10-15-2012: The Alliance Open House preview had an interesting slide -- one single mention of the Marvel FEAR ITSELF HeroClix. Here's what we know so far:

•It's a Storyline Event (we assume it's like the Gauntlet or Utility Belt events)
•There's 30+ figures
•Summer 2013.

Here's the actual slide:
Marvel HeroClix Fear Itself

Comic Vine summed up the plot this way: "In a time of fear and uncertainty, the Avengers make a plan to rebuild Asgard, while Sin enacts a mysterious plan to gather powerful godly weapons."

Just got done playing my week one event. And my booster draft was crazy! I got Kurth both Iron fist and asgurdian troll and a Sin! Now I can finally play the campaigns on my own. They need to hurry and release the other stater set tho because its the apparently the only way to get serpent

Posted by: travstayshigh on 7/7/2013 7:22:22 PM
Unfortunately the boosters will only be available in the fear itself event.

Posted by: Pandab0mb on 6/12/2013 2:18:22 PM
Are these figs going to be released in boosters, or just in the events?

Posted by: Fang the Javatar on 6/11/2013 7:13:29 AM
@Graywolf34b - sorry to hear you cannot attend events. As for getting Fear Itself pieces, remember that there are sealed events scheduled for most stores for the next 6 months. If you can wait, the prices should come down as more of the pieces get into the hands of players. If you wait until after the 6 months, they should be much more reasonable.

Posted by: superfriend on 6/10/2013 6:42:07 AM
You know what, you can only get one or two booster at a time and only at sanctioned events.. Epic fail Wizkids Epic fail, I have been dreamin of this set since the story line came out in the comics. When to the store to see when the set will come in and they told be they onely get one brick in every month for the story line, it is first come, and they are not alowd to sell them expet on the planed event day. I work for a living and becuse all of my local stores run there events during week days I can never get the even pices. Ebay prices for the fear itself pices are eipcily High. I love this game but I am thinking of quiting and not giving wizkids any more of my money due to the new "gamplay" mechanics.

Posted by: Graywolf34b on 6/8/2013 2:12:56 PM
So When will these figures be available?

Posted by: Prince of Orphans on 6/7/2013 1:51:46 PM
@vidious - Fear Itself as an event includes the FI boosters as part of the participation organized play. Each monthly event involves buying boosters to play and this is the only way to get the boosters of FI. (Other than buying from players who have done the same).

Posted by: superfriend on 6/3/2013 12:51:05 PM
@techcontroller so do u get the boosters from the event "like a seal game"or will it come out as a set like all the other before it?

Posted by: vidious on 5/31/2013 7:58:09 PM
@Dread, this set hits beginning of June when the Fear Itself event begins. LONG BEFORE Wolverine and the X-men hits (Late July/Early August from what I've seen).

Posted by: TechController on 5/28/2013 12:07:13 AM
When is this set due out, is it before or after the X-men set?

Asking because different sites have different release dates.

Posted by: Dread on 5/25/2013 3:21:57 PM
OUCH! Now I want Kuurth real BAD! lets see Supes shrug that off thanx for pointing that out Pred.

Posted by: The Wanderer on 5/24/2013 10:40:15 AM
So with Mokk being a character are we expecting a new Gray Gargoyle in this set? Or will we be using the old SI one which by the time you get to the revert clix impersonates a Dyson vacum cleaner.

Posted by: Mantis Warrior on 5/20/2013 7:57:25 AM
Im liking all the fear itself models. If i could get them all and an old man logan i would be a happy camper.

Posted by: Pandab0mb on 5/13/2013 12:45:10 PM
@ Benjamin, Lizard & Predator
Thanks for thrashing that one out for me. I sided with the Lizard at first but I think Benjamin has brought me around to Predator's way of thinking so in other words OUCH!!!

Ms Marvel is looking lovely for those first 5 clix but after that looks like she belongs in infinity challenge! (well pehaps Sinister the AVs aren't 4s!) If you don't hit that revert she'll be struggling late game.

Even presuming you're just using the first 5 clix at 30 points a pop she's still good, as the indomitable will get you a lot of use out of them. HSS and enhancement is a lovely combo too!

Posted by: Mantis Warrior on 5/13/2013 9:01:33 AM
@annoyinglizardvoice @predator

Breaking down the two rules says you roll a 1D6 after eack attack during the same action. So, yes, you Flurry and B/C/F for each attack in one Flurry action.

FLURRY: Give this character a close combat action.

BLADES/CLAWS/FANGS: When this character is given a close combat action, you may roll a d6 after making a successful attack.

FLURRY: After the close combat attack resolves, it may make a second close combat attack as a free action.

BLADES/CLAWS/FANGS: ... you may roll a d6 after making a successful attack.

Action ends.

Posted by: Benjamin on 5/13/2013 8:03:56 AM
@annoyinglizardvoice
FLURRY: Give this character a close combat action. After the close combat attack resolves, it may make a second close combat attack as a free action.
BLADES/CLAWS/FANGS: When this character is given a close combat action, you may roll a d6 after making a successful attack. The result replaces this character’s damage value, then that damage value is locked.

The second attack from flurry is still part of one close combat action it is Not a free action after Actions, its after the first Attack(and still part of one CCA), and B/C/F says roll after an attack and never specifies only once.

Posted by: Predator on 5/12/2013 7:14:32 PM
@ predator: The second attack from flurry is a "close combat attack as a free action", not a "close combat action", so blades doesn't trigger on the second blow. It's the type of action that affects whether blades kicks in or not.

Posted by: annoyinglizardvoice on 5/12/2013 1:56:05 AM
@annoyinglizardvoice

With the new PAC B/C/F triggers with a close combat action and you replace your damage after an attack is made so flurry will trigger B/C/F with each attack

Posted by: Predator on 5/11/2013 1:08:25 PM
Nice sculpts, I'm glad they're making common versions of the mighty/worthy in the set so we're not having to track down obscure old miniatures to get any use out of revert.

@ Mantis warrior: Blades works when a character makes an attack action, not an attack, so it only works on the first of the two attacks. Therefore Valkyrie can charge, use blades once then punch normally once, but not use blades twice.
Also I seem to remember that wizkids did say something about invincible and invulnerable being a case of one-or-the-other when they first explained how invincible worked.

Posted by: annoyinglizardvoice on 5/11/2013 11:36:10 AM
Hang on, don't all those Valkyrie powers stack? She can charge in ad B/C/F you twice in a single action!! For 130 points. Yes please! Unless Flurry changed on the new PAC I'm sure it replaces a CC action which charge gives you.

Posted by: Mantis Warrior on 5/10/2013 8:28:02 AM
@Mantis Warrior
It would be broken but as is Invincible does use the term "ignore" instead of "reduce" it can work. But we will have a updated rulebook along with the new PAC so all we can do is wait.

Posted by: Predator on 5/7/2013 9:59:55 AM
@ Predator
Unfortunately you can only choose one power to reduce damage I believe including the new pink one so I'm not certain this would work (despite the 'ignore' wording). If you are right then OUCH!!!

Posted by: Mantis Warrior on 5/6/2013 7:27:05 AM
Imagine this guy (Greithoth) hitting a new fig with Invincible. Now do the math and if you damage is 5 or less you cant hurt him.

Posted by: Predator on 5/5/2013 1:26:54 PM
@predator this is what I originally thought as well and now re reading charge it seems like your right. Im sorry if i sound dumb. even tho ive been collecting heroclix since it first came out. I just dont get to play it. And if i did it was all wrong.

Posted by: Pandab0mb on 4/27/2013 11:24:45 PM
Actually Kuurth CAN pick up an opposing character run thru walls then when your movement is complete you must drop the character he can then use his close combat action to hit the same character, after which actions have been resolved the carried character is delt damage from the "grab and smash" after he has attacked.

Posted by: Predator on 4/27/2013 2:30:25 PM
OK, that sculpt makes me want to plotz in joy. As long as the paintjob matches and the size isn't teensy then Kuurth will be one of my faves.

Really the only thing missing is iridescent paint to make the Worthy "glow".

(I loved the Thunderbolts tie-in where they try to enter his mind.)

Posted by: Kragnorak on 4/27/2013 9:51:35 AM
Ok i understand now. Forgot that you had to charge another model for grab & smash. @M Thank you for clearing things up for me.

Posted by: Pandab0mb on 4/27/2013 12:56:47 AM
No, Grab and Smash. You auto break away. If your adjustment to a foe, but want to attack(charge)another foe hiding behind two walls. You can carry the adjustment one and after the charge attack to the other foe resolved, you deal two damage to carry foe, cause of the two walls you ran through. Like a you using human shield as a battling ram.

Posted by: M on 4/26/2013 10:26:03 PM
Does this mean that kuurth can carry a model charge through walls deal damage (fromgrab and smash) and then use a close combat attack on the carried model? Or did i read this wrong.

Posted by: Pandab0mb on 4/26/2013 7:12:23 PM
Do you think we'll get a cyclops?

Posted by: Cheap on 4/17/2013 8:56:55 AM
The cards are real. They're posted on the WizKids site on the Fear Itself promotional page.

Posted by: Passing By on 4/8/2013 3:35:23 PM
maybe if you read comics you would know...Skadi Hammer, it's from Fear Itself. For the event by that name and nature.

Posted by: Realik on 3/4/2013 6:48:10 PM
Ha I Knew it! Its the Skadi Hammer for the Asguard Arsenal Op kit for Fear Itself and yes it is like the Gauntlet,Belt as far as I've heard.

Posted by: The Wanderer on 3/3/2013 11:23:45 PM
its for fear itself

Posted by: mario on 3/3/2013 7:58:17 AM
That'd be the Skadi hammer from the Blitzkrieg USA scenario pack for Fear Itself.

Posted by: lancelot on 3/1/2013 2:55:48 PM
Le, May I suggest adding / linking a the picture from day 5 of Clixmas as it showed 5 Thing figures from this set?

Posted by: superfriend on 3/1/2013 2:02:35 PM
Looks like Skadi’s Hammer from Fear Itself to me

Posted by: dseanhillman on 3/1/2013 10:54:20 AM
Two things. One, I agree with theo, Colossus with jugs helmet needs to be in this set. Two, I just checked out the format for this set on hcrealms and this set will be either terrible( by which I mean the figs in the one booster we are allowed each moth have a rarity scheme), or this set will be amazing ( by which I mean everyone gets the exact same figs in their booster every month), but we will have to wait and see.

Posted by: L on 1/18/2013 4:20:06 PM
I really hope that this set is not like the utility belt or the gauntlet. Those tounaments are fun dont get me wrong, but they are fun because they do not happen often. If it becomes a regular thing it will not be fun anymore. Also who wants to see Colossus with the Jugs helmet? HE HAS TO BE IN THE SET!!!!

Posted by: theo on 11/26/2012 2:22:53 PM
Yes! Finally they can make another Titania! And a Thor with the twilight sword.

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 11/14/2012 7:58:32 PM
I wonder if they'll do a click of Nul, the fellow that Hulk was too ascairt to fight. Also an excuse to make Prester John perhaps.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 10/16/2012 3:43:15 PM
So...let's just come out and say it! The Worthy as figures. I mean...like "Fear Itself" or not, that's pretty awesome. I want a The Worthy version of Juggernaut, Thing, Hulk, for SHO!!
