11. The Tick
Not content with a mere "top 10" list like those other websites, we're taking the dial up to 11 (see what I did there?). So who's the last one on our list? The Tick!
The selection would be an easy one in my opinion.
#1: The Tick
This is a no brainer. At the time of publication, The Tick was a fresh face in the comic book world. Part Superman, part murdock from the A-Team, The Tick had a comedic take on super-heroes. Throughout the series we learned that he was Nigh-Invulnerable, unable to throw rocks into outer-space, and yes, he has pockets. I can just imagine his special power now...
Spoon!: The Tick can be given an action when it has two action tokens on it. If it does, do not give an action token to The Tick after the action resolves; instead, roll one d6. On a result of 1-3, The Tick takes 1 unavoidable damage. At the end of your turn, do not remove action tokens from The Tick if he used Spoon! during this turn.
#2: Man Eating Cow
Angus MacGuire, a private investigator, recruited the Tick to expose some evil men, but they were captured by Chairface Capone. Tied up and lowered into a pit of Alligators and Man Eating Cows, surely there was no escape, right? Not to worry because the gators ate the Cows and the two managed to escape. As Angus said: "Little did Chairface know that the alligator is the cow's natural-born enemy!"
The one surviving Man Eating Cow went loose into the city -- he later joined forces with The Tick on a subway train and ate a villain. BEWARE THE MAN EATING COW!!
#3: Arthur
Arthur's always been like Dr. Who's sidekick -- the guy who represents the every day folk trying to follow a super-powered being. He's not a super-hero, but he wants to be. He's armed with special bunny suit, but he's got no idea how to use it. On one hand he's the voice of reason for the Tick, on the other hand he's way out of his element and he knows it.
So, what 3 characters would you like to see in Battle Pack?
