Free comic Book Day Thor HeroClix Figure Dial 2012The new Thor Heroclix figure is here, and he's free on Free Comic Book Day (2012)!

Thor is Dual stated at 250 points or 150 points, but I think he's totally worth it a the 250 point level, thanks to 4 extra clicks of Charge, Impervious, and Super Strength, not to mention a very high [5] and [4] damage.

The 150 point level isn't anything to scoff at either, with a Running Shot and Pulse Wave combo! And later you cna use the Running Shot and Energy Explosion combo! And don't forget that THOR has the AVENGERS INITIATIVE Team Ability!

I can't say I understand the purpose of Hypersonic Speed at the end, but what the hey. All in all, he's pretty power with a full dial of damage reduction! And it is very Avengers Themed, which is extra goodness. (and yes, it comes in a box)

Get your free Thor figure at your local comic shop on Free COmic Book Day, May 5th 2012. I believe the Avengers movie comes out the same weekend...?

seriously? when did attack 11 that never drops below a 9 become a bit low???
he has 3x 11, 4x 10 & 3x 9
that on top of move & attack powers and -2 from any damage except penetrating on all clix, and ignoring stealth... quite the beast and when compaired to the similar hulk he's got the edge with range. all for ever so slightly less points

For 250 the speed is nice but the attack value is a bit low especially compared with the similarly pointed Hulk from this set. Hulk has nothing less than a 10 in that slot.

Finally an awsome Thor that can stand toe to toe with Superman (see Avengers Vs JSA Comic)This Thor looks great. Well worth the points. Like the entire dial of run and attack powers

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 4/21/2012 12:37:42 PM
they said he had 9 clicks on home but he has 10!

Posted by: x on 4/21/2012 4:10:27 AM
I was not aware of a Marquee figure for the Avengers Movie set.

Posted by: lordoracle on 4/20/2012 10:37:48 PM
The Marquee figure for Chaos War is the bleached-out Vision from when he was mindwiped by the government back in West Coast Avengers.

Posted by: lordoracle on 4/20/2012 10:35:45 PM
I like the look of the figure. I think the inflated point cost over that of the HoT Thor is due to the Avengers Initiative TA, a full dial of damage reduction clicks (Impervious & Invulnerability) & move and attack powers (Charge,Running Shot, & HSS), coupled with high stat values in the starting & ending clicks.

Give him the Gauntlet he has the capability to be a OMA at 300 pts.

@Kragnorak,

Ok I guess I can complain that he doesnt have a 12 AV or a 10 range like the HOT version. But I dont see really see anything wrong with him. The Avengers Initiative is the new Ultimates TA and I think that along with Impervious to start with could make up for any advantage the HOT Thor would have in a one on one battle. This one just has to close before he can do an attack.

Legionair,
He's the marquee fig for avengers movie, not chaos war

Posted by: baron impossible on 4/20/2012 12:35:18 PM
And he is going to be the exact same figure as the Avengers (Chaos War?)marquee figure.

Posted by: legionair on 4/20/2012 11:37:49 AM
@Nightwing-fan,

I realize how dorky this is, but zero complaints, really? This Thor is a different fellow from the HoT one from the 616 Marvel universe. Therefore the keywords may be different, the team symbol is different, etc.

The main difference is that hypersonic speed. Thor in the movies flies around in a CGI way that Stan Lee and Jack Kirby would have not liked, which is why the comic versions of Thor never get HS.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 4/20/2012 10:04:37 AM
While he costs more then the HOT version. He will be a worty replacement for him on my Avengers theme teams. A full dial of move and attack powers make him very dangerous along with Indomitable. I really like the 2 clixs of hypersonic at the end since he can hit and them get back to a healer.

I guess I finally can retire my HOT version and have zero complaints about it.
