10-08-2012: Not much is known about the Iron Man 3 HeroClix set at this point. Here's what we have:

•Available as a Standaline Gravity Feed, Mini Game, and 6-Figure Starter Set
•Over 40 figures
•Based on the Iron Man movie series
•March 2013

I have to admit, I was rather disappointed with the set. The MK's were awesome, but it just feels, like WK dropped the ball on this one. My problem wasn't what was in the set, it's what WASN'T in the set! Really think they should have done like what they did w/the Avengers set and made some of the characters like Whiplash, Justin Hammer and the Hammeroids, and Obadiah Stane.

Again, good set, could have been WAY better!

Rather disappointed with WK/NECA on this one.

The set turns out to be 13 pieces plus at least one chase. So, even if you factor in the 10 addition figures from combining the Starter and Mini-Game (which is just reusing 4 of the starter's pieces) and even adding on the FCBD/Maquee figure (same piece with different box like the Thor for the Avengers movie) you have 26 figures, not the advertised 40.

Also, I thought it sucked that they have the new 2013 PAC done but they are only including it in 2 of the 4 2013 Starters (I'm not counting the reprint of the LotR Campaign set because there's no telling what they're doing with it).

I'll be interested to see what they do.
Hopefully they'll add stuff from the earlier films (Whiplash, the Hammer drones etc) and from the animated tie-ins (the Technovore, the Punisher etc).

Iron man is the golden (and red) boy that we'll all never tire of, yes maybe we've had one to many thors and batmen but iron man and his tendency to have a different suit for every task is pure clix gold (and red). seriously you could have him appear twice in every marvel set and it'd still keep me coming back for more.

with all this talk of switch clix they really need to start packing each iron man with a spare drone dial he can swap out for... i just wanna play a game where tony wheels out his whole wardrobe

I'm hoping for some more of the different armors from the comics, like the Hydro Amor, Phoenixbuster, etc.

40 figures? They'll probably draw from all 3 movies for this set. I'm hoping for some Hammer Drones with different weapons configurations!

I knew they were going to make this set. The fact that there were so few Iron Man characters in the avengers set, along with the upcoming movie tipped me off. I want to get a least a whole gravity feed of this. I love Iron Man!
