Round 6 introduces yet another curious development for the story as Hope Summers decides she wants to leave the X-Men and go with the Avengers. An outraged Cyclops (who previously told Hope she is not a prisoner and can leave anytime.) denies her request, in true tyrant fashion. Only when the Scarlet Witch intervenes is Hope allowed to leave Utopia. This leaves Cyclops less than thrilled with the Avengers to say the least.

Now I have heard various readers in shops discussing this story and some have been very critical of Captain America’s behavior throughout this story. Many feel that Cap has been acting in a more fascist manor lately. But then again, maybe Cap has been right all along. Maybe the X-Men can’t handle the power they now wield. I think that Cap understand that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Perhaps readers should have a little more faith in the star spangled man with a plan.

In any event, round 6 ends with Cyclops expressing that he has had enough of the Avengers interference. It looks like the Avengers just signed themselves up for a mountain of trouble come next issue.
