These April Fool's Jokes are getting tiresome guys.... How about putting this much energy into something worthwhile?????

@ Adam
Read the last page.

What is the status on this?

The most bass ackwards idea they have had to date.
This new business model seems motivated by pure greed. I think I'll just trade all my DC alternate cards for someone else's Marvel alternate cards instead of having to buy boosters for characters I don't like. If I get into this set at all, I'd rather save for SF2.

Stop making awesome April fools jokes (Namingly the Disney heroclix) and just do them damn it!

@Will1161: Thanks. I'm good at disappointment!

This was an awesome April fools, but now 2012's is rolling around and it's still here teasing us. I was really psyched for the possible set, and this is just a reminder of my disappointment.

dc would win

You guys got me so bad! I was so friggin pumped! That alternate card idea is AMAZING. I highly suggest you just make them anyway and have them as print and play for house games. That is a marvelous idea! Please impliment it!!!!

BOO! Just make a regular set with the Amalgam as the SRs and chase figures!

Ok, here it is, the end of may n i'm just now seeing this article. I don't know how I missed it. I was going to be upset cuz there was only going to be ten almagam figures and I thought great, it's called Dc vs Marvel n its going to be impossible to get more than one or two without dropping loads of cash. Then I saw the Oan sentinel and thought cool but y use the old sentinel. Then I went to the last page and laughed out loud. U beautiful bastards, u got me. Cool idea though. Lets hope they decide to do this in the future. If they have trouble coming up with enough characters maybe they can do single paks like GL n Cap A clix or a couple starter sets. Those alt character cards seem neat but not for this kind of set. Won't have any relation to almagam

Wow - and they said it would never happen!

on 4/12/2011 11:26:02 AM
I fell for it until it got to the Green Lantern Sentinel. The alternate character cards were actually a good idea.

on 4/2/2011 10:48:16 AM
@robes: PhotoImpact. I use it for all my image editing on this site, without paying an arm and a leg. The Kryptonian Sentinel would look better if I faded the "S" check emblem and got rid of the jaggy lines, but I didn't think it was important since it's the last page. I have a Sentinel in "Punisher" gear too, somewhere.

did you just photoshop the sentienels? they look pretty good...especially the Oan...

on 4/1/2011 10:27:01 AM
I wanted this more than DisneyClix!!!!
I may make some conversions anyway!! Actually, I AM going to use Starro Aquaman, Aqualad and the (Sponge) Blob as a Team. So there!!!

Finally, if there's one thing Heroclix has been missing, it's DC vs Marvel fights. Maybe this can be expanded with mini-sets from other companies, like a Hellboy set or an Invincible set.
Maybe even Watchmen!

This is better than when I dropped my chocolate in my peanut butter. I've been waiting on this set since Hypertime! Thank you NECA. You've made many a dream come true.

I am glad you are all enjoying this year's HeroClix World April Fools. You can't fool all the people all the time, but that's okey. I will always believe, that, if you're going to do an April Fool's, but some actual EFFORT into it. You'd be surprised at how incredibly LAZY other websites and admins are when it comes to this this kid of stuff. Enjoy the holiday folks!

Good one The Le! You got me good! In my defence I haven't had my morning coffee yet.....I was going to post about the Justice League Superman re-use and the Sentinel re-use when we had new sentinels that would have been better but it turned out to be April fools.

on 4/1/2011 7:28:03 AM
I am excited for this set. I've wanted certain almagam figs from day one. Dark claw, Dr. Stragefate, Super soldier, Amazon, and Iron Lantern. The alt. Character cards sounds crazy. Thanks for the spoiler /update.

After I saw the Oan Sentinel I knew something was up. Might have been an interesting set, but we don't need scarey pieces to become scarier when a player feels like it.

For all that is holy why????? Dangle such a sweet lovely carrot in front of us like that! Even though it is April Fools day have you no shame??
But let it be known to the powers that be that AMALGAM figures would be NICE!
Here I was salivating at the idea of having a Darkclaw figure! Arrrggghh! You got me good on that one!

Smart!
Kinda gave it away with the Green Sentinel, Can't see them using the old sculpts for anything, what with the new versions out there.
But, very good, all the same. Lolled.

on 3/31/2011 11:30:13 PM
I'm relieved. Having to buy a ton of books to get the whole story is the reason I stopped buying comic books. DC 75 gave me that bad feeling again trying to collect the white lanterns. This would be maddening.

ha ha, not quite as funny as the disneyclix though
Happy april fools

Since we are still in march i thought there was a chance this was real until i seen the sentinal. O well eventually this idea will become a reality. We will have a batman shield agent!

ok i would like to say that this is totaly lame, the disney clix was one thing becouse i was releaved that it was an april fools day joke, but this, this was something i was dreaming of since i started playing heroclix, amalgum figures, DC/marvel figures in the same set, and im sure im not the only one that feels the same way about this, APRIL FOOLS DAY JOKES ARE ONLY FUNNY WHEN YOU ARE RELEAVED AFTER YOU FIND OUT IT WAS A JOKE!
Posted by: waotan

Ok call me a fool! But remember, jokes are half meant.

I would kill for some Amalgams though.
