Welcome back to another rendition of Hiro Clix! This time we’re finally featuring everyone’s favorite optimistic, brightly colored ninja, Naruto Uzumaki! Hiro Clix is a series that brings you specific characters from anime shows and puts them in HeroClix form.
In the Naruto series, ninjas from multiple villages channel chakra, a special energy within the body, to use jutsu. Jutsu are techniques emitted through hand signs that allow ninjas to emit incredible powers. Naruto is the protagonist of the series and seeks to become the greatest Hokage, or Leaf Village Leader, that has ever existed. The only trouble, however is that he has to deal with a nine-tailed fox demon inside him!
Naruto may be a ninja, but he was never one to emphasize Stealth. He was always first in the fray as his patience was usually thin, thus he has Charge in the beginning and throughout his dial. One to take a beating and still stand, Naruto has Indomitable will and a touch of Toughness as he doesn’t let his enemies get the best of him. His main and most favorite attack is the Rasengan, a jutsu developed by his father that knocks back any enemy in its way while doing massive amounts of damage.
Playing with Naruto: Naruto is a strong secondary attacker that can dish out a lot of damage at a cheap cost of 89 points. While he does have some range from his various ninja tools, close combat is more of his strong suit. He may need a lift to get him securely into battle, but your flier only needs to place him within charging range.
Playing against Naruto: Naruto is best fought at a distance, for his most deadly attack throughout most of his dial is that Rasengan. Swarming your characters should be avoided so that if Naruto manages to hit a target with his Rasengan, he’ll have to put some effort into getting close to the same or new target. Naruto’s greatest weakness may be that his strongest power places a distance between him and enemies. Finally, after knocking Naruto around a bit, Kurama, the nine-tailed fox demon, will lend Naruto a hand giving him great strength and damage. While Naruto has the potential to heal with Regeneration, take advantage of the lack of damage reducers.
That’s it for this Hiro Clix article and I hope you enjoyed seeing a familiar face. Take care and have faith in your dice rolls, “Believe it!”
