HeroClix World Scenarios PortalsDoctor Strange has fallen! The Master of Mystical Arts may be gone, but his magics persist on the battelfield and has opened up portals to different parts of the world! Can you fight on?

PLAYERS / POINTS / ACTIONS
•2-4 Players
•600 points (2 players), 500 points (3 players), or 400 points (4 players)
•4 actions per turn

CARDS
•All BFCs, Feats, Bystanders allowed.

MAP
This scenario must be played on an outdoor map. We recommend The Desert Village (Mighty Maps #3), since it easily allows for 4 players.

PORTALS

HeroClix Portals ScenarioAt the beginning of the game, each player places 4 special Portal Tokens on the map (using the same rules as object placements).

For 3 or more players, each player should only place 2 of them. (note, we've provided Portal Tokens to the right, but you can use a coin or anything else you have at your fingertips).

These are not "objects" and they're considered permanent blocking terrain for line of fire purposes.

•When any character steps into the same square as a PORTAL, they are automatically teleported to a mini-map of their choice.

•After stepping into any PORTAL, the character is teleported and it's movement stops.

MINI-MAP
Created by artist Michael Bielaski (Facebook Page) (Email), the minimaps are designed to be easily printed out at a home computer. Only one copy of each map should be printed. (You can find them on pages 2 and 3).

•At the begining of the game, place one Portal Token on any legal corner of the map. When a character is teleported to a mini map, they arrive on the map, opposite corner to the PORTAL.

•When exiting the mini-map, via PORTAL, the character will re-appear next to any PORTAL of his or her choice, on the main battlefield. (you cannot teleport directly from one mini-map to another)

•If there are 2 or more opposing characters on the same Mini-Map, that map's PORTAL becomes disabled -- it will become operation again when all opposing forces are elimited from that mini map.

•Note: Portals are NOT part of the main battlefield, so things like Battlefield-Conditions have NO EFFECT on the mini-maps. If a character has an ability that effects the whole map (i.e. Kid Zoom's "other characters can't use HSS"), it only effects the map he/she is currently on. Example, if Kid Zoom is on mini-map #2, his special power only applies to characters on mini-map #2)

OPTIONAL RULES
•Magical Defense: When a character is teleported to a mini-map, that character immediately possesses Super Senses until the beginning of your next turn.

•There Can Be Only One: Each mini-map can only hold 1 character from each player/team. If one of your characters is on each of the mini-maps, PORTALS on the main battlefield become blocking terrain for movement purposes (for you only).

•Magical Feedback: At the end of each of your turns, each of your characters on a mini-map rolls one die. On a result of 5 or 6, that character takes 1 unavoidable damage.

•Critical Magic: When making an attack roll inside a mini-map, any unmodified result of 7 is an automatic critical hit.

CLARIFICATIONS
Stepping into a PORTAL is exactly like stepping into hindering terrain. Your movement stops, but you can complete your action if possible (i.e. Charge, Running Shot)

A special thanks to David W. and Tony A. for doing some testing for us.
