#1: Spider-Girl
Ironically, the best "Spider-Man" Dial out there is Spider-Girl. At just 77 points she's perfect for any offensive team -- she's can dish out the damage, has lasting power, is a wildcard, and is pretty cheap to field.
Unlike Cosmic Spidey, Spider-Girl's low points makes her attractive on almost any team (and having a Wild Card makes her even more useful). We start things off with her extreme mobility and move-and-attack powers, thanks to Leap/Climb and Running Shot.
Sure, she only has a natural [2] damage for her entire dial, but with Incapacitate and Super Strength, she's going to be able to stop almost anyone -- remember, Incapacitate is a Hulk-stopper. And if you get her in the mid and late dials, she can deal damage through Invulnerability thanks to Ranged Combat Expert, and even go right through Impervious with her 3 whopping clicks of Exploit Weakness.
And let's not forget her defense... starting out with [18] and [17] is great, but coupled with an entire dial of Super Senses and you have some major lasting power. There's some Combat Reflexes in the middle that can take her up to a 19 defense gainst close attacks too!
Cosmic Spidey may be a powerhouse, but he doesn't have the sheer finesse and flexibility that Spider-Girl has, and that's why she's #1.
From wikipedia:Spider-Girl (May "Mayday" Parker) is a superheroine in Marvel Comics' MC2 universe. The character was created by Tom DeFalco and Ron Frenz as the teenage daughter of Peter Parker (Spider-Man) and Mary Jane Watson, and first appeared in What If (vol. 2) #105 (February 1998). She later acquired her own ongoing comic book, Spider-Girl, written by DeFalco and drawn by Frenz and Pat Olliffe, which was the longest-running superhero book with a lead female character ever published by Marvel before being relaunched as The Amazing Spider-Girl, and later The Spectacular Spider-Girl. Peter and Mary Jane named their daughter after his Aunt May.
