HeroClix Green Lantern04-27-2011: This just in from Wizkids: "You will all be happy to hear that Green Lantern gravity feed previews will begin on 4 May 2011 then! : )

...previews for the Fast Forces pack are currently scheduled for 16 & 18 May 2011"

The Green Lantern HeroClix will be available this May.

FAST FORCES

Officially, the "Fast Forces" six-pack comes with 6 figures, 2 maps (probably a single map that is double sided), and two green dice! This is available only at your local comic/game store.

GRAVITY FEED

Unofficially, Wizkids also previously announced a "Gravity Feed", which is similar to the Captain America set coming in the fall. There is no word on whether this set will be released in May (or at all) as previously planned.

Previously the Gravity Feed Info was announced as:
-10 Green Lantern Figures
-Each Booster contains a single figure
-24 boosters come in one "Gravity Feed" box.
-Only available at your local Target stores

Posted by: bp29 on 11/2/2011 5:28:49 AM
What the....? Are the GL Fast Forces allocated? My store ordered lots of them, only got 4. More to come? Anyone?

Posted by: tirillian on 5/20/2011 6:03:56 PM
@ The Yellow Fear- Please refer to my comment on the 18th. Posted the location of the boosters when I found it, on my 5th trip to a Target.

@The Le... So are Nickleback better or vice versa? Oh, nevermind. This is hurting my head.

Posted by: licensedhero on 5/20/2011 4:01:39 PM
@ licensedhero thnx. tht would have been more helpful had you had posted it before the 18th, went i visited my local Target, 30 miles away.

Posted by: The Yellow Fear on 5/20/2011 2:43:08 PM
Checked 4 Targets in the Dayton Ohio area and couldn't find any and I checked every part of the store

Posted by: upset on 5/20/2011 2:32:41 PM
@licensedhero: Ummm, no. That's like saying Nickelback has good music because you're comparing it to the Kings of Leon.

Posted by: The Le on 5/19/2011 7:54:34 PM
@ EVERYONE HAVING TROUBLE FINDING THE GRAVITY FEEDS: Found them at one of the stores by me, but they're in the baseball cards section, not in the toy section. Hope that helps everyone!
@ The Le: Wouldn't that make me sane by comparison?

Posted by: licensedhero on 5/19/2011 7:14:08 PM
Same Problem here in Tulsa OK: Can't find any of the Gravity Packs, and the people at Target are clueless as to what it is and when they will get any

Posted by: Starman1976 on 5/19/2011 5:32:19 PM
I was able to pick up 2 of the 3 colossals, but having too hard of a time trying to locate any Gravity Feeds in Targets. I'm in the Dallas area and there are like 20 stores (called almost all of them) with no luck.

Posted by: Shawn on 5/19/2011 1:34:18 PM
I'm pretty annoyed that the AE Hal ONLY works with the Gravity Feed Green Lantern. Another major missed opportunity with AE figures. I think it's time to ditch em and save those slots for figs with a more useful and better supported mechanic.

Posted by: Sancho on 5/19/2011 8:47:00 AM
i am now buying the fast forces, if only for the 100 point sinestro X_x my jesus christ and savior, i am not worthy!

Posted by: sparkdemon on 5/19/2011 4:46:37 AM
I went into target to pick up a gravity feed booster and then directly next door to toys r us to buy the exclusive GSX super boosters. neither had anything

Posted by: fishclip on 5/18/2011 11:50:44 PM
licensedhero: It could very well be you *are* crazy, and everyone else around you is simply more crazy than you.

Posted by: The Le on 5/18/2011 11:14:27 AM
At least you can get yours. The staff at both of the Targets I went to think I'm crazy.

Posted by: licensedhero on 5/18/2011 11:03:18 AM
The sculpt is bad. I got two of her at Target along with the rest except Sal. I swear it looks like her body is running. It appears they didn't let her cool down right, or something. Is she made of clay, because that's what the sculpt looks like.

Posted by: eagletsi on 5/13/2011 5:42:36 AM
Man that Boddikka looks horrific. Hope the actual sculpt is better.

Looks like 85 points is shaping up to be the go-to price for cheap Lanterns. Ganthet looks a little bare without P/PB, but I think I might like a Lantern phasing up to someone for a B/C/F shot the next round, take a hit, then Phase away for a few shots. Might be nice.

Posted by: Dairoka on 5/9/2011 11:29:23 AM
I kind of like the ganthet. His numbers are lower because of the point gap between the older ones, but I like the outwit, perplez, and p. control without the leadership or blanks clogging the dial.

Gathet's got Quintessence (or as I like to call it, the "Big Effin' Q" (credit to Denis Leary)... I don't care for the sculpt, though...

Exceptional Ganthet for 200pts! I know the clix scene has been a tad over saturated with Green Lantern’s recently but I can’t get enough of them.

Posted by: Jowzam on 5/9/2011 9:14:47 AM
Any reason why they don't have the green lantern team power? Why do I get the feeling ganthet is not going to have a team power either?

Posted by: nafeets920 on 5/6/2011 8:08:59 AM
Darn. Another Green Lantern. Sigh...
Is it just me, or is anyone else GREEN LANTERNED out?!

Posted by: Owlman166 on 5/5/2011 8:14:26 PM
An alter-ego for Hal? About time, IMHO. I dig it.

Posted by: MEsch on 5/4/2011 11:53:51 AM
I like the sculpts, need a little work on the face though. people are complaining bout the
Stats but u gotta remember its going off the movie so he is just beginning. For a rookie im
Cool with it. Overall im satisfied plus its alter-ego n thats nice. Could have at least give him one click of running shot or force blast on the hal jordan cuz he has the ring.

Posted by: geminimerc on 5/4/2011 11:38:50 AM
to be honest i dont like hal jordans sculpt or dial but the dial is good for it point value and green lantern its self i dont like the sculpt but lie the dial for the point value

Posted by: calvin on 5/4/2011 11:00:41 AM
I believe I will be calling this the "Oops, I stepped in gum" Green Lantern.

Posted by: Sancho on 5/4/2011 10:56:20 AM
For 85 pts that's not bad. I dare say it's decent. maybe even good...

Posted by: Logan on 5/4/2011 10:40:07 AM
Wow. That's just... yeah. *sigh* I was hoping for dials that I couldn't wait to play. This is... kinda meh. Not bad, but far from impressive. But it might be fun for the "Hit Ryan Reynolds in the face until he can dish out over 2 damage" factor.

Posted by: Dairoka on 5/4/2011 10:06:39 AM
HEY AWESOME

Posted by: CALVIN on 5/2/2011 6:18:22 AM
Hey Le! Are the figures in the Gravity Feed going to be the same as the ones in the "Fast Forces"? Would you know? and I hope Tomar Re is good...

Posted by: Albert on 4/28/2011 5:37:09 AM
Nevermind, but I would love to have a Green Lantern Sinestro.

Posted by: The Yellow Fear on 4/27/2011 2:34:27 PM
I want to see more, but I already know I'll want to get a ton from this set. I love the Green Lantern and DC.

Posted by: The Yellow Fear on 4/27/2011 2:31:03 PM
very true, im also from uk(london), ive been playing clix from beginning, pretty much bought something from every set (not giants set). we used to have a national tournament but we lost that when wizkids stopped trading. ive been to 4 nationals and had a wicked time. i still play clix, loving Gxmen set, i normally buy clix from u.s sites because there are only a few places online and selective shops where we can buy. clixs need to be reborn for the uk players we need more places to buy in more general stores, and re organise national tournaments.

Posted by: big r on 4/17/2011 7:52:43 AM
Hi guys first time posting...I live in the U.K and getting clix here is nigh on impossible, I wish larger main stream stores sold them it would promote a larger clix community. I have to play at home with family and have never attended an event I mainly convert and mod the clix...In essence I am all for the small shopkeep but anyone who sells the clix promotes the game and I feel thats good!

Posted by: Daemon on 4/13/2011 2:20:44 AM
Thumbs up! May is just around the corner... Thanks for posting ;-)-

Posted by: Ianator on 4/8/2011 7:43:41 PM
Well from stores like target in my town, the classics packs: iron man, fantastic four, etc didnt sell too good and I just waited until the store practically gave them away for like 3.00 or less. Some of the rules are complex and can be better explained from playing at a venue than from reading the Powers & Ability Card.

Posted by: Ponch75 on 4/8/2011 9:08:52 AM
I can see where Tony is coming from. If it makes you feel any better, I was intorduced to Heroclix by finding a starter at a Target store. Since then I have been pouring money into my local shops. If tonysking is who I think he is, then I now, almost exclusively, buy clix from him and try to frequent his Clix events.

Posted by: thearthandyman on 4/8/2011 6:29:42 AM
@tonysking: Please note that I have no confirmation on the no-hobby-stores info. It could be true, it could be false (although being true certainly makes sense).

That being said, it's very possible that getting HeroClix in the hand of mass market could very well lead to more new players coming into the mix! And if new players want core sets, the only place they'll be able to get them is in their local hobby stores!

(note, I am not condoning or condemning this tactic, I am simply analyzing it).

Posted by: The Le on 4/7/2011 7:55:51 PM
I rarely complain, but I think is RIDICULOUS that WizKids is blowing off small shops with their gravity fed GL. Do they WANT to help the WalMart's but the little guy out of business?

Posted by: tonysking on 4/7/2011 4:58:00 PM
My inner OL says: "MINE!"
