HILLSIDE, NJ – March 31st, 2012 NECA/WizKids, the leader in collectible gaming, is proud to announce the creation of Wizkids Interactive, a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Entertainment Collectibles Association Inc. (NECA).
Wizkids Interactive primary focus will be the video game market, starting with interactive games for Windows, Mac, and ports available for the iPhone and Android market.
“Wizkids Interactive is a subdivision I’ve been fighting for for many years, and today it’s a reality," said new WizKids President Justin Ziran. "With key members from Icarus Studios, makers of HeroClix Online, Wizkids Interactive will push the NECA/Wizkids organization to new heights as we enter the video game industry and it’s vertical markets.”
To celebrate this historic announcement, HeroClix World is thrilled to bring you a special first look at Wizkids Interactive's first game, Starship Hero! And the fun doesn't end there! Starship Hero isn't just a "demo", it's a full-fledged game where you can win physical HeroClix boosters and figures!

"Here at Wizkids corporate, we’ve reserved fifty boosters of Marvel Galactic Guardians HeroClix, three colossal Galactus figures from the Galactic Guardians HeroClix set, and fifty Marvel Chaos War Fast Forces packs. Each of these prizes will be giving out to those of you who can complete Starship Hero.
The rules are simple: download the Starship Hero game from our exclusive partner, HeroClix World, and play it. If you can reach 1-million points before the timer expires, with at least 1 life left, you’ll automatically win one of the reserved prizes above. This promotion runs until Saturday April 7th or until supplies are exhausted, whichever comes first. US and Canadian residents only please.
