02-01-2013: What's this?!? Spider-Man with Hypersonic Speed?!? Is Wizkids off their rocker?!? He also has the overly complex Improved Movement / Targeting too.

HeroClix Spiderman Dial

01-15-2013: This fabulous Spider-Man actually comes from the Gravity feed set! Not only does he have Improved Movement / Targeting, he's a Sharpshooter with a starting click of Charge and Super Senses! We're also pleased with the Flurry in the middle of teh dial!

HeroClix Spider-Man Gravity Feed

What's this? A cool new picture was posted at the official Wizkids Facebook page. So who is this? Scarlet Spider? Spider-man 2099? Is it even Peter Parker underneath that mask?

Your Comments:
General question here: Which figures in the HeroClix pantheon represent Danny Ketch as Ghost Rider? I believe that all the named ones are Johnny Blaze?

Posted by: Kragnorak on 2/11/2013 3:55:11 PM
@PassingBy Whoops. Good call. I need to stop doing things in a hurry.

Posted by: The Le on 2/7/2013 6:11:51 AM
@The Le: No Outwit on Johnny Blaze.

Posted by: PassingBy on 2/6/2013 11:24:40 PM
Soooooo now what? Friday?

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 2/6/2013 4:25:24 PM
I like the repeated use of "Penance Stare" for Ghost Rider. It's still very character accurate and a really nice Special Power to possess. Plus, it is kind of silly to create a really nice SP once and never use it again and continue to create new Special Powers. I hope future figures reuse good Special Powers.

Posted by: ChronoFett on 2/6/2013 11:51:19 AM
@justwondering What?

Posted by: The Le on 2/6/2013 6:33:32 AM
Is "Elnarge" the magic word to make things appear?

Posted by: justwondering on 2/6/2013 6:27:54 AM
@The Le: It probably won't be the text on the front page for long anyway, but "How about -1 to all your attack values?" wouldn't be a good thing, but it doesn't matter since that's not what he does anyway.

Posted by: PassingBy on 2/4/2013 9:28:02 PM
Anyone else notice that this seems to be the first marvel set in ages not to have a Wolverine in it? That's certainly a good thing in my opinion as the marvel sets felt a little over-saturated with him. Maybe one day we'll get a DC set with no Batman :)

Looks like a good set overall, but I'm a little disappointed that Shuma-Gorath isn't in it when loads of the other mystical bits are.

Posted by: annoyinglizardvoice on 2/4/2013 12:01:39 PM
Anyone else unhappy with #024? I think it's OK, but not definitively Spider-Man.

Posted by: Licensedhero on 2/2/2013 5:16:55 AM
@white phoenix of the crown: Yep. This Wednesday, February 6.

Posted by: PassingBy on 2/1/2013 4:52:19 PM
Kraven looks great. Why a cardboard lion?
Do the thing right give us a sculp!

Posted by: willpower on 1/31/2013 3:16:38 AM
So when is this coming out? Feb 6?

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 1/30/2013 5:02:44 PM
@Mantis Warrior: Yes I did. This has been fixed. Gosh, I really need to hire someone to do these for me.

Posted by: The Le on 1/30/2013 2:18:41 PM
Both Kravens are looking pretty solid. Time to break out a lion king happy meal toy to replace the bystander!

@The Le Are you missing a special defence power on Kraven's dial in your pic?

Posted by: Mantis Warrior on 1/30/2013 2:04:37 PM
I heard that the sculpt is kind of small. He needs to be Juggernaut size. I'm not too nit-picky with sculpts but I like when my brutes look the part.

Posted by: Top10 on 1/29/2013 3:28:28 PM
Rhino. The reason for improved movement. 'Nuff said!

Posted by: Mantis Warrior on 1/29/2013 5:37:10 AM
@ChronoFett: You have the right idea. Everything rounds up in Heroclix (unless otherwise stated) so if you rolled a 1 it would be halved to 1/2 and then rounded up to 1.

Posted by: PassingBy on 1/28/2013 11:18:04 PM
Satana is wearing more clothes than usual - probably because the Bible Belt will already be upset with this set :b

Posted by: Kragnorak on 1/28/2013 8:33:48 PM
So, for Rhino's Special Charge ability....I'm assuming that you would round up for the extra damage dice roll. So, if I rolled a D6 for extra damage and rolled a 1, it would round up to a 2, so halved I would still get a +1 to damage. Thoughts anyone?

Posted by: ChronoFett on 1/28/2013 7:47:00 PM
@Phelp We're getting a common Daimon Hellstrom, Dr. Strange, Johnny Blaze and Dr. Druid. For uncommons, we also have Wong. For the rares, we're getting Demogoblin, Kraven, Lizard, Man Thing, Jennifer Kale, then Ancient One. We also have a cool Madame Web and Spider-Man 2099 SR :)

Posted by: JLDark9 on 1/26/2013 6:42:42 AM
Cool! If there is a Satana Hellstrom in the ASM set there might be a Daimon Hellstrom as well. Then the old school Defenders will be complete (but we'll still need new versions of Hellcat, Nighthawk, & a Hawkeye with the Defenders keyword).

Her SP is pretty cool too.

Posted by: phep on 1/25/2013 5:42:18 PM
Brother Voodoo!!!! Wow!!! Free action, zero feedback mind control!!!!
Turn one phase within 6 of your target.
You now have one token so free action MC.
Turn 2 Free action MC then clear (or push if you need to leg it to safety)
Turn 3 (unless pushed) reposition or attack then more free MC!
His defences are good enough to survive annoying opponents with this for a good chunk of the game too. Shame he's a rarer Prime because this is on my MUST HAVE NOW list! Drooooool!!

@spike1138: Does it take a unanimous decision to change the wording on an effect?

Posted by: Nightwing on 1/20/2013 10:35:25 PM
actually Im not saying that at all, we can make suggestions on anything like keywords or powers ect., but it almost has to ve a unanimous to get it done!

Posted by: spike1138 on 1/19/2013 9:41:50 AM
@spike1138: Are you saying WizKids doesn't take suggestions on the wording of effects from the play testers?

Posted by: Nightwing on 1/18/2013 4:08:33 PM
nightwing, it is difficult because the playtesters just have a partial say in everything, we have a website where we basically vote on a scale of 1-10 and if everything gets a 5 then its a done deal! we can only suggest keywords and only give our opinioms but we do not in any way have the final say, not to mention that if any fanboys that playtest get a hold of a fav, all they have to do is convince fellow playtesters in the gotup to vote one way or another in whch it ckews the process in one direction or another!

Posted by: spike1138 on 1/18/2013 12:03:11 PM
@spike1138: If I was going to complain about anything it would be the playtesting. There are so many rules issues with powers/etc. The most recent Player's Guide had to completely redo how keywords at the beginning of the game work. Why wasn't this issue caught in playtesting?

Posted by: Nightwing on 1/18/2013 11:37:29 AM
I love the powers on Hannibal King, choosing which stats you want should be awesome. I really like special powers that give players a tactical decision or choice to make rather than leaving your tactics to the mercy of the dial. I just wish the standard and Prime versions were swapped over as with King being a movie character too i kind of want him more regardless of powers (as I've heard of him, I'm not a Marvel horror fan)

@ Spike1138 I agree with you mostly and fully understand the finantial reasons (Certainly there is no need for the tone in some of the posts you may read. I actually like being able to get an R E V of a character between the Counter top display, Main set and Fast Forces. However even I would moan about the Drake/King reuse. On Banner/Pym it worked as they had different heads, Same for SOG Question or Hollywood/Wonder Man. However these two are part of the same keyworded team are in the same set and have the same face. That just looks a bit silly in my view and is perhaps the ONLY situation where I feel sculpt reuse to be a bit lazy (corporately not individually, your designer friends have made a good looking sculpt here Spike!)

Posted by: Mantis Warrior on 1/18/2013 7:39:14 AM
@PassingBy: Thank you for the correction! I have fixed the text. It's too bad -- [1] damage PB isn't as good as [1] damage Incap!

Posted by: The Le on 1/16/2013 3:50:21 PM
@The Le: I know you love Incapcitate, but that's Penetrating/Psychic Blast on Frank Drake.

Posted by: PassingBy on 1/16/2013 3:46:07 PM
Whats really not amazing is how stupid some comments are! You must not realize that they have to keep production costs down by reusing sculpts , hpw do i jnow? i am a playtester and i do most of the reviews you see on the hc website and i work closely with most of the designers (most are my friends) so stop your whinning and enjoy the clix D&$#%#$ b$g!

Posted by: spike1138 on 1/16/2013 9:29:53 AM
A new stealth buster in Spider Girl! Always a welcome edition (except for those that like to use uber stealth teams).

Love that she can be used with the gravity feed AM#201 Spider-Man to great effect.

Posted by: phep on 1/15/2013 11:36:00 PM
Love your sight..you sound silly not knowing who ultimate spider-man i however.

Posted by: Realik on 1/15/2013 5:32:22 PM
@PassingBy

Well that makes more sense. I look forward to trying him out.

Posted by: Top10 on 1/12/2013 8:35:50 AM
@Top10: "His" and "he" refers to Electro, not the values of the other character.

Posted by: PassingBy on 1/11/2013 5:30:03 PM
Arc Lightning seems simple enough to understand. I just don't get the comic accuracy of Electro using the range and damage of another character.
I like the "Travel through the Wires" special power. Another way to offer mobility to the game and maintain comic accuracy.

Posted by: Top10 on 1/11/2013 4:42:41 PM
I do like these monsters. Wish my HorrorClix were compatible and had as clever tricks as these. I still have to convince the other players at my groups to go along with the powers printed on the card rather than base the powers on the color. And the "transforming" abilities are impossible to translate... or were until these new figures offered some new alternatives to the old system.

Oh, and for the record, these Werewolves are different sculps from the HorrorClix ones. These are not as detailed at all.

Posted by: Benjamin on 1/6/2013 2:35:04 PM
This set is introducing some interesting mechanics. I'm very much in favour of the generic monsters that are cropping up (generic bad-guys are an important part of showing how well-hard the heroes are, plus I tend to use my clix as miniatures for the Demon hunters rpg)

Posted by: annoyinglizardvoice on 1/6/2013 9:00:13 AM
*Cough* it's totally different - looks nothing like that sculpt *Cough Cough*

Posted by: Sbd on 1/5/2013 9:45:24 AM
Hmmm... them werewolf sculpts look familiar... (*cough* Horrorclix! *cough* Horrorclix!)

Posted by: MEsch on 1/4/2013 8:25:37 PM
I'm kind of digging the new game mechanic where the figure starts on a lower click and can power up to a higher click with better stats and powers under the right conditions. It also the least confusing game mechanic released thus far. ;-)

Posted by: phep on 1/3/2013 7:36:54 PM
PassingBy: I AM NOT DUNK. I'm jusht sober impared.

Posted by: The Le on 1/2/2013 4:19:55 PM
Think someone is coming off a New Year's hangover with all the typing issues above, but the only thing I'm going to mention is it's Invulnerability, not Impervious.

Posted by: PassingBy on 1/2/2013 4:08:35 PM
Whats not amazing is that they are still using the same figure for multiple characters and the same figure to represent the same character just with different stats. Still even though the actual figures are not to the same standard as shown on these boards they have improved, so not all bad. I do however think that far too many sets are coming out in a year. I used to buy every set but now have to pick and chose which sets to have. I will not be buying this set as I want the next X-Men and Teen Titans set.

Posted by: Exar on 12/29/2012 3:31:47 PM
Keep in mind that they don't start off like that. Vampire starts off on click 2 while Dracula starts off on click 4. They can click upward to click 1, but you'll need to get them there.

Posted by: PassingBy on 12/28/2012 5:57:12 PM
I'm loving me some Dracula. These vampire characters are some of the most inventive and fun dials I've seen for quite some time. Nice job designers, a must have!

Posted by: Webslinger14 on 12/28/2012 1:32:28 PM
I just read an article about the last issue of Amazing Spider-Man. I must say it puts a bit of a damper on this Heroclix set's release. :-(

Of the 3 Mighty Morphin' Pow...er... Spider-Man I think the 1b will be the one I might use the most.

Posted by: phep on 12/26/2012 11:35:26 PM
I'm a little worried about an over-saturation of Spider-Man pieces. This one's Morph trait has THREE different options: Changing Frequencies, Identity Crisis (which I assume will bring in his identities which led to the Slingers), and Spider-Armor.

We can see there will be 3 pieces with the Changing Frequencies trait and the Identity Crisis has the potential of 4 more. There will obviously be a regular red & blue and most likely a black suit. The Spider-Armor has at least 2 which come to mind: the silver and black suit and the Iron Spider suit.

Posted by: lordoracle on 12/23/2012 12:49:40 PM
This looks awesome. the only issue i have is i can take or leave the sub themes so i may just get my fill from what looks to be the greatest line up in a gravity feed to date, then pick up a few singles... though i guess thats not really an issue for me as much as it is for wizkids.
still i know a lot of peeps who are gonna more than make up for my lack of spending just to hunt down all those monsters

Posted by: Ste on 12/17/2012 1:56:50 AM
This is a good clix year Im very pleased that both my favorite heroes got a set for them, spidey and bats. I know web of spider-man already exists but a new modern age spider set is needed after all he's marvel's top seller as is batman for dc. The sculpt for 2099 spider looks fantastic i hope he's really good! And I hope we get another spider-man with the super senses evade on a 4-6 like in web of spider-man cauz thats how ol web head should be.

Posted by: Saber King of Knights on 12/6/2012 1:21:10 PM
I always find Spidey themed matches most fun. Any additional villains are always welcome. I am hoping for a Sandman since I did not pull the last one.
Shocker is great to see!!!

Posted by: Top10 on 12/5/2012 9:16:11 AM
Glad they are remaking some of the villains, love their old costumes.

Posted by: aigalan on 12/3/2012 12:56:11 PM
Looks like a new Rhino in the top right of that foil packaging on page 4 and electro would be my guess for the bottom right. As long as these figs have new points values with new options i'm happy for more spidey. It's been a couple of years and the horror sub-theme may be good.

Posted by: Mantis Warrior on 12/2/2012 12:55:44 PM
Great, more of the packaging that destroys the cards. Way to go WizKids!!!

Posted by: Really... on 12/1/2012 9:52:13 PM
This is Ultimate Spiderman, the black kid, not Peter Parker. Good book.

Posted by: Preacher13 on 12/1/2012 9:41:36 AM
We don't need a new Shocker - I always thought the old one was at the perfect power level for the character, and the sculpt was fine.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 12/1/2012 1:07:58 AM
I want to see the Morbius figure.

Posted by: eGGtheGreat on 11/30/2012 4:36:34 PM
I'm expecting tons of Mysticals and Monsters. :)

Posted by: JLDark9 on 11/25/2012 2:19:42 AM
At least its an easy spidey fig to get Dane.

Posted by: Hulksmash35674 on 11/20/2012 10:07:35 PM
Hooray. Does Wizkids remember that they just had a Spiderman series two years ago? The only decent fig in that was Red Hulk, if you ask me.

Posted by: Dane on 11/17/2012 6:52:57 AM
More Spidermen...
My joy is unbridled and my enthusiasm untamed. :|

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 11/14/2012 8:11:34 PM
Looking forward to another Blade Heroclix, and vampire minions to go alongside The Justice League Dark Clix. Also hoping this means we'll see another Horroclix set produced soon. I've recently discovered the older game and have fallen in love with it. Would like to see it truly be compatiable with Heroclix since the horror genre was a big part of comic book history.

Posted by: Fat Daddy on 10/29/2012 8:41:51 PM
I know me and my friend, Blue Hope, are looking forward to this set. He's a web-head nut and a monster team builder, and Spiderman has been good to me.

Posted by: The Yellow Fear on 10/25/2012 6:33:30 PM
doesn't the spiderman clix look exactly the same as infinity clix? ( the fist spiderman heroclix) I'll be a bit disappointed if that really is the same model. Also I'm really hoping for a MAN-Spider Clix

Posted by: RDG4ME on 10/14/2012 11:19:34 AM
Does this mean Horror pix is coming back? Yeeeeaaaaaahhhhhh!

Posted by: Fat Daddy on 10/13/2012 6:40:19 AM
I would not be surprised if there may be vampire X-men as chases.

Posted by: JB on 10/10/2012 6:47:31 AM
Tomb Of Dracula and Werewolf By Night were both great comics-they gave us Blade and Moonknight.

Posted by: JB on 10/10/2012 6:45:30 AM
Yeah there might be more Midnight Sons in this set! At the very least they'll have foes to fight with!

Posted by: phep on 10/9/2012 7:51:24 PM
A new Hobgoblin? How can I possibly replace my Infinity Challenge Vet? He is so awesome!!

Posted by: Mantis Warrior on 10/9/2012 9:16:51 AM
Finally, Werewolf by Night and Dracula!
