#4 Lancer
This standard COG rifle carries the biggest ammo-clip of all the Gears of War weapons (500 ammo!) and has the devastating chainsaw attached to it for instant-kills. But there are several things that keeps it from rating higher. It's range is fairly limited, it's damage is potential is very low, and finding ammunition can be tough in Horde mode or even single player campaign mode. In fact, the chainsaw attached to the tip is the only reason the Lancer makes it on this list at all!

That being said, I have to say that the Chainsaw-Lancer death is probably the most spectacular death in the game. It's especially gratifying if you can pull it off by winning a chainsaw duel!
