Because of the way the figures were packaged, taking them out was relatively easy. Of the 25 figures, I had a bit of trouble taking out 3 of them because they were too snug in their homes. Those last 3 caused some struggles, but they came out without breaking -- just hold on the the base and pull (or push up to pop them out). Never hold the figures themselves when removing them from the box.
I was very happy to find the dials easy-to-turn. Only one dial was a bit difficult (Ozymandius), but eventually loosened up. This is good news because sticky dials suck.
Note that the double-based figures all have the old H-Dials, so you can use the good ol' HeroClix Turning Ring for those. Again though, all the dials were loose enough for me to turn with my fingers without the ring, even the H-Dials!
