom. I think the generic Asgardian Warrior is a nice way touch too.

Posted by: aaron on 6/22/2011 6:07:03 AM
Sif would've been great, but I don't mind an additional asgardian warrior. I didn't get enough Hammer of Thor so I'm glad. It's not like the Shadow Demon generic from the Anti-Monitor pack where that was the only way to get the generics, so I think this is a different situation.

I think they are being very smart to release a different dial but the same sculpt of figs like Loki and Volstagg whose ebay rates are ridiculous.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 6/21/2011 8:52:31 AM
I don't care which they preview first, I just want them to make enough to satisfy demand this time. And WK, if you're reading this, stop putting generics in these things. It's not like you had a problem selling the GL ones. You don't need to resort to this marketing crap... it just irritates the consumers. Sif would have been a much better option.

Posted by: hair10 on 6/17/2011 12:24:30 PM
