Iron Man 3: So, Is The Third Time The Charm For Tony Stark? Not Entirely.
Iron Man 3 soars into theaters and the box office couldn't be happier. I don’t want to give anyone the wrong impression, Iron Man 3 is far from the worst film in the superhero genera. Certainly movies like Green Lantern, Batman and Robin and Ghost Rider come to mind. Still, some serious plot problems and lack of elucidation make Iron Man 3 the flimsiest in the franchise.
**Warning: Spoilers Ahead**
The story catches up with Tony Stark afflicted by insomnia and frequent panic attacks after the events that took place in Marvel’s the Avengers. So in his spare time he builds some new armor, make that lot of new armors. Enter the Mandarin, a terrorist who begins causing all manner of catastrophes around the globe. So Tony, being Tony, challenges the Mandarin with the equivalent of a pick on somebody your own size style threat. This leads to an attack that destroys Stark’s home and leaves him stranded in unfamiliar territory with only a failing prototype suit.
