Overview: The U.S. Government secretly worked on a prototype "Super Sentinel" based on the Wild Sentinel program. The new prototype, Codenamed Razor, suffered a malfunction during its trial run. With its electrical system on the fritz, the Razor launched an all-out attack against mutant kind, starting with the Brotherhood of Mutants. Fortunately the X-men arrived to help their mutant brothers fight this dangerous foe. Can your mutants stop the Razor before it destroys you all?
Number of players: 3
Cards: No Feats, No BFCs, No Bystander Tokens
Player 1 (Brotherhood): 400 points, 4 actions per turn. Can only use figures with The Brotherhood TA (or Brotherhood of Mutants keyword).
Player 2 (X-men): 400 points, 4 actions per turn. Can only use figures with the X-Men TA (or keyword). You may also use figures with the New Mutants keyword.
Player 3 (Razor Sentinel): You can only use one figure: SENTINEL or ADVANCED SENTINEL. Use it's full dial. The Sentinel is given the feats Powered by Mutants and Razor Tech.
Player 3 Special: If the player chooses to use the original Sentinel (Infinity Challenge Mark VII), he also gets to use the Mark VIII Upgrades feat.
Mutant Strategy: This shouldn't be too bad of a fight, because you're only facing one foe! You'll need to hit fast and hard with all your actions because the Sentinel can heal 1 or 2 clicks each turn.
If you're teammates are captured, your top priority is to free them the Sentinel gets capture bonuses and you'll need every character at your disposal. Brother hood characters can free X-men characters and vice versa.
Choose your characters carfeully because: "Sentinel is not affected by Exploit Weakness, Force Blast, Incapacitate, Mind Control, Plasticity, Poison, Psychic Blast, Shape Change, Steal Energy, and any team ability or effect that reproduces those powers."
I recommend you read the official Sentinel rules before building your team. Know your enemy!
Sentinel Strategy: You can push Sentinel each turn (taking 1 damage), but this is offset with the free healing each turn, so push push push! Capturing has been boosted to make it worthwhile, but remember that you lose your Multi-Attack ability if you're holding any mutant!
Using the original Mark VII version might actually be more advantageous because of the Upgrades feat. Between this feat and Razor Tech, you have some awesome combos at your hand. For example, Charge and Penetating Damage, Running Shot and Pulse Wave, etc.
