HeroClix Scenario: Capture And HoldArtifacts of great power have appeared. It's up to you to take them and keep them out of the hands of your enemies!

BASIC SETUP
Players: 2-4
Points: 300, 400, 500, or 600
Bystander Tokens: Not allowed
Colossal figures: Not allowed

ARTIFACTS (SETUP)
There are 3 kinds of artifacts available, yellow, blue, and red. At the beginning of the game, each player places a yellow artifact exactly 4 squares of their starting position and a blue artifact exactly 8 squares of their starting position. One red artifact is placed in the very middle of the map (note: depending on the map, the red artifact might be placed on a line, therefore touching 4 squares).

Artifacts cannot be moved or destroyed. Note: for the purpose of this scenario, being "on" an artifact is the same as "adjacent".

ARTIFACTS (Capturing / Beginning of turn)
At the beginning of your turn (only your turn), before any other actions, if you have one or more figures adjacent an artifact, you capture it! If there is an opposing figure adjacent an artifact, you only get control if you have more figures adjacent to it (than your opponent). If both players have an equal number of adjacent figures, then nothing happens.

Once you CAPTURE an artifact, you control it. You can not lose control of it until another player captures it. You don't need to "keep a figure adjacent" to it to keep control -- it's yours until someone else takes it from you.

ARTIFACTS (Victory Points / End of turn)
At the end of your turn, you gain 10 Victory points for every yellow artifact you control... 20 victory points for every blue, and 40 for the red.

VICTORY CONDITIONS
After all players have taken their turn, check the total victory points. If any player has 300 or more points, the game ends -- whomever has more points wins. If there is a tie, all players gets to take one more turn and then calculate victory points again; continue to do this until there is a victor.

Note: HIGH-RES IMAGE download of these artifacts available here.

DOMINATION MODE!
In this mode, you can only win if you eliminate the opposing forces or control all the Artifacts at the end of your turn.

At the end of your turn, after you receive Victory Points from captured Artifacts, you can spend those points to summon more Heroclix figures! So if you have 100 Victory points, you can summon any figure that is 100 points or less and place it in your starting area (you cannot give it any actions until your next turn). You can only summon 1 figure this way on your turns. Any used points are carried over! (note: Previously KO'ed figures cannot be summoned.).

RED ARTIFACT MODE
In this version, you only win if you can can control the RED artifact for 5 turns (it doesn't have to be in a row). At the end of your turn, if you control the RED artifact, then you get 1 Control Point -- when you have 5 of them, you win. RED ARTIFACT MODE should be played in combination with DOMINATION MODE -- i.e. you can summon more figures with your accumulated victory points.

Nice scenario. Or is it scenarios? I'm going to pilfer some of these ideas for the campaign I'm running at the moment.
