The Le: So are you a big comic book fan? It looks like the Green Lanterns may be your favorite comic characters?

Goldeeh: Yes, I'm a big comic book fan, but I wasn't always a GL fan. When I was a kid, my favorite characters were Daredevil and Ghost Rider. One of the first comic books I ever read, I believe, was a Daredevil comicbook where he fought Sabretooth in the sewers. However, it wasn't until I was a teenager that I started getting into seriously collecting comics. I started with Uncanny X-Men (during the Silverstri/Lee/Clairmont era), Wolverine (pre-origin), New Mutants (eventually X-Force), Ghost Rider (Danny Ketch), X-Factor (Portacio era).

For the most part, I was one of those guys who shouted "Make Mine Marvel!" from rooftops (until I got arrested for public disturbance, hehe), but DC slowly crept in.

Besides Green Lantern, I got into Justice League Elite and Teen Titans (with Superboy, Wonder Girl, Kid Flash, etc.). I still collected mostly Marvel comics, followed X-Men storylines a bit, loved the New Avengers and all, but after Civil War, I dropped Marvel ENTIRELY (with the exception of Ultimates 2, I think).

Actually, I quit comics entirely for the second time because I was dissatisfied with DC as well (they killed Superboy in Infinite Crisis, Kyle Rayner wasn't the main GL anymore, etc.). I was out of the loop, and not until I picked up a Sinestro Corps War compilation did I start reading comics again. This time around, though, I limited myself to just Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps.
