HeroClix has been around for over 10 years, with it's humble roots as a "spinoff" of Mage Knight. It's gone through 3 different owners (Wizkids itself, Topps, and NECA), but has survived longer than any of its competitors (D&D Minis and Monsterpocalypse).
A lot's happened in the last decade for HeroClix (and Wizkids), so let's take a look at some of them!
1. ADVENTURE PACK
Wizkids used to sell Adventure Packs to go with HeroClix! These packs consisted of maps and 3-D objects, including a Heavy-Object-Dumpster that never gets destroyed, and a light-object-street-light that also gives the target an action token, and a light desk that would give you +1 to your defense. There were 2 packs available: the indoor pack and outdoor pack.
2. PLASTIC MAN MAILBOX
Plastic Man is the only HeroClix figure that started out as an object! The mailbox object was originally found in the HeroClix Outdoor Adventure Pack; this same object was later repainted as a Plastic Man figure!
(Plastic Man, pictured below, was a 2003 convention exclusive)
