Winter of HeroClix
Welcome to the Winter of HeroClix World. From now until the end of the year we're giving away free HeroClix figures! We've got a pile of single Gravity Feed boosters ready to go (sealed), and we've broken up a brick of Superman/Wonder HeroClix to give away!

Clarification: The cat is not available as a prize. She doesn't like you.

How Do you Win?
We'll be giving away freebies every week right here are HeroClix World. You can start with our TALKBACK TUESDAYS -- every Tuesday just leave a comment about that day's article, and we'll pick a winner later that week! We'll ship anywhere in the world.

Another way to win is to keep tabs on our TWITTER account, HeroClixWorld77 -- we often give out free HeroClix there too!

Right: Check out the Discounted HeroClix Singles!

Why Are We Doing This?
A year ago I died in the hospital from massive ulcers and came back from the dead. And this past summer I survived quadruple bypass surgery, where they literally stop your heart and reboot it after the operation. I'm here today to celebrate life -- and when I celebrate, so do my readers.

When does it start?
It already has. We started Talkback Tuesday last month and it's been a huge success!

But what the heck, we'll give out a free HeroClix figure to you this week if you post a comment below.

Simply answer this question:  Where's the best place to be during a Zombie Apocalypse?

Mars....there are no zombies there.

Standing on the roof of my house with a machine gun.

Posted by: John on 11/13/2015 5:21:45 PM
In the headquarters of a gun store. Where you have unlimited ammo.

Posted by: Joe on 11/13/2015 10:53:33 AM
Watching it on TV.

Fortress of solitude! I mean superbots, kryptonian weapons, food, shelter and secluded area. What mire do you want?

Posted by: Matt on 11/11/2015 11:43:58 AM
I work in a corporate café. It has five floors with several doors between each floor and four elevators. A lot of food in the freezer and walk-in. Plus sh!t load of snack. The building is built of 2000 employees. Shelter and food. Bathrooms. Showers. Beds. Life is good. I could send messages to the sports stadium survivors with the wifi towers and all the cooking utensils for protections.

I have a great Idea for a clix fig, lich king from warcraft. He'll have incapacitate with 1 unavoidable damage as a trait.

Posted by: Thomas.L on 11/10/2015 12:24:51 PM
In like walmart or target hahaa you have everything

Posted by: Zombie Survivalist on 11/10/2015 10:23:43 AM
Someplace with freezing temperatures. . The remaining moisture in the zombies bodies would freeze solid and they wouldn't be able to move.

On a full stocked boat in the middle of the ocean, everyone knows that zombies can't swim ??

Posted by: Kungfujim on 11/10/2015 6:39:55 AM
Standing next to me. Your survival percentage sky rockets to at least 95%. Trust me.

Posted by: ecscribbler on 11/10/2015 4:42:31 AM
the best place is a sports ground/statium:doors that can be locked, water surpply, medical room , vending machines and facilities to cook and room for lots of people but long term dig up the field and grow stuff, you get sports equipment to bash those zombie heads in

Posted by: trevor on 11/10/2015 4:34:01 AM
Best place to be during a Zombie Apocalypse? A Hostess Twinkie Factory of course!

Posted by: Jhoffee on 11/9/2015 11:42:11 PM
The place to hide would be the hyperbolic time chamber.

Posted by: Kaijuhero on 11/9/2015 10:54:37 PM
Really awesome of this page. Can't wait to see more.

Posted by: Lewisd4 on 11/9/2015 10:39:54 PM
I feel we all need to take a lesson from the zombie marvel universe and do a Mr fantastic on the moon. Although power cosmic zombies would be a pretty big problem.

Posted by: Triplefife on 11/9/2015 9:47:45 PM
I appreciate this, and hope you get better.

Posted by: MasterCraig on 11/9/2015 8:34:23 PM
Hide at a school board meeting since no one ever thinks to look for the living there.

Posted by: Eric Shaw on 11/9/2015 6:54:44 PM
A small island with fresh water and some fruit trees. Survival, Bahamas style!

Posted by: Laanxx99 on 11/9/2015 6:49:42 PM

House in the country by the river for a water getaway.
Or Sealand off the British coast.

Posted by: Warborg on 11/9/2015 5:07:13 PM
In a nuclear sub...

Posted by: John on 11/9/2015 5:03:44 PM
Well the moon is potentially a good idea but you will eventually run out of food and oxygen. Honestly my best guess is to be nomadic.

If I win pm me on Facebook under Gavin Nally, I am a picture of deadpool ??

Posted by: Gavin Nally on 11/9/2015 4:42:40 PM
The best place? Is that by Kantian ethics or Utilitarianism?
Either way, the answer is "Wherever Batman would be, doing whatever Batman would do, literally being Batman."

Posted by: ChippyYYZ on 11/9/2015 4:33:44 PM
I still think a prison complex or military base would be the best place to be.

Posted by: MikeG on 11/9/2015 2:53:20 PM
In the country. Farms for food and hunting equipment for protection.

Posted by: Dan on 11/9/2015 2:34:15 PM
Sweet deal I'm with it

Posted by: Pstar420 on 11/9/2015 2:28:25 PM
I'm gonna go with a bar. A bar with a lot of good, live music and local brews on tap. Preferably IPAs. That's my answer to pretty much any question that starts out with "Where's the best place to be..."

Posted by: Fritschie on 11/9/2015 2:05:51 PM
On a boat of course. In the water, the Zombies can't get to you.

Posted by: quicksova on 11/9/2015 1:48:10 PM
The best place would be on a tropical island, since most zombies shown can't swim or operate machinery.

Posted by: Carl on 11/9/2015 1:17:01 PM
The White House. They have to take care of us poor undefended civilians when the zombie poop hits the fan, right?

Posted by: Kungfu Clixer on 11/9/2015 12:36:52 PM
By a food factory! Lol

Posted by: Michael on 11/9/2015 12:09:37 PM
Your mom's house. BOOOOMMMMM!

Posted by: Urmom on 11/9/2015 12:06:32 PM
Thank you a wonderful idea. I am glad you are doing well

Posted by: Barclay on 11/9/2015 12:02:01 PM
In the TARDIS, nothing can get through that door.

In the Appalachian mountains. There is water, food (to hunt and from everyone's long term stores), most buildings are heated by wood and have solid cellars, the mountains provide long fields of fire easy choke points and few locals to become infected.

Posted by: jeansteir on 11/9/2015 11:47:20 AM
At a shotgun shop. Once the Zombies turn up, I imagine things like "price" and "mandatory cooldown" cease mattering REALLY quickly.

And that's assuming I couldn't cheat properly and go Kamen Rider on some Zombie ass...

Posted by: Alan Wilkinson on 11/9/2015 10:54:25 AM
The best place for a zombie Apocalypse...alcatraz

Posted by: Alex on 11/9/2015 10:54:17 AM
...or what Jim, Joe Decker or Prince of Orphans said. They made me laugh.

Posted by: MantisWarrior on 11/9/2015 9:47:58 AM
At necromancy college.

Having just uttered the words:

"For my A++ grade in advanced necromancy I have just unleashed a zombie apocalypse."

Posted by: MantisWarrior on 11/9/2015 9:41:57 AM
Obviously some type of medical navy ship. With a small crew.

Posted by: Dustin on 11/9/2015 9:32:15 AM
With the zombies. When in Rome...

Posted by: Prince of Orphans on 11/9/2015 9:30:48 AM
A hospital, a small one is best with no more then 5 floors.

Posted by: drakelf on 11/9/2015 8:55:56 AM
An alternate Earth where there isn't a zombie apocalypse going on?

Posted by: Joe Decker on 11/9/2015 8:49:59 AM
A Cabelas or Bass Pro Shop. Food, weapons, survival gear; what more could you need? Even multi-levels should you need to barricade things off. Otherwise a Costco or Sam's club would be a pretty good choice for many of the same reasons. I watch The Walking Dead and the prison was a pretty good choice for them for a while, anyways. Good topic. Didn't realize you had those health issues and glad they turned out for the best.

Posted by: Mark G. on 11/9/2015 8:14:16 AM
Best place to be i think must have have high walls and a sturdy outer perimeter like a thick mesh fence. So probably a jail.

Posted by: Josh Seamon on 11/9/2015 7:58:48 AM
Glad to hear you are doing well. Free clix is cool to

Posted by: Josh Seamon on 11/9/2015 7:57:01 AM
Nobody goes to k-marts.
Not even the dead.

Posted by: Jim on 11/9/2015 7:55:30 AM
Glad to know that you're a Highlander. I too am one, I had open heart surgery when I was a kid. If you're ever in Pueblo,CO on a Thursday night, Come by Chaos Games and More and come Clix with my group.
There's this place outside Kansas City that is built into a mountainside and it houses several office spaces and a UPS/FedEx shipping hub, it also has a paintball field in it. Its like a ten minute drive outside the city, but each complex has an easily barricaded entrance and I think there is even an Urgent Care Clinic in it

Posted by: Rab4630 on 11/9/2015 7:38:09 AM
So you want to stay alive in a zombie apocalypse. my best bet would be a Costco, they have food, and power, and it's a giant warehouse. you'll be fine as long as there's little to no zombies

Posted by: Eternal Harvest on 11/9/2015 7:36:03 AM
So, you've come back from the dead...twice.

Also, the best place to be is deep underground in a concrete bunker with food and a way to view the surface.

Posted by: You'll never know... on 11/9/2015 6:59:48 AM
I really like this idea. I hope it goes well.

Posted by: Darko on 11/9/2015 6:54:33 AM
This is a great way to start the winter season!
