Welcome to a new edition of Hypersonic Reviews! Today we're going to take a hypersonic look at the Avengers Age of Ultron Movie HeroClix starter set! This set comes with our favorite 6 Movie Avenges: Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, and Hawkeye!

Let's take a look now... (Continued below)

Age of Ultron HeroClix Movie Starter

Pros: Wow. for 100 points you have a beast of a figure that comes with Indomitable, Charge, Close Combat Expert, an 18 defense (with Toughness) and the Avengers Initatave TA (which lets him see through Stealth), and a killer Trait that lets him target practically anyone within 6 squares. WOOOOWWWWW.

Cons: He's kinda "broken", especially at 100 points. I wouldn't be surprised if we see an Errata on him in the future to nerf him.

Final Rating: A+

Really not digging this set. The Avenger pieces are cool, I guess, and I love the 300-point Hulk, but most of the set feels like forced team theming and trying desperately to make Mastermind and filled pieces useful. Ultron Prime's powers, in particular, irritate me for that reason. 250 Pt. Ultron? Totally fine. Making half his health mastermind that all but forces you to use Ultron 'bots? Lame.

Hawkeye+black widow = no respect... Yeah give hulk thor and cap all the good stuff... No respect... hawkeye is just horrible...and black window I smell a one shot... -.- that hulk is the most broken as I'm concernd.. At 350 points even world breaker don't have that much imperv/ stop clix etc... Ugh

I don't see how this cap is "broken" 6 squares adaicent big deal? Toughness? Big deal RS PW or outwit toughness and RCE for 5! he's no where near broken guys? he lacks ESD if anything? besides I'd just charge blades and exploit him and he's pretty much butter! this cap wouldn't last two turns in the map against my team haha nice fig tho.

Wow that Hulk has four consecutive stop clx! Sure he might rage out on you or get outwitted but ouch! That final click is amazing too! Not sure I agree that Cap is broken though.18D with toughness isn't what it used to be.

Cap's Shield Toss... Doesn't this seem cheesy to stack with Close Combat Expert? Cap's 4 damage attack should represent him doing a downward smash with the shield, not just a throw.

This iron man is called "Iron Man Mk. 42" but what I assume is the same figure, 101 is just called "iron man" in the pics from the other post. Hmmmm.
