06-29-2012: Mage Knight is back! Well, sort of. There's a Kickstarter campaign to reboot the Mage Knight franchise as an online game. Here's what we know.

•The initial launch features at least three of the fan favorite factions from the original Mage Knight in a digital game. Simultaneously, as a Kickstarter exclusive, we’re releasing several of the characters from each faction as physical figures with stats playable using both original Mage Knight and modern HeroClix rules.

•WizKids Games has agreed to bring back the original Mage Knight physical game based on response to this Kickstarter.

•Using WizKids’ Clix bases, each character on the field changes in stats and powers as it takes damage, giving you lots of new options as each battle progresses.

vEach battle is tied together by a strategic world map where you maneuver your forces to take and hold territory, and to accomplish story objectives.

•As you win battles, your figures will gain experience, level up to better dials, and eventually have options to upgrade into new career paths.

•The initial game launch will be for Web and mobile, with support for additional platforms potentially added based on stretch goals in this Kickstarter.

A $15 pledge is all you need to get a beta copy and full live copy once it is released.
