EXPERIENCED VERSION (Click to see All 3 Taskmaster Dials (popup))
The Exp version is just 19 points more, has the additional Frightful Four keyword, some Mastermind, Enhancement, and Leadership. At 58 points, that Mastermind and Leadership won't be as useful since you're probably not going to have many lower point characters on your team, but you still can't go wrong with this version since he still has that 11-attack-value with BCF. This version of Taskmaster would be very good to put on low-point swarm teams.

VETERAN VERSION (Click to see All 3 Taskmaster Dials (popup))
A bit pricey in today's game at 75 points, but look at that BCF attack -- it pops up to 12 now! It even stays at 10 or higher for the first 3 clicks, giving him some good potent attacks. The Mastermind and Leaership is gone, but Perplex and Outwit (and the new keywords) would make him a great candidate for Brilliant Tactician! Still though, with that glass jaw (15 defense starting on the 3rd click), I think the rookie is still the best option.

HeroClix World Awesome Clix: Taskmaster

Congrats Taskmaster (rookie), you're this week's Awesome Clix!

Seriously, why aren't you using this figure in your games? And are there any resources you think would help?

Your Comments:
Love this figure and picked him up on the secondary market for next to nothing last year. I actually like hiding him away in stealth and 'plinking' opponents for 1-2 damage safe in the knowledge that unless he gets Charg-ed or HSS-ed nobody wants to base him!

@ Karagnarok
I would imagine the 'Minions of Doom' is just another way of representing his photographic reflexes power. If an ally can do a TA so can he. M.O.D. is the wildcard TA for 'baddies'. The 'goodies' get Spider-Man Ally even if they never team up with him (especially in older clix).

Sweet article, I may have to track one of these down! I could see using the rookie and vet though the exp feels a little underwhelming. Any chance you could do a future article on the old REV Sgt Rock? Still a threat after all these years.

The picture displays an image of Taskmaster in that costume with the hood up. I think the poor look of the sculpt spoils the finished product.
Still a great piece although i think we sold our rookie but have still retained the vet

Honestly, the main reason I never used this Taskmaster once is because I never read any comics where he wears this costume. What era is it from? I've also never seen him as a Minion of Doom. Was he training people in Latveria or something?

How is 75 points seems expensive for modern age, but for today's game? That's a pretty decent deal, considering that 100-150 points is average for a typical piece.

Theme was not a thing back then. Sure there was the idea, but there were no in game benefits to doing so.

oh, wow... these are one of those figs that you'r like:"I want it so bad!!!"

I would probably prefer using the rookie most as a filler for the reasons mentioned. I then put him on a Defenders or JSA although it would break theme.
