Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 12/14/2011 4:53:27 PM
well, what did everybody pull?

Posted by: imnotbatman on 12/14/2011 2:12:58 PM

Posted by: white phoenix of the crown on 12/13/2011 6:03:42 PM
davhuit,

His collector # is covered up but he looks to be a super rare.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 12/13/2011 12:30:01 PM
What is the rarity of the Spiderman?
Orange Tab?

Posted by: davhuit on 12/13/2011 11:58:30 AM
@ bp29

i thought the A.I. marine hulk was the brick figure thus not being an le??

Posted by: elliott weights on 12/13/2011 10:10:18 AM
I'm also confused by the "free" double power action...

Posted by: Preacher13 on 12/13/2011 9:22:02 AM
hehe, I just noticed my awful Medusa unique from Clobbering Time may have a use soon ;) Great sculpt, but that character falls down a lot.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 12/13/2011 8:29:03 AM
Black Bolt's Double Power Action...

Why does it say "as a Free Action"? Once a Double Power Action is declared, you cannot do any other kinds of actions, so I don't understand why it doesn't just say "...or you can give him a double power action in which case his damage becomes his printed damage value instead of 1."

Is there something I'm missing here? What benefit is there to making this action you just paid two action tokens for "free"?

This brings up a basic rules question. Can you mind control somebody and activate a double power action?

Posted by: Kragnorak on 12/13/2011 8:24:05 AM
@elliot weights there are 5 le figs,blackbolt{skrull},daredevil{original costume},magor glenn talbot,bruce banner,A.I.Marine hulk.

Posted by: bp29 on 12/12/2011 5:31:06 PM
nice black bolt. he is ranged combat expert he is definitly worth 193 points. he also is super rare though

Posted by: bp29 on 12/12/2011 5:25:05 PM
with this hulk your paying for that lovely 4 damage all round dial and power cosmic. will he boss sealed? I dont think so one good psycic blast and hes done for. plenty of ways to deal with him, tk him into hindering slow him down to name one. world beater hulk should have been an le but we didnt get one!

on that note how are there only 4 le figs?

Posted by: elliott weights on 12/12/2011 8:06:01 AM
@Sir Christopher, "Psss Wizkids "Weakend" is not a word of course "Weakened" is a word - Opps. Start the Errata today because your "Quality Control Team" Can't figuare out how to use spell check"

I beat you to the punch on that one ;)

This reminds me, since they are putting old sculpts into Fast Forces thingies, I hope they decide to include a cosmic pack with Shadow Demons and "Thudnderers of Qward"! My Anti-Monitor is lonely!

Posted by: Kragnorak on 12/11/2011 7:30:05 PM
and hulked out thor

Posted by: heroclix fan on 12/11/2011 6:17:39 PM
spoiler

chasaes are hulklops/cyclops, wolverage/wolverine, icehulk/iceman, winter hulk/captain america, and hulkmariner/namor

Posted by: bio on 12/11/2011 4:13:58 PM
@ Sir Christopher - Just wondering if you have any of these figs you mentioned below or of you have any clix that you consider "broken", if so what are they... thanks :-)-

Posted by: Ianator on 12/11/2011 3:31:16 PM
@Spider-Man 071 Cosmic Hulk -- Cosmic Spiderman is so broken, as is the sue storm chase and the Capt America that ignores Hindering terrain for targeting purposes. When Thor Frog Looses on of his lines of fire are blocked to him ability to Caps ability. It just wrong. Thor frog is under water. Have you ever tried to throw a frisbe at an lake. Unless it is less then 10 feat (2 spaces) it will skip off the lake due to physics. Even if it goes into the water the drag of Water slow it down so much it would do little damage. Water slows bullets down enough that you can actually see them or the effect of them moving.

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 12/11/2011 12:29:14 PM
@Le Do u even read comics? Lol, u never know half the characters u post up here. I didn't read the storyline with Cosmic Hulk but I saw the advertisement about it.

Posted by: geminimerc on 12/11/2011 8:48:43 AM
oh my god cosmic hulk A++++++++ black tarantula c------- and doc samson b++++++++++++ and i am really excited about hulclops hulhmariner and mighty thorr.

Posted by: bp29 on 12/10/2011 3:48:34 PM
Weird, I would think cosmic hulk would be even more powerful than cosmic spidey... Still I think its a heck of a figure!

Posted by: Spider-Man 071 on 12/10/2011 10:17:28 AM
I think there's about 5 or 6. Supposed to be hulked out heroes. I'm hoping the Cosmic hulk is not chase, would def like to pull one.

Posted by: geminimerc on 12/10/2011 9:32:25 AM
this may be a dumb question but does anybody know how many chases (if any) come in a brick?

Posted by: imnotbatman on 12/10/2011 1:42:52 AM
i think i'll get cosmic hulk just to go with my cosmic spiderman

Posted by: bio on 12/9/2011 10:13:59 PM
Ianator- "If CH had indomitable and another click of 10/12/19/4 I wouldn't care if he was 400 pts."

You do realize that Power cosmic can't be outwitted and prevents outwhitting of the Piece? I have a feeling that if you get CH and want to play him with an extra click on the back end and take away the power cosmic team for Indomitable your opponents would complain. It make him far weaker that he can suffer from Outwit. you out wit his defence and hulk could take him

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 12/9/2011 8:08:10 PM
Power Cosmic Hulk Weakend Uni-vision - The way this power is written this Hulk has the Sharp Shooter Ability.

Psss Wizkids "Weakend" is not a word of course "Weakened" is a word - Opps. Start the Errata today because your "Quality Control Team" Can't figuare out how to use spell check

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 12/9/2011 7:26:06 PM
If CH had indomitable and another click of 10/12/19/4 I wouldn't care if he was 400 pts. The Hulk doesn't have to have or be Cosmic to get an easy 300 pt. Proper dial... which we are all still waiting for. In fact if he's cosmic doesn't that make him a more formidable fig? Although I like the idea and won't complain having him... The dial seems like it's missing something... So close, yet so far!

Posted by: Ianator on 12/9/2011 5:00:54 PM
Hear, hear, I'm with bgreyloc, I want one in my brick. I think he's a really neat piece, he will be great in a big points game with my other Power Cosmic pieces.

The only thing I would have liked to see on his dial would be physic blast or exploit weakness. I mean for 280 points come on throw me a bone!

Posted by: CosmicGeek on 12/9/2011 3:14:55 PM
haven't read the story yet, but he is an end result of Hulked out heroes. He's awesome. Any cheaper and he's broken. At 280 he has to do the work and he can. Imagine this guy with decent back up. Now, imagine him at 250 with more back up. I just hope I get one in my brick.

Posted by: bgreyloc on 12/9/2011 2:06:08 PM
@ Kragnorak - lol! I like the idea and image... but why did he come to be? I'm diggin' it though :-)-

Posted by: Ianator on 12/9/2011 1:33:35 PM
not worth 280

Posted by: wwh on 12/9/2011 1:24:10 PM
Hulk with the captain universe power. Unimatrix needed recharge so it siphoned? Heroes' powers for future capt universe selectees.

Posted by: ponch75 on 12/9/2011 12:31:59 PM
Now now, be nice. We're all in this Clix-ship together.

Posted by: The Le on 12/9/2011 12:08:17 PM
I'm gonna beat Sir Chris to the punch here. What is "Weakend Uni-Vision"? Is it weakened? Does it only work on the weekend? Does the power cost a small amount of END (Endurance statistic)or weaken END?

More seriously, it seems the Hulks are reversed, with Cosmic Hulk in this set and it looks like Defenders Hulk in the upcoming cosmic set.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 12/9/2011 12:00:15 PM
why did they make mr.burns with a wolverine wig? and #49 is hulkmariner btw

Posted by: jawhorse on 12/7/2011 1:47:33 PM
#49 hulkpool? are there any other hulked out heroes that they didnt make?

Posted by: nixon on 12/6/2011 8:30:53 PM
I have seen icehulk which has a sp that turns him into #103 gsx iceman or the fast forces iceman

Posted by: bio on 12/6/2011 6:23:06 PM
Black Tarantula's special power would be a great one to give Deadpool.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 12/6/2011 2:12:06 PM
Like Black Tarantula with him and the new Dare Devil a hand themed team should become pretty competitive.

Posted by: Spider-Man 071 on 12/6/2011 11:24:11 AM
Why is Robot hulk cosmic?

Posted by: Wazzup on 12/6/2011 9:33:23 AM
@nixon-they havent said what it is but it is a chase.

Posted by: hamhawk9100 on 12/6/2011 8:34:26 AM
does anybody know who #49 in this set is?

so with doc samsom does that mean he has mend control with 0 range?

Posted by: bio on 12/2/2011 8:24:47 PM
@Sir Chris is right but vague,

That is what I said (Krag). Sir Christopher argued that the two actions must be performed together, not separate.

Posted by: Just Keeping This Going Out of Amus on 12/2/2011 10:30:48 AM
Sir christopher,
Immediately before making the attack he may automatically break away and may move up to two squares" is congruent in structure to "If insert condition, then he may walk and may talk" it's the two mays that make them seperate. In other words, with this power you could merely automatically break away, roll to break away and then move (less than)=2 squares, or you could break away without rolling and move up to two squares. As far as I can think of, there is no overly clever way to use this power, thanks to the specificity of the wording

Posted by: Sir Chris is right but vague on 12/1/2011 8:49:24 PM
Ka-Zar's wife Shanna is a redhead, usually depicted wearing a leopard skin one-piece...that sculpt and paint job is the totally-unrelated character from the Frank Cho-drawn mini-series of 2005, who was not even in the mainstream 616-universe. Curious.

@Kragnorak -Comma Dissortation

You actually have it correct. The use of a comma when listing to actions or abilities makes it that they can be done independantly or together. Without the comma the 2nd action becomes dependant of the 1st action to be done for the second action to be done as well.

The notes for my dissortation were actually 99% copy and paste directly for wikapedia when looking up the definions of they use of a Comma and the words AND & MAY.

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 11/30/2011 6:31:29 PM
Shanna- Is it just me or does she look simular to the Sentery figuare Wizkids put out before, Facial wize?

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 11/30/2011 6:20:06 PM
I don't know if they are making a new Ka-Zar, but the Sinister dial will be great with the +1 to hit. But why is it just a savage duo? Where is Zabu in this love triangle? I think I've seen Ka-Zar team with the tiger just as much or more than with Shanna.

Also, we need more funny Savage Land characters besides pale jungle people. Will we see Barbarus?

Posted by: Kragnorak on 11/30/2011 5:03:28 PM
Sir Christopher,

You'r dis, sertation on commas was a,musing; but I disagree in this specific case? A're you sayin' that if I say "The teacher said I may walk and talk" that I am unable to walk unless talken or talk unless walken! But if I say "The teacher said I may walk, and talk" then I am suddenly able to to perform these actions independently or together thanks to the use of a comma? LOL

English is a flawed language. We don't have a word for "and/or" and using "and/or" is awkward on a small card. If we did have such a word, that is the joiner that would have been used in the rule.

this set is just awful. superman was awesome and hulk is supposed to be marvels big force and this set does not reflect that. superman's set by far did a much better job representing the character. this set is garbage

Posted by: lame on 11/30/2011 3:17:57 PM
just found some of the fast force and they are a whole lot better than the hulk set, the leader can mind control two targets from 7 range and takes no damage has 10 attack and a perplex that stops opponents from lowering freindly pieces defense

Posted by: bio on 11/29/2011 11:12:55 PM
i think i'm only going to go to the release since it's only $20 for two packs, these boosters are gonna take a price dive later on so if i do get any i'll wait until then. hopefully the fast forces or gravity feed sets have better dials but i'm not holding my breath.

I'm not sure why there still any argument over how Lunge works:

LUNGE
Cost: 5
Prerequisite: Close Combat Expert or Leap/Climb
Choose a character. When the character is given an action, but
immediately before it makes a close combat attack, it can break
away automatically and move up to 2 squares.

The clarification from the Golden Age Player's Guide:

LUNGE
? To use this feat: (1) Announce the action the character will take,
even if it is not a legal action from its current position, as long as it can include a close combat attack for step 3. (2) Move the
character from its current square to another square up to 2 squares
away. (3) Perform the close combat attack.
? The word ?immediately? appears before the phrase ?before it
makes a close combat attack?.
? The 2 squares of movement is a limitation, not a requirement or
an ability to move more than what the character might normally
be able to move.

so according to the errata a figure with lunge is allowed to move 2 squares before it makes it's close combat attack as long as it meets the prereqs for the feat. Wolverine from this set will be able to do the exact same thing.

Commas: Straightforward lists (he ate ham, eggs and chips) do not need a comma before the final "and", but sometimes it can help the reader (he ate cereal, kippers, bacon, eggs, toast and marmalade, and tea.) The Chicago Manual of Style, and other academic writing guides, require the "serial comma": all lists must have a comma before the "and" prefacing the last item in a series.
Separation of clauses
Commas are often used to separate clauses. In English, a comma is generally used to separate a dependent clause from the independent clause if the dependent clause comes first: After I fed the cat, I brushed my clothes. (Compare this with I brushed my clothes after I fed the cat.) A relative clause takes commas if it is non-restrictive, as in I cut down all the trees, which were over six feet tall. (Without the comma, this would mean that only those trees over six feet tall were cut down.)
Some style guides prescribe that two independent clauses joined by a coordinating conjunction (for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so) must be separated by a comma placed before the conjunction.[6][7] In the following sentences, where the second clause is independent (because it can stand alone as a sentence), the comma is considered by those guides to be necessary:
• Mary walked to the party, but she was unable to walk home.

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 11/28/2011 3:15:26 PM
This gets long so I'm apologising up front and may not be understood by those that slept through College English class.

@Kragnorak
Just where did you get your English degree? Lunge. Immediately before making the attack he MAY automatically break away AND MAY move up to two squares.

Because they did not place a comma between "away and" makes "AND MAY move up to two squares" a dependant clause of "Immediately before making the attack he MAY automatically break away". A dependant clause needs something to happen first. Ex: I can Walk and Talk - Means that I do it at the same time, where -I can walk, and talk are independant stating that I can do either of them.

and: Presents non-contrasting item(s) or idea(s) ("They gamble, and they smoke.") that may be done it the same time
or: Presents an alternative item or idea ("Every day, they gamble or they smoke.") that are done as a choice of one of these items or ideas done independent of the other option(s)

may: Is used in the first person to express that future actions are being considered. May can indicate presently given permission and presently given mild permission, respectively, for present or future actions: "You may go now”
can: Is used to express ability. "I can speak English" means "I am able to speak English”. Can is also used to express that some state of affairs is presently possible, without referring to the ability of a person to do something
Informally, can is frequently used to mean may in the sense of permission: "You can go now."
Can is only used in a few situations in the perfect aspect

Commas: Straightforward lists (he ate ham, eggs and chips) do not need a comma before the final "and", but sometimes it can help the reader (he ate cereal, kippers, bacon, eggs, toast and marmalade, and tea.) So now we have a common figure that is really only useful if you manage to pull the BibtB figure. 50 points for a 4 click clix, yuck.

I don't really understand what the logic here is. If you are going to make a generic for the Brick figure, go with the Superman Robot model.

Oh and Hulked Out Heroes Chases - No Thank You. Overall a disappointing set.

Posted by: Samaritan on 11/28/2011 1:10:37 PM
@Sir Christopher,

You are wrong about Lunge. Immediately before making the attack he MAY automatically break away AND MAY move up to two squares.

Therefore a player may choose to skip the break away part (for instance if the character is not based) AND may still move up to two squares. The only way this could be more clear is if they had used AND/OR instead of AND; this nitpicking about the difference between MAY and CAN is something I disagree with. If the rules say you MAY do something, then you CAN do it, otherwise the rules would be lying o_O

@Fife Dog I agree Spidey in Wolvie are Marvel's top sellers. I don't mind having one in each set. In this case they absolutly have to have these two guys otherwise the New Fantastic 4 would be incomplete. Sense this is a hulk set they threw in Joe Fixit so the must have thought we may as well do the New FF so they did.

Posted by: Spider-Man 071 on 11/27/2011 12:31:44 PM
Spiderman has been in every set except for Giant Size X-Men and Captain America, which are the last two sets. Wolverine has been in every set except for Avengers, Secret Invasion, and Hammer of Thor. Both characters are the staple for the brand and have been treated fairly lately. LET IT GO!! Besides, I would rather collect all four from the same set oppose to trying from multiple sets. I really can't argue about the choices Marvel clixs has made since Avengers. I think every set should have a Spiderman and a Wolverine. What does two figures matter in a set if they have 50 plus other new ones. They help attract new players which builds the brand. Those two characters can fit any theme.

peterparker@ - Spider man
A Giant is not considered at a different elivation just becuase they are a giant. Spiderman's "Surprise! I'm Under You" does not come into play against giants unless They are actually on elivated terrain. Im not a big fan of the rule of if they are 2 levels above/below you they can not be targeted at range. I think that there should be a modifier instead.Maybe halfthe range like Soaring used to be. Ah soaring. Putting Dr fate on soaring to use Prob on anyone and not having to worry much about being shot at. Those were fun times.

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 11/23/2011 10:00:31 AM
This spidey is great. The only question I have is if his ability to add +1 to his attack and damage values applies to characters that have great size, because if you think about it great size gives that character the ability to shoot over other characters and higher elevations. So if spiderman was making a close combat attack against someone say like imperiex for example I could see how that ability could be applied since he is at a higher elevation. Other than that I just love spiderman and this click is amazing for only being at 90 points.

Spider-Man 071 @ It is the literal interputation of how the sentence is written. not what they mean. How would on automatically break away from No One? The "Automaticlly" part of the statement become an unfullfillable requirement since the character is not in the situation to need to roll for breakaway. It is like trying to use trickshot. It can not be used if you are based to shoot someone 2 spaces away. The judges ruled the use of the Feat that way because Wizkids did not want to admit that they made yet another mistake on a Feat. The Point is that the power is not worded correctly How the power should have been worded is "Wolverine CAN break away automatically and charge up to two spaces, ignoring hindering terrain and then do an attack as a free action." The use of the word CAN makes it as an option for the power. If wizkids wanted it to be used as their judges have determined it to be used they should have just worded it "character can use HSS to move up to 2 spaces, but may not move after the attack concludes" It seems that Wizkids needs to look up what the definitions of may and can.

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 11/21/2011 3:13:22 PM
@Sir Christopher really is that your interpratation? Lunge reads the same way as Wolvie's power and I've used Lunge in tournaments to move two squares and attack without being based. I guess we'll have to see what tournament judges have to say. Wolvie's power may have been a miswording on WizKids end, hopefully they'll clarify it.

Posted by: Spider-Man 071 on 11/21/2011 2:00:49 PM
Wolverine - Lunge “When Wolverine is given a close combat action, immediately before making the attack he may automatically breakaway and move up to 2 squares.” I do not know why wizkids can't better word this power, just like with the Feat card of the same name. This does not allow Wolverine to just move 2 spaces and attack as if he has HSS at 2. What it literally states is that "before making the attack he may automatically breakaway and move up to 2 squares". Literally the character would have to be in the situation that they could breakaway(AKA being Based) to use the power. You can not automatically do and action that a piece is not on the situation do do to start with. You can not automaticlly Regen if your character does not have Regen on his dial or it has been Outwitted. This is not a sort range HSS. Quit simplily. The character needs to be based to use "Lunge"

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 11/21/2011 1:49:03 PM
So, I gather this version of the FF (Ghost Rider, Mr. Fixit, Spidey, Wolvie) are from around 1990-1993 so the characters should be Experienced and not super-buff.

That makes me think this Wolverine is about right. Also, before dissing Lunge notice that he automatically breaks away!

Man-Beast - Not familar with the character. The Abilities look neat. Glad he is not a SR. A were-wolf type character with range seems rather strange, but looks can be deceiving. Kind of like the long run of 3 damage. Makes him playable against characters that have resistant defenses. Would have liked to see Emotional Corruption Not have him take damage unless that character was over 150 Pts. They should come up with a Feat Card that would allow mind controlers to not take feedback damage unless the character mindcontrolled is 150 Pts, or 2 clicks for 300 Pts and 3 clicks for 450 Pts, etc.

@Kragnorak - Manthing.
The 100 pt limit is nice but In the comics Spiderman(which sometimes can be above 100 pts has been "scared" of Mr Fear and Psyco man has no restrictions that I recall on his fear power. Purhaps if the characters base power is over 100 they get a roll, Like IMpervious to see if the attack goes through. That would work with the comic adaption, not the Movie. The movie did not do the character justice.

Posted by: bp29 on 11/15/2011 3:14:57 PM
I like the Man-Thing idea, but I suspect that only characters below 100 points would be afraid of him. But it might be fun to have characters within 3 squares of him roll to see if they are afeard.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 11/15/2011 8:54:53 AM
@bp29 - Is it one per brick or one per case?

Also, has individual case distribution for this set even been determined yet? I can't see getting 7-8 SRs in a case when there are only (presumably) 9 in the set. Just wondering.

Posted by: Josh on 11/15/2011 7:26:07 AM
We need a new Man-thing. One with a Penatrating damage attack that can't be perplex down below 1. "Who ever knows fear burns at the Man-Thing's touch." They could just give him a Trait that he can not have his combat values reduce to below 1 by Perplex or any game effect or that the damage can not be reduce below 1. Probibly the later. And give him a long dial. Id love to grabs a Superman with that character.

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 11/14/2011 8:08:29 PM
Joe Fixit. I like the piece. Good point cost and a nice power Mid to Late dial. Well balanced for the points. Not overly hard to hit late dial but can still deal out the damage. Stun throw is nicely worded. He doesn't have to do damage just hit. I would rule that even if a person with Imperv gets hit they take the token as Imper rolls ignores the damage not the attack. Nicely worded Wizkids

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 11/14/2011 7:44:17 PM
I like that A-Bomb is the Abomination sculpt with a different head and basing. This is much better than the usual repaints that are meant to be different characters like the Hellions.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 11/14/2011 4:12:38 PM
@Sir Christopher,

I have to say that I like what they are doing with the alter egos much more than when we would get LEs entitled "Bruce Banner" that didn't look any different.

This is the first time that they are making the alter ego clix work across different sets and it is definitely a strategy to make us look forward to upcoming releases. I kind of dig it actually. I was playing Norman Osborn at a brick & mortar the other day and I was pleased to be able to AE to the Green Goblin. I understand that people find this frustrating if they don't have all the clix but WizKids are trying to add value to their Super-Rares.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 11/14/2011 4:11:06 PM
Why does Wizkids make an alter ego A SR? I wish they would stop doing this. It limits the playability of The human piece. Without A-bomb you are spending points on an Ok character with 2 clicks of perplex and a medium to low Def value and a Duo team ability with a wildcard being one of the teams, which is redundant.

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 11/13/2011 1:40:22 PM
it is not that I overthink the situation. It is more that as a judge I have to deal with Players interupting the rules. Itr seems that Wizkids forgets basic English practices(use of Commas, The adding of and/or to a power, Etc) and is vague on their explanations of how Special Powers work. Prime example Crown Prince of Crime states they player that causes his dial to reach KO gets the token. A seperate sentence states you can not push hime to KO and get the token. Literal interputation is IF he KOs due to a Critical Miss or splash damage from the player controling him, That player get the token. Also with the Vault feat, I beleive, It states that the character automatically breaks away and moves 2. Logically the character would have to be in the possition where the could breakaway to auto break away. You can't auto break away if you are not based. That is not how everyone plays this card though

Posted by: geminimerc on 11/13/2011 1:34:14 PM
Actually after giving some thought that Punisher may not be so bad. The strategy is basically swapping in another Punisher so he lands on his best clixs for each dial. The M16 punisher is strong in the beggining with his psychic blast and on is second clix he picks up some running shot (so it may be good to push him.)Then when the opportunity arises u can swap him out for the pistol punisher for his blades claws and charge or the sniper for his RCE. It depends on the situation close or ranged combat. While the early dials for the pistol and sniper suck, the late dials are great! U just have to wait for the M16 punisher to take damage then swap weapons. For 65 points this punisher could be very good!

Posted by: Spider-Man 071 on 11/13/2011 11:10:39 AM
@ sir Christopher n kragnarok. Think you guys overthink it. Took it as being like an Alter Ego or even like Beast Boy. Punisher just switching weapons, that's all

Posted by: Ianator on 11/10/2011 11:45:00 AM
It does seem redundant to have a character with the wildcard Team ability have another team ability. I never liked this dual team ability idea. I can see where this can cause problems as a character with the wildcard Team ability is not suppose to be able to Change team abilities during the opponents turn that this could be an arguement. If Spidey is copying Mystics and gets KOd sue storm should not be able to use the FF team ability as Spidey gets KOd before he can switch to the FF ability. After Spidey is KOd(thus removed from the board)the attacker takes 1 click Mystic damage after the attack resolves. Spidy is no longer there to activate the FF team ability, Thus it can not be used.

Well I don't see a problem with him at all. Sure he has the fantastic 4 TA and if say im running a mix team (no theme at all) with like batman. not only will he have the fantastic 4 but he can be hiding. And the current FF spidey is white. this is based on the comic when he made the "new" fantastic 4 with ghost rider, Joe fixit (the hulk) and Wolverine.

Posted by: Jer on 11/8/2011 5:40:53 AM
I agree, the f4 keyword was enough. I would have cut 5 to 10 points off and left the f4 team ability off.

Posted by: joe on 11/7/2011 10:32:23 PM
My problems with the Spidey are aesthetic. My favorite spidey poses are the Infinity Challenge ones and the Sinister Black-suit Spidey. I am getting tired of Spider-on-a-wall as it looks strange in certain environments such as out-of-doors.

So this one has the Fantastic Four keyword which is cool. But why would he ever need the Fantastic Four team symbol AND the Spider-Man team symbol? The FF symbol is useless unless there are other FF members right? And if there were other FF members then he can copy their symbol. I guess the only reason is that you can form a Marvel Knights team of all Spider-Man team symbol guys and have them all copy his FF symbol. Seems like a silly thing to spend game design points on because they can't share a keyword with him unless they are reporters :b

Finally, I thought the FF Spidey wears white? I don't know, I haven't read those comics.

@Green Scar89 Agreed my friend :D this Spidey is a must have!

Whoot! Another Spider-Man can't wait to put this guy on my FF team. I really like his white powers esspecially his movement ability! His damage ability is also a nice support power!

Posted by: Spider-Man071 on 11/7/2011 5:57:51 PM
Wow, Sir Christopher is correct. First of all, it seems to me the intent is to replace Punisher with one from off the board.

BUT, if I read the rule literally: "replace him with any character (with this trait but a different collector's number) on the same click number." ...

See what I did there? Since there are no commas, it depends upon how you interpret that sentence. The way I just interpreted it you would need another Punisher to be on the board and they would BOTH have to be on Click #4 to be swapped. Since that is a highly unlikely event I would use that as an argument to keep the rules from being interpreted that way.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 11/6/2011 10:02:38 PM
gemininerc: your responce still does not answer the question. Does this puniocsher come from your team or outside of your team build. It also does not address if the Punisher comes from with in the game does that punisher "heal up" to the level the the Punisher using Weapons Swap: Punisher is at. The logic would be that you would have the Punishers on the side and swap them like you do a alter ego piece. They Should have placed a limit of One Punisher per team, regardless of the number. Most venues I play at envoke the rule of no duplicate characters except those that are grunts or self duplicating(EX: Street Thug or Madrox) Because these Punishers all have a different # you could be running 3 punishers on one team. I can see players arguing the wording on the power

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 11/6/2011 1:08:28 PM
I think Ghost Rider sucks, cept for the TA's. RS with a 4 range???

Posted by: Owlman166 on 11/5/2011 10:07:15 AM
the punisher with the sniper rifle is possibly the worst of a 3. very disappointing.

Posted by: 2517582 on 11/4/2011 5:27:34 PM
@sir Christopher, it states that whatever Punisher u swap him with starts at the same click number as the one u replaced.

Posted by: gemininerc on 11/4/2011 11:05:05 AM
These digital sculpts really suck! They do not fix the size comparrison issues. Superman #001 was tiny as well as Lobo. Look how big Project Superman is next to #001 Superman and Lobo.

Why does the Punishers face look like it's melting? What a bunch of garbage!

Posted by: Tony Antoniuk on 11/3/2011 8:39:50 PM
Punisher - Weapons Swap: Punisher

Inquiry - If this power is used doe the character come from somewhere on the board or from off the board? Does the replacement character have to actually be on the same click # or do they get moved to the click number? Since this is a Trait if the character comes from on the board and the dail is adjusted to the attacker's click I see that it will be tough to KO the Punisher. Unless you can do it in one turn. EX I bring up one of my Punishers(having 2 or more on my team) and he gets hit down to his last click. On my turn I have one of my other Punishers on click number 1 do a Ranged Combat Action and then switch places and the first Punisher gets healed up to his 1st click? If they both have to be on the same click when the action resolves this trait will be hard to use once one of them take damage. The wording is rather vague on this power.

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 11/3/2011 4:41:38 PM
I think the #11 Punisher needs to have a special white power of running shot and stealth on his opening clix. That would represent him being able to get the first shot off at some crook before hes spotted. While the AV looks goods on his dial I cannot say I will use him much after the sealed event. Actually none of these 4 characters (2-Punisher, Ghost Rider, A. Cho) impress me at all. GRs special power while its good, his defense is realy low. The Fantastic Forces one is alot better.

I just hope they start showing us some of the "Power" characters from the set. Besides having to have this set for the IG tourneys. I could see myself skipping much of it to wait on Galactic Guardians and Mighty Avengers

Posted by: Nightwing-fan on 11/3/2011 10:32:50 AM
Is it me or should Punisher #10 be wielding a knife prominently as well as a pistol? I mean, the whole theme is weapon swapping and the dial has Close Combat Expert and Blades.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 11/3/2011 8:11:58 AM
Fanofsteel, I believe all the new clix are 3D modelled these days to make sure we don't get the wonky height differences that happened in the Secret Invasion set. You can tell when you get a figure that the digitally painted face is shown on the card which is more detailed than what you hold in your hand.

Cool its great to see a Ghost Rider for modern age. Last GR we had was Fantastic Forces! So.... YEAH GHOST RIDER!!!

Posted by: Spider-Man 071 on 11/1/2011 3:07:57 PM
I think all the pics of sculpts are computer images these days, rather than actual photos of the figures.

Posted by: dirkzorn on 11/1/2011 7:29:47 AM
Is it just me or does that image of the Punisher look like it's computer-generated or something?

Posted by: Fanofsteel on 11/1/2011 5:33:51 AM
@Japete61 & dittobeetle. There have been internet spoilers showing a Frank with a sniper rifle and (I think) an assault rifle, but there are supposed to be three. I love the "morph" mechanic, and the change for Swap to a Ranged Attack action is nothing but pure awesome. Frank snipes. Frank gets based. Frank shoots you in the face and switches to a Close Combat version. Very cool.
And Ghost Rider is on my must-have list....

Posted by: dairoka on 11/1/2011 4:51:19 AM
the ghost rider looks really cool. looking forward to him.

Posted by: Green Scar89 on 11/1/2011 4:32:31 AM
even if i wasn't going to play him i'd still get ghost rider for the sculpt

Posted by: joe on 11/1/2011 12:40:47 AM
Ghost Rider off his bike!? It's on!!! I'm excited to see the upcoming Ghost Rider 2 movie still starring Nicolas Cage.

Posted by: Ianator on 11/1/2011 12:18:07 AM
@Japete61 - yes, I hope so. It's a good close combat, charger dial, but this dial is not what I think of when I think of the Punisher. I wonder if there's a ranged combat expert variation. If that's the plan, it's a cool idea.

Posted by: dittobeetle on 10/31/2011 9:44:29 PM
Really like the new Ghost Rider! Excited about the new fantastic four being in this set. Also, looking at Punishers white power makes me think that they are going to have a few different versions of him with different weapons. Anyone else think so?

Posted by: Japete61 on 10/31/2011 7:26:07 PM
Ghost Rider - Awsome sculpt. Who stole his bike. Ghost Rider without a Bike? Come on! Not crazy about the dail and not really backing the Mystic team ability. I know he is mystical But I don't recall characters taking damage from hiting him in the past. The 4 damage up front is nice but I would have preferred 2 damage with Psyic Blast/Exploit Weakness on the First click.

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 10/31/2011 5:57:41 PM
While i like teh Sculpt for Ghost Rider i would perfer a Johnny Blaze one, this one just says Dan Ketch to me.

Posted by: Green Scar89 on 10/25/2011 4:39:37 AM
@dengar69

The last alter ego is an LE, if you look at the clix number on the dail its in the 100s (says 103 on the card), gravity feeds starts in the 200's.

Posted by: Gbert on 10/25/2011 4:13:04 AM
@dr faustin

look at the set number for the other alter ego, its the gravity feed!

Wow, that Red King SP is vicious! I'm so so SO excited for more Planet Hulk pieces. I never thought we'd see more of them.

Anyone think we'll get a Zombie Hulk in this set?

Posted by: Preacher13 on 10/24/2011 6:12:44 PM
There are actually 3 Daredevil Alter Egos if you read the card. One of them is an LE.

Posted by: Dr. Faustin on 10/24/2011 6:57:06 AM
Caiera power would not work on the superpowered side of the alter- egos as they are technically a different character and she could no choose them as they do not start on her team.

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 10/23/2011 2:52:07 PM
It is about time that they did Man-wolf. Still think that they should have done one that was his bezerkself on earth and an LE of his Stargod version. Not overly happy with him being a common as he has not made many appearances in the comics. Also wondering if the player(less than) I don't know why they would do this, Decides to turn off "Stargod, Briefly" would he then be subject to Outwit since the power that gave him Power Cosmic was not activated the power can't be used

Posted by: Sirchristopher on 10/23/2011 2:46:13 PM
@Sneed: That's not a Trait -- that's a damage special power that only shows on the first and last click of life.

Posted by: The Le on 10/23/2011 10:28:02 AM
So why does black Daredevil have a trait that gives him Exploit Weakness when he already has it on most of his dial?

Posted by: Sneed on 10/23/2011 7:59:52 AM
I would like to see a new Doc. Samson in this set.

man wolf is awesome

Posted by: bp29 on 10/21/2011 4:44:35 PM
Stargod--"..AND POSESSES THE POWER COSMIC TEAM ABILITY." This should mean that "Characters using the power cosmic team ability do not take push damge and their powers can't be counterd. This TEAM ABILITY can't be copied by wild cards." This means the only way for him to loose "Stargod" is for him to take damage old school. (hit him hard and fast)

Posted by: Graywolf34b on 10/21/2011 1:07:13 PM
This set definitely has some tricky rules!

Stargod, Briefly: I guess this means that Man-Wolf does not take pushing damage if ALL he does is use this power? I also assume that he will take pushing damage if he combines this power with Running Shot? Finally, this power cannot be outwitted. Is that everything?

Posted by: Kragnorak on 10/20/2011 2:32:09 PM
I agree with white phoenix we need a good Titania!

Posted by: JuhhR on 10/20/2011 10:25:36 AM
dcsii:

Use of Blades/Claws/Fangs replaces the character's printed damage value with the result of a d6 roll; that value is then LOCKED.

Caiera's SP allows the LOCKED damage to be modified by +1 if she is holding an object during a Close Combat Attack in which she uses B/C/F.

Damage range is 2-7 + a possible Critical Hit.

Posted by: Hodak on 10/20/2011 4:57:26 AM
There has to be Titania in this set. An actual good one too. Cmon heroclix people get on this!

Posted by: joe on 10/17/2011 11:29:24 AM
@Kragnorak: It does say "Once per game". At the beginning of the sentence.

Posted by: The Le on 10/17/2011 10:46:30 AM
I guess White Tiger can be resurrected multiple times without further penalty? I don't see a "once per game" clause.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 10/17/2011 9:58:57 AM
@Sir Christopher:
It's not the Alter Ego itself but the transformation that I'm unsure of since the name changes from the one originally chosen at game start.

Posted by: dcsii on 10/17/2011 9:30:07 AM
DCSII

Caiera's Powers would work on Alter egos. I don't see why it would not.

Posted by: Sir Christopher on 10/16/2011 9:51:07 AM
There better be a hulk piece that is comic book accurate in this set , NECA dont let me down!

Posted by: mario on 10/16/2011 6:18:15 AM
Caiera is pretty cool ,but I wonder how that works with Alter Egos. Does it transfer over to the newly named character? Or is that lost and moot, making it a bad selection?

I do believe most people are incorrect on the damage calculation with Caiera as well, in saying that it does 2-7 damage. Object damage is a modification as well as her special power and Blades/Claws/Fangs is a replacement effect. With the rule of replace then modify that means a 4 damage light object attack is 3-8, and a heavy 5 damage is 4-9.

Also be noted that Caiera (139) + Skaar (104) + Bruce Banner (55)= 298

Comments? Disagreements? Answers?

When is the release date for the Hulk set? Has that been released yet?

Posted by: Viking on 10/13/2011 11:10:51 AM
first off the hulk robot kinda has the same sculpt as the IC hulk, so i think that's cool. But i do have a problem with this set because i feel like all of the characters so far are way under powered. Especially when compared to the superman set. aka WHERE IS THE WORLD DESTROYER HULK!!!

Posted by: mike k on 10/13/2011 11:07:02 AM
Galactic Guardians, hm? Interesting. Maybe that Bruce Banner Captain Universe is coming after all...

Posted by: eshuroger on 10/12/2011 9:07:28 PM
Hulk Robot has me hoping for some Eternal pieces soon. I'm pleased as peaches with the whole Infinity Gauntlet thing afoot, but a few more epic pieces always come in handy: Maybe after the Infinity Gauntlet they could do something with the Celestials as big boxed things or some event with the Invisibles or the Endless to give DC something other than Batman and Superman.

Posted by: bobby on 10/12/2011 1:27:26 PM
@ dairoka: Thanks for clarifying... I was wondering if that set symbol was a GF thing or what...

Posted by: Mesch on 10/11/2011 7:12:56 PM
Walkabout Hulk looks like the cheesiest way to keep masterminds alive possible.

All you have to do is hide him out of sight and a powerful MM like Doom can stay alive forever. Limitless Rage can't be countered, and soaking damage from Mastermind does not count as an attack, so neither figure would be harmed. Luckily you'd have to know exactly when to push him to set this up.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 10/11/2011 2:42:36 PM
@mesch The third AE Hulk is supposed to be in the next Galactic set, thus the different Set Symbol on the Banner card. I like the forward-thinking for this. Very neat!

Posted by: dairoka on 10/11/2011 10:42:38 AM
I was also thinking he'd be able to become three characters: one Avengers Hulk, one Defenders Hulk and the Bruce Banner version of Captain Universe. I wasn't betting on Aussie Hulk. Not at all.

Posted by: eshuroger on 10/10/2011 2:52:57 PM
@ Ianator yeah I would like to see a 300 point hulk that could go toe to toe with supes. Maybe a world war hulk? I like the other Hulks so far,but I was expecting something over 200 at least.

Posted by: Spider-Man 071 on 10/10/2011 12:59:51 PM
Hey... where's the THIRD Hulk Bruce Banner AE can morph into???

Posted by: Mesch on 10/10/2011 8:16:37 AM
@kragnorak... Having a zero d value would mean double 2 would do the trick. im not liking this power too much. its going to be a huge pain to deal with

Posted by: 2517582 on 10/9/2011 10:08:58 PM
I like that defense power on the second Hulk, he could be a real terror if someone doesn't hit him hard enough to avoid landing on that last clix. Another cool thing is this Hulk has some range. It ain't much, but we don't see alot of Hulks /w ranged combat. And his white damage power will be great. It's kinda like exploit weakness, but it'll also ignore things like super senses and mastermind. This will definately be a must have.

Posted by: Spider-Man 071 on 10/9/2011 9:17:02 AM
Like the second hulk

Posted by: Hi on 10/9/2011 5:55:33 AM
My 6 yr. old and I was watching the Hulk Movie staring Eric Bana and Jennifer Conelly (for some reason wanted to watch this on DVD as he saw the latest one when he was five and said, I haven't seen this one...) I actually was appreciating the movie more than the first time I watched it. I still like the latest one staring Edward Norton a bit more, but revisiting this 2003 Hulk movie again was enjoyable. Now I want to see a Hulk w/ HSS... make him 300pts. while were at it, to go toe to toe w/ Supes! Strongest one there is right? Don't make Hulk mad!

Posted by: Ianator on 10/8/2011 11:51:57 PM
@kragnorak, the power you are talking about works on anything other than a crit miss. If you noticed, the only time on his dial that he has this power is his last click and his def value is 0 so yes double 2s would hit. Also, they specify crit miss does not count because the power explanation on a stats card supersedes the core rules. Example, web of spider man red suit spidy has supersences but it works on a 4,5, or 6 even tho everyone knows that supersences only works on a 5 or a 6.

Posted by: japete61 on 10/8/2011 10:18:31 PM

Posted by: heroclix fan on 10/8/2011 5:16:34 PM
"Hulk ignores all damage dealt to him unless it is dealt by an attack and the attack roll is doubles, but not a critical miss."

Why would they specify the critical miss part when everybody knows a critical miss always misses? Does Hulk take damage from an attack roll of double 2s, even when it would normally not hit him?

Posted by: Ianator on 10/7/2011 11:51:17 PM
So far with the exception of Banner, everything in this set seems under powered. I mean Hulk should have at least a 12 attack in there somewhere and that Abomination is way underpowered, he is supposed to be able to go toe to toe with the Hulk and this one would have trouble with wolverine or anyone with the x force key word for that matter. But, it's still early, they could still have a really great Hulk (or Abomination) that could take on anyone tucked in this set somewhere... Also, did anyone else notice on Banners stats card that one of the Hulks he can change into has a different set symbol?

I agree with Arcainum, a event-level Hulk thats around 400-500 points would be great to have. I know it sounds like a lot of points but Hulk should be strong enough that he is all you need.

Posted by: japete61 on 9/10/2011 5:20:25 PM
I'm reeeaally hoping for an event-level hulk, like the GSX Apocalypse or Onslaught. Hulk needs a fig that represents his true, world challenging, threat level.

Posted by: Arcainum on 9/9/2011 5:51:15 PM
VWSHARK has a point - these releases are getting confusing! I went to pre-order at Potomac Distribution yesterday (they are great) and almost ordered a "case" of gravity feed display boxes by accident - and I certainly don't need 100 of the same figure!

Perhaps where you have the sets and release dates (or coming soon) there could be some clarification. like:

Incredible Hulk (booster set, Fast Forces, Gravity Feed): Dec 9, 2011

Check boxes for each category would be even better.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 9/9/2011 2:50:25 PM
@VWSHARK: Check out page 1 -- the Hulk set will have boosters, a brick figure, gravity feed, and a starter. Sounds like you are just fine.

As for Thanos, that's not a "set" -- that will be part of a 6-month tournament scene, as part of a big promotion.

Posted by: The Le on 9/9/2011 8:18:43 AM
hey guys,

where can i findout about what future sets will be gravity feed, fast forces or bricks?

i thought the hulks would be a full brick set, then i saw this pick of a gravity feed box and fast force. the guy i order through took my money as if the set was a full brick.

and what will the thanos set be?

just trying to get my preorders lined up so i know what im about to spend and if i need to find another more informed retailer.

Posted by: VWSHARK on 9/9/2011 8:15:59 AM
You mentioned November above the GF poster. According to a retail owner on another site. The GF set is to come out the last week in November. December 7th is the release date (at the moment) for the regular set and the FF set.

But this is the best picture I have seen of the FF set. Is the bottom two figus suppose to be General Ross and a solder? I do agree She Hulk looks great. I also like the sculpt for the Hulk himself. Hopefully both of them have Avengers as keywords and Hulk also has Defenders keyword on their cards.

Man the Hulk and Shulkie figs look great :-)

Deadpool-Hulk. Nuff Said!

Posted by: Danzig01 on 9/4/2011 5:37:19 AM
Spider-Hulk probably won't get done Axel, as it existed in the web of spider-man set. I'm hyped for a new abomination, hopefully we will get a a-bomb as well

Posted by: The Viking on 9/3/2011 11:12:31 AM
hm... interesting, I'll be looking forward to a Hulked out Spider Man

Posted by: Axel Dark on 9/3/2011 10:14:00 AM
i think wizkids should make a new ghost rider they have not made a ghost rider in a while and he has a new movie coming out

Posted by: sgtfury on 9/2/2011 2:20:16 PM
I'm really hoping for a hulk thor like in the comics with as much detail and a hulk pool as a super rare because it will be the most powerful clix ever and i think this set could really be brilliant as long as they balance it with new clix not just old repaints. But cant wait.

Posted by: Spectacular-Spidey on 8/30/2011 9:30:45 AM
I figure either hulked out heroes will be common-SR and they'll replace regular heroes in the set (I hope, cuz I'm a huge fan.), or they will be like white lantern chases, which most people would prefer would guess.

Posted by: apov1 on 8/29/2011 7:34:48 PM
only one thing to say SWEET!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: heroclix fan on 8/29/2011 6:16:24 PM
I was reading Dan Slott's run on Mighty Avengers last night which is pretty darn fun. Anybody that gets you cheering for Pym is a great writer :-)

So here's hoping we see Hulk's pals Amadeus Cho and Wasp (Hank Pym as the Scientist Supreme) in this set. Cho deserves more than a pog since he can utilize his brain to essentially use the Sharpshooter skill. He also needs a witty white power involving junkfood.

As a matter of fact, the Heroes for Hire were involved in World War Hulk so this is a good opportunity to elevate Colleen Wing and Misty Knight from pogs into clix and make a couple fun guys like Orka and Humbug.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 8/29/2011 2:49:37 PM
honestly not much of a hulk fan but the set has potential, dormammu, or a blackheart would be amazingg!!! or even better hopefully the brutes from fear itself they would be the sickest clix ever.

Posted by: juggernuts on 8/26/2011 9:47:10 PM
i need this set they need to remake a mr sinister but im not realy hoping to much in this set for that to happen but yes a new blackbolt please and a bruce that has perplex through his dial and he can AE into many different hulks that have no activation click because he would basicaly be an activation click for them and i would also like maby the super boosters to return, not as part of the brick but something you can buy seperatly i think would be nice, and yes i hope the set is INCREDIBLE it will be intresting

Posted by: hamhawk on 8/26/2011 10:41:30 AM
I think I just wet myself! Damm its so far away though, I can't wait!

Posted by: Mario on 8/26/2011 5:31:26 AM
Owl man how can you not be a hulk fan man?!!

Posted by: theo on 8/26/2011 1:38:53 AM
Not a Hulk fan whatsoever; I just want at least a new Black Bolt, and/or Dormammu, or at least a new Taskmaster. (Or a Constrictor, maybe??) Ah, I know, Madcap! They haven't made him yet!

Posted by: Owlman166 on 8/25/2011 9:48:21 AM
O MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: theo on 8/24/2011 2:31:13 PM
First to japete61 IG is for Infinity Gauntlet.

From what I saw of the photos and threads on another site about Gencon I thought IG was the 45-50 "Cosmic" figure set due to come out in January and that the special prize support or participation for it was the gems that run once a month for 8 months.

Posted by: Nightwing-fan on 8/24/2011 9:59:42 AM
YES YES YES

cant wait, hoping there is a hulk figure that is truly a monster on the map. Complete destruction.

Posted by: K on 8/24/2011 8:17:39 AM
@Nightwing-fan, What does IG stand for that you used as the set thats comming out after Hulk?

Posted by: japete61 on 8/24/2011 7:35:17 AM
there is a red hulk on the top of the booster box!!!!!!! look closely

Posted by: fannypackfunsack on 8/24/2011 7:22:30 AM
@Tom: that is correct. I highly suspect that putting the 6th figure in the booster itself was done for cost cutting reasons -- it may be cheaper to include it in a booster than it is to hire people to sit around and process BITB forms, process money, and mail a completely separate figure.

Posted by: The Le on 8/24/2011 5:26:08 AM
First, to Nightwing-fan: Infinity Gauntlet is not a set, it's a multi-set prize support theme that will roll out over (IIRC) roughly eight months. To the best of my knowledge we don't know when the Avengers and a cosmic theme will be coming in 2012, other than that they'll both planned to be within the first half of the year. If they've stuck with the plan the Hulk set will be the first of the slightly smaller sets and will be coming out more frequently.

As for the image, man, I hope this is someone's joke. Hulked-Out Heroes as a theme? What a damn waste. The brick piece is an A.I.Marine Hulk? I hope I'm not hearing the sounds of what I'd hope would be a great cap to the year being flushed down the john.

Posted by: Miraclo on 8/24/2011 5:13:59 AM
While it looks good, I wondering what wizkids is doing. Superman is due out at the end of September meaning the sealed event at most stores is the first weekend in October. Hulk is December and Infinity Gauntlet is January. I know the sets are to become smaller starting with Hulk, but it is coming out at a bad time. We still should be playing for Superman's prize support and then there is Christmas in there and it looks like no break between the two Marvel sets.

While I'm sure this will sell out to distributors before it even comes out in the stores. I know some of the players at my venue may have to choose between Hulk and IG when buying boosters. I honestly think they are trying to throw to much at us all at once.

Posted by: Nightwing-fan on 8/24/2011 4:57:02 AM
If I'm reading the disclaimer right, the BIBTB will be in the boosters again, as a sixth figure. Personally, I think you SHOULD have to buy a brick to get one, but I also understand that not everyone can afford to do that.

Posted by: Tom on 8/24/2011 4:12:23 AM
My bet is that Hulkpool will be the chase from this set. Deadpool clix are kept rare on purpose it seems.

I'm hoping to see the rest of the warbound filled out personally; hoping it's not just recent hulk stuff. Since this is Leader #3 I'd like to see Madman as well.

The classic hulk looks great, almost like the Lou Ferrigno version, although not as low-powered I bet.

It'd be fun to see some of his girlfriends: Betty Ross, Jarella, Caiera, Kate Waynesboro.

She-Hulk (Lyra) would be a good candidate for meta-game design. Trait: If the player gets frustrated enough to curse or shout after a die roll, Lyra takes a click of penetrating damage.

Posted by: Kragnorak on 8/23/2011 10:22:24 PM
@The Blue Hope: Nitpicking is good! I was working on a different article when I saw the HULK poster, so I quickly put the poster up -- totally lost my train of thought... and apparently my grammar.

"We've" been replaced by "We're"... thanks.

Posted by: The Le on 8/23/2011 7:57:18 PM
Notice how all the ones they show are the ones on the visible sides of the boxes? No chance to guess at any more :(
Also that A.I.Marine Hulk appears to have very weak ankles :)

Posted by: Cap'n Frank on 8/23/2011 7:02:26 PM
I hate to nitpick, but I noticed a typo. It says WE'VE excited to get a Bruce Banner fig, when it should say WE'RE.

Posted by: The Blue Hope on 8/23/2011 6:47:10 PM
I liked the Rampaging Hulk n Green Scar Hulk from M & M. Would like to see the Shadow priest from the Warbound, some reason they didnt have him in M & M. Everyones talking bout Abomination from Av set, he was Ultimate U variation. Of course they r going to have the reg Marvel U one In a Hulk set. Hope to see a new Gladiator. Im sure the Hulked out Heroes r going to be chase figures(which suks) maybe they will make them in abundance so I get one in every brick like they did with Cap. Poster is looking cool, def plan on getting a brick

Posted by: geminimerc on 8/23/2011 6:45:25 PM
ya a hulkbuster would be awesome i love the one from mutations and monsters

Posted by: sgtfury on 8/23/2011 6:15:26 PM
Liking this promo poster; Are the Hulked-Out Heroes gonna = Chases? I hope not but it wouldn't surprise me. This set should be interesting.

Posted by: rwint1968 on 8/23/2011 6:12:35 PM
@sgtfury, They almost have to have General Ross, She Hulk, and Zzzax. Just because we don't see them in the poster does not mean that we won't get them. I would also like to see a Hulkbuster unit minion figure that goes with General Ross.

Posted by: japete61 on 8/23/2011 5:40:52 PM
Wow, this set already looks great even just from the poster!!! And it looks like I'm going to get my Bruce Banner AE like I wanted. However, I hope they don't "Hulk out" all the heroes and have no regular versions of people. I can't wait to order my case!

Posted by: japete61 on 8/23/2011 5:35:14 PM
i dont like how wizkids is making all these different hulks why cant we get a new zzzax or general ross or she hulk

Posted by: sgtfury on 8/23/2011 5:35:01 PM
A new Blackbolt and iluminnauti would be good to see in this set for world war Hulk. If they remake Blackbolt like they should I would also like to see the rest of the inhumans made. They could do a Blackbolt/lockjaw duo, Blackbolt/medusa duo, or Crystal/human torch also. @ Spider-Man 071, I agree about the Aboomination he needs redone the avengers one was terrible, he should be almost as powerful as Hulk.

Posted by: Japete61 on 8/21/2011 7:02:02 PM
I would LOVE a New Fantastic Four...

You are so right!

Posted by: Madrox1737 on 8/18/2011 4:00:42 PM
NEW FANTASTIC FOUR!!! Hulk, Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Spiderman!!!!!!

Posted by: Nick on 8/18/2011 12:14:53 PM
@japete yeah I agree they have to make a world war hulk. All we got to see in Mutatations and Monsters was Planet Hulk. I'd also like to see a decent Abomination fig. The last one from the Avengers set sucked!

Posted by: Spider-Man 071 on 8/10/2011 8:52:18 AM
Please let them make an banner AE. I also think a world war Hulk and skaar would be great! Oh and also a General Ross AE. I would also like to see a sub theme of either shiarr, savage land, or inhumans.

Posted by: Japete61 on 7/31/2011 12:41:17 PM
i was really hoping the the little sub-theme would be avengers academy maybe that'd be cool

Posted by: Alex on 7/21/2011 7:03:42 PM
Three words:

Remake Joe Fixit!

And I would not mind a pink bunny slippers sporting Professor Hulk too while we are on the subject.

Posted by: Madrox1737 on 7/19/2011 9:39:27 PM
Please let there be the Asguardian Brutes that are currently terrorizing the Marvel universe in Fear Itself...

Posted by: GraySmokeWolf on 7/19/2011 9:33:29 PM
I'm really excited about this set also...especially since invisible woman has the lady liberators keyword...so She-hulk is a definite in the set and I'm hoping wizkids continues the "never before made" additions like they did in the Cap set so we get thundra (and of course her daughter lyra the savage she-hulk. for some reason none of the black widows in cap had the lady liberators KW so there may be another in the hulk set...other Lady Libs are Wasp, Scarlet witch, and medusa...all 3 do not have a modern age version so I'm betting on them!

Posted by: HepatitvsJ on 7/19/2011 1:19:06 PM
Hope we get Skarr& a Hulk that is worth useing seeing as there really isnt one that is THE STROGEST THERE IS!!!!!!

Posted by: Zack on 7/15/2011 3:47:15 PM
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW EEEEEEEEEEEEE SSSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEE !!!!!!!!!!!! I WANT A SKARR!!!!!!

Posted by: Kastro on 7/12/2011 12:37:26 PM
Yes i want a real and OP HULK,not a weak hulk.....

Posted by: Goro on 7/8/2011 12:35:49 PM
YEEEESSSSS!!!!! INTELIGENCIA PLEASE!!!!!

Posted by: Lord Logan on 7/8/2011 10:35:20 AM
sparkdemon,

I'm not sure what your complaint is exactly. You just named 3 DC sets vs. 4 Marvel sets, which is about what it has always been. The latest starter was also DC.

Personally, I would rather see Indy characters get better treatment even if they have to trickle them out in collector sets.

I think that to balance out the Marvel vs. Capcom battles we will be able to have soon, there should be Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe as well...

Posted by: Kragnorak on 7/8/2011 8:04:20 AM
WOW seriously?! ok i have been playing since right after my local shop ran out of B&B packs. since then we have had:
web of spiderman (marvel)
dc 75th (dc)
GSX (marvel)
on wednesday cap (marvel) and before GSX i heard of superman....
street fighter has been in the works forever.. no love for dc at all so far it seems! like wtf! this superman set has been set for long enough now, we have had 2 marvel sets in a row, and now it might be 3 it looks like

Posted by: sparkdemon on 7/7/2011 5:30:57 PM
Maybe we can get a world war hulk super rare in this set. Not the gladiator one, but the one that took on most of the marvel universe.

Posted by: Heroclixrock on 7/7/2011 5:22:52 PM
please i hope there is a worthy hulk in this set a real hulk that every one will be trying to get a their hands on because he is so good lol and i hope he isnt a stupid rookie Unique or vet not that it matters but w/e lol

Posted by: mario psnmario on 7/7/2011 5:03:45 PM
@SevenFeathers: Well, word of this set (and the other Marvel sets) have been swirling for months now, but I didn't have anything "official" to announce until now.

Posted by: The Le on 7/7/2011 12:25:18 PM
this excites me, here is to hoping that there is a Bruce Banner AE into one or more different Hulks :)

actually here is to hoping that there is multiple AEs (Betty to Red She Hulk, General Ross to Red Hulk, Rick to A-Bomb, even Doc Samsom to Evil Doc Samson hehehehe...)

i am pretty confident that we will see the Bruce Banner AE to one or more Hulk(s).

thank you The Le, good spoiler

Posted by: SevenFeathers on 7/7/2011 12:03:17 PM
Much like Alex, I was hoping for this to happen for a long time. Hopefully there is a legit, noteworthy Hulk In this set. This will be perfect for Christmas time!!

Posted by: Hulk Smash on 7/7/2011 11:21:16 AM
I have been waiting for a new hulk a good hulk not red hulk not his incarnatio. And not a gray one like in mutations and monsters but an honest to goodness mean green smashing machine. PLEASE wizkids no start up clix
