The VANGARD Fortress is designed for the offensive player, and is meant for being placed in the front lines of combat. It loses the PD and SHIELD TAs in favor of the MYSTICS. Much of it's Toughness is traded in for Super Senses, but the VANGARD's heavy focus on Ranged Combat Expert will allow it to deal 5 damage to any foe.

I think the Celestial Fortress can actually Mind Control opposing Fortresses, as even though Cold Steel states "This Fortress ignores opposing character's Mind Control", it also says "This Fortress' powers cannot be ignored." So your opponents Fortress tries to ignore an unignorable Mind Control.
