HeroClix World Winers Can Be Losers The Superfriends is dear to my heart, as well as many others -- it was one of the first superhero team cartoons on television, lasting a whopping 13 years! With over 109 episodes, it brought me my first look at the DC Universe. Unfortunately, that also included the Wonder Twins and that no-talent-hockey-puck of a monkey Gleek.

A few years ago, Cartoon Network re-aired the Superfriends in all its cheesy glory, and with it came one of the best commercials ever.

And so we present, Winers can Be Losers...

(Mattel made 4 of the 5, missing Rima the Jungle Girl). Apache Chief and Manitou Raven could have a swap mechanic like the versions of Mordru have where Apache Chief is a giant but Manitou Raven is normal sized.

Maybe the next time WK makes the Justice League as a theme. With the Justice League new 52 set retiring, how long can that be?

Yes, the Wonder Twins can be annoying, but the Challenge of the Super-Friends year, which this commercial pokes fun at is such an iconic story that WizKids made the Legion of Doom from that show the Fast Forces from the recent Legions set of HeroClix.

The one sad note is that once again, we did not get a Toyman figure that looks like the Toyman from the cartoon. Mattel actually gave us the Challenge SF Toyman in their DC Universe Classics line (maybe theLE could put up a picture of the figure here - may I suggest http://www.dcuc.info/category/wave_18/ ).

If Mattel can make these Super Friends pieces, shouldn't WizKids be able to make them too?

The real question related to HeroClix is, if WizKids was able to include the Wonder Twins and Gleek as pieces in the game, why have we not seen the rest of the team like El Dorado and Rima?

I'd also gladly take their counterparts from the Justice League Unlimited cartoon: Wind Dragon, Longshadow and Juice.

And while we are taking cartoons I'd like to see the new Aqualad and Artemis from Young Justice in the game.

Finally, lets not forget Manitou Raven who was written as a homage to one of them.
