03-05-2012: the new QUASAR is here. Not sure when we last saw Quasar, but this one rocks! It's a dual dial, allowing you to run him at 175 points or 100 points. Personally I think the extra 75 points is worth it for teh 2 clicks of Hypersonic Speed and Impervious/Invulnerability. The Energy Explosion is nice for different options, but I doubt you'll make use of it much since you've got Hypersonic and [4] damage to work with.

Of course you can alawys stick with the 100 point version, where you get Pulse Wave right off the bat!

How do u login hero clix i have the whole set and i want to play

Ronan's Universal Weapon is a nice special power (especially when combined with 100 pts. version with starting Running Shot). Not sure if I would play him at the 150 pts. or 75 pts. versions though.

It's pronounced Beta Ray BIIIIIIIiiiiIIIiiilllll!

Posted by: Kragnorak on 3/14/2012 11:34:56 AM
Why the long face, Biill?

Posted by: Imbalance on 3/13/2012 4:30:04 AM
"biill"?
hope that gets fixed before the final print.

Posted by: wish i had tusks on 3/12/2012 12:44:26 PM
Beta Ray is insane for his points. Impervious, decent 1st click attack, the special abilities AND indomitable for 150? Yes, please.

Posted by: haoyong on 3/12/2012 10:37:37 AM
I think I still prefer the CA version but this Quasar is definitely push friendly in regard to his attack options on his top 3 clicks at 175 pts. However I don't think I would use his 100 pts. version very much unless I include a tker or 2 on the team.

Quasar – In my opinon the best FF character to date. At the 100 point level He has a great Def starting at 18 and 2 clicks pulse wave. The 5th click is pretty nasty with Running Shot and Pulsewave for 3. The late dial TK makes him worth keeping around and still useful at the end. A very solid piece at either level for the points
First Line of Defense Power looks like it would allow him to move a single based Giant as well (unless their powers state they can not be moved

@geminimerc

Yes the +1 modifier applies to all combat values which includes movement, attack, defense, damage, & range.

Posted by: phep on 2/28/2012 8:06:25 PM
I like the other one better for points. It is a cool special power for this one. Gladiator should have indomitable anyway. PC gives him that n protection against Outwit. I can't get over eno Hypersonic on this one. Gladiator should have HS even if it's one clix. I mean that's like having a Silver Surfer with no HS...o wait, they did that too. C'MON!!! What are u thinking? I do have one question though bout this one. When its says modify his combat values, does that mean ALL combat values, meaning Range, Damage, Movement also?

Posted by: geminimerc on 2/28/2012 6:21:44 AM
Stats & power wise I think the main set Gladiator is better for the points when comparing that version to the 200 pts. FF one. The FF Gladiator does have a nice damage special power though. However a word of caution of putting support figures with less that 5 clicks and no defensive powers on a team with him because he will lose that power really quick since they would be realatively easy to KO.

Posted by: phep on 2/27/2012 7:32:15 PM
Gladiator FF - With this version The increase in cost for the 3 extra clix is more reasonable than the other version. Still don't feel it is worth the extra 100pts. The trait make this character very playable. " Mr Moloid. those guys over there are your friends. They want to hang around with you. Go give them a hung"

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 2/27/2012 1:07:20 PM
@FlavorableDeez,

I remember the Cancerverse Revengers as well, but the ones I would like to see in clix form are Wonder Man's Revengers that he uses to shutdown the Avengers. So far we have Wonder Man, Goliath (sort of) and Atlas, but D-Man was only a pog and the other four have not been created.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 2/27/2012 11:54:48 AM
With flurry and that SP at the 100 point mark, He's just begging to be thrown into the fray with TK and KO a character double his cost.

Posted by: Shazbot on 2/27/2012 11:18:25 AM
Gladiator is going to be a blast to play. Love his special power. Truth is i like this version better than the SR.

Posted by: battlinbichon on 2/27/2012 10:27:55 AM
Silver Surfer – Don’t Think that 100 pts for 3 extra clicks is worth it. Would rather have 2 of the Surfer on my team for 200 pts. Considering that the Bio on the back states he took on Thor And Ironman at the same time I am surprised he has only 1 Bolt. Found the 100 pt to be very good for the points but would have preferred that one of the running shot clicks be on click 4. The Phasing and Regen on the last click is a nice combo for a power cosmic character as it allows to phase away to safety and Regen.

The sculpt is really nice looking

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 2/21/2012 1:50:44 PM
Revengers were the "Cancerverse" version of the Avengers. It was a plot line after Annihilation.

Posted by: FlavorableDeez on 2/21/2012 9:56:40 AM
@SHK,

Where do you see something about the Revengers?

Posted by: Kragnorak on 2/21/2012 9:47:22 AM
Does the it say Revengers in the Background instead of avengers?

Posted by: StrongHumanKind on 2/20/2012 4:29:54 PM
This Nova seems to be a bit pricy for 6 clicks of life but I think it's probably due to the Worldmind Surge SP. However I like that Avengers, New Warriors, & Soldier keyword team has a new support figure that can attack & do decent damage as well. So is this preview from the Annilators FF pack or an entirely different FF pack?

Posted by: phep on 2/13/2012 10:18:28 PM
I think playin him as support tand then a secondary attacker is key with him, but for 125 he feels a bit costly.

Posted by: Slade on 2/13/2012 2:29:26 PM
I wish he didnt have phasing on his opening clix, I would have prefered Running Shot. But besides that I really like his SWP Worldwide Surge. Can you see HOT's Thor with a 14 AV or HOT's Cap with a 12 AV and his SWP because of Nova. Heck even SI Dr. Strange with a 13 AV will be nasty since he ignores stealth.

I can see him on a lot of large scale Avengers theme teams at 1000+. But with his points I dont see him on many 300-600 point teams. At 125 points he is not cheap.
