The Le: I understand that you and The Zombie's Hand artist had a book out before. Can you tell me about Knight Hawkes?
K.Boink: Knight-Hawke Investigations actually came about as a story about my old Champions rpg characters (which centered around Jonathan Hawke). Unfortunately our timing was bad. It was published by Entity comics just before they ceased publishing. We only had a single issue. We retained all the rights to the property though, and are now considering bringing it back.
The Le: You used to own a comic shop, is that right? What happened with that?
K.Boink: I owned Mega City Comics in Virginia Beach. It was successful for the first 3 years, but then in 1993 the business had a huge crash and over 2000 shops closed in just 2 months. I was one of them.
The Le: Where do you see The Zombie's Hand, and Eddie Cadaver, going in the future?
K.Boink: If we get the chance to tell the whole story it will deal with conspiracys, addiction, corrupt politions, pedaphiles, televangilists, and media gone wild. It will feature chapters in a variety of styles such as a Harvey comics story and one in the style of one of those old Jack Chic religious comics you sometimes find lying around left in some public place.
The Le: So what can our readers do to help?
K.Boink: What we need people to do is register at the Zuda website. Vote for us, make us a favorite, leave a comment, and give us 5 stars. They count everything, so we need your support.
The Le: So did you play HorroClix?
K.Boink: I was a huge Horrorclix fan! I own a complete set of all of the Horrorclix and am really hopeful they will revive the game. There are so many different monsters they could still do.
The Zombie's Hand is available online now at Zuda website. Please consider voting for it (and mark as favorite, and leave a comment). We don't see many Zombie comics these days, especially from HeroClix/HorrorClix players.
